I always enjoy harvest events with my Texas wine peeps! And the Messina Hof Media and Sponsor event is one I look to forward to every year. It’s a great time to catch up with old friends (shoutout to @redshoesredwine & @kb885), make new ones, learn about the growing season, and the great wines to come.
Their Grenache Rose is an absolutely beautiful wine with delicate floral and fruit aromas. Having it and taking in the views was even better. Cheers to #HarvestSeason

So excited to have this beauty in our store. M. Lapierre Morgon 2017. 100% Gamay that undergoes a short “carbonic maceration.” This funky method is traditionally used in Beaujolais and gives the signature “bubblegum” note to nouveau wines. Here, it just helps lift the fresh fruity notes.

🇪🇸 FREIXENET 'RESERVA REAL' DO CAVA BRUT is a cuvée of macabeo, parellada, xarel-lo 30 months on yeasts. It's brilliant lemon, candied cedar, quince, officinal herbs, pan brioche, chalk. What affected me more about this wine was the high acidity, that I perceived so strong only after swallowing. In fact it was yet balanced by round and tasty body and it made me guess that in one or two years it will be more complex and fascinating. I liked it so much.
🇪🇸FREIXENET 'CAN SALA' DO CAVA PARAJE CALIFICADO BRUT NATURE 2007 is the highest quality product of Freixenet winery and one of the first Cavas recognized as "Paraje calificado" in Cava DO. This wine is made in the original historical winery of Ferrer Sala family: Casa Sala is the place where the first bottle of Freixenet Cava was made. They use Coquard press, originating in the Champagne area. It is a Cava 'Gran Reserva' made with the best grapes. Always vintage. It's a blend of xarel-lo and parellada, aged for seven years. Pale straw yellow with very fine perlage. Aristocratic nose that reminds some important Champagne cuvées and even Sherry finos. Pastry notes, quince, cocoa powder, riped papaya. Although the age, it still has unsuspecting acidity. It's a wonderful drink that deserves to be drunk. Thanks to Freixenet for this experience
Агмашенебели - ещё одна милая, атмосферная улочка Тбилиси. Я обожаю такие пешеходные улицы 😍 И в мире их становится все больше. Родную Алмату эта тенденция тоже не обошла стороной.
Настроение здесь поднимается ☀️ Фонарики тянутся сквозь всю улицу, яркие предметы экстерьера цепляют внимание, футуристические скамейки приковывают взгляд, кованые декоративные балкончики обвивает зелень 🌿😌.
Все это прекрасно, пока ты идёшь мимо. Но стоит присесть в одну из кафешек здесь, как замечаешь, как неаккуратно все сделано изнутри 😳 Оказалось, что весь марафет наводят только снаружи, для привлечения туристов. Внутри же - полный мрак. Никаких кондиционеров, меню везде так себе, цены сильно завышены, мебель покрыта пылью. Вот так 🤷🏼♀️ Смотреть - кайф. Как-то участвовать в этом - ну не айс совсем 😒

Tuscan Blends from Tuscany, Italy. “Tignanello has this amazing ability of always being, well, Tignanello. Its very DNA makes it among the most distinctive and recognizable wines in the world. I'm happy to report that this is also the case for the 2014 Tignanello that faced very different growing conditions compared to most. The wine is beautiful and balanced with sweet tannins and a supporting oak texture that is neatly folded at the back. The wine is all about measure and proportion, and it aspires to these goals with an impressive sense of natural harmony. This is not an overtly powerful or muscular expression. Instead, it shows a tasty, almost savory form of elegance. This vintage was made with 75% Sangiovese, which means that the Cabernet presence is a tad bigger than normal. Ultimately, this wine is more finessed and delicate, and I appreciate the careful tannic management on display here.”
