Domaine Gramenon - La Mémé Ceps Centenaires, extremely old Grenache vines in Montbrison, Southern Rhône, vintage 2016: It’s heady and generous, extremely seductive smelling. I can actually smell it rising from the glass and my nose is at least 2 feet away from it. Spicy dark cherries with a touch of liquorice root and sweet raspberry climb out from beneath this graphite core and just billow out of the glass. There’s this note which I’ve come to think of as a Gramenon hallmark which I perceive as orange rind and dark chocolate along with a touch of buttered popcorn which is clearly present in this wine and pleases me immensely. Powerful dark cherry with raspberry cola and that orange, chocolate, buttered popcorn combo hit the tongue and move right over it coating from start to finish in a silken sheath of utter deliciousness. The wines has that back palate power thing in spades, fruit turns to spice and spice turns to this crazy, savoury mushroomy umami pungency all whilst these fine, dusty tannins keep your mouth busy touching itself...
Is it wine Wednesday yet? No? But we still have a great wine for you. So this bottle looks fancy as shit but it was ONLY $6.99!! It was an amazing merlot that we paired with pretzels and string cheese and it was amazing, smooth and had just the right amount of body to make it enjoyable but also easy as fuck to drink. So easy to sneak this wine in around people who are more together than you and or relatives and they won’t think you’re a cheap wine drinkin ass hole. For sure will be drinking this again soon. 8.8/10

When you think of wineries, you probably envision a big estate house, lush vines, and rolling hills. Of course, each winery has its own unique atmosphere, but these three are truly unique and strange #Linkinbio 👆
Each vineyard we source from is an incredible time capsule, holding inside its soil stories of lost seas, long-ago land grants and generations of hardworking farmers. We’re honored to be able to share a bit of that history with you with wines made from these special sites. #WinesFromTheFringe

Jolie-Laide - beautiful ugly but there is nothing ugly about this wine 😍🤤
This is a perfect wine for the first few days off fall. Thankful for a new season 🙏🏻
Oh. My. Gosh. How cool is this decanter!?!? Not only does this beautifully #aerate the wine, but there is never a drop wasted. It can be tilted the other way, and refill the bottle and re-corked to take home. Although... who doesn’t finish their wine...? 🤣
Why does wine require #decanting and/or aerating? Decanting a wine can artificially age the wine if the wine isn’t “technically” not aged appropriately. The longer a wine decants, the more the wine ‘opens up’ or breaks down the severe #tannins into beautiful #flavors and scents. But... leave it out too long and you could quickly make a very expensive vinegar!
