Hoar Frost – If you live in Winnipeg or surrounding areas, I’m sure you noticed the hoar frost magically covering everything outside when you got up this morning. This breath-taking beauty lasted all day – each time I looked outside my window or walked outside, I couldn’t help but take note of the fairyland that God had created. Hoar frost is tiny frozen water crystals, similar to dew, but found only in freezing temperatures (and we get plenty of that!). For hoar frost to occur, many complex environmental factors have to align “just so”: a miracle. I keep thinking about how that is similar to us and how things happen in our lives. Often so many factors must line up “just so,” and suddenly we find ourselves in miracle territory. Do we recognize the God of miracles, though? That’s a lesson for me today!
