A mere 3 months ago, this is what the vines were wearing. A lovely colour on her, don’t you think? 😋
Have you seen the gorgeous green growth lately?
Not sure about you, but we think vines look pretty in whatever they decide to dress in. 😉
Mmmm. @Babylonstoren knows how to put a snack together. And they know how to make my kind of Chardonnay. Yes, yes, yes.
Thank you, my beautiful-from-the-inside-out friends, Simone (@sim1177) and Graham. I think Emily and I equally enjoyed our unplanned adventure with you. Thank you for the food and wine spoil, and for keeping Emily entertained (a.k.a. jogging around a wine farm 😂). xx
Cardboard and canvas, brown with flecks of orange - this work by Mapondera caught my eye. It is part of a group show on South African abstraction ranging from the big 20th century big names (eg Villa, Skotnes and Battiss) to mid career (eg John Murray, Pierre Vanmeulen and Mongezi Ncaphayi). I loved it and the space - definitely the place to go in Stellenbosch for all contemporary art junkies, like me!
I was in the area to collect wine from the De Meye farm. Lulu, the dog, greeted us before the squirrel caught her attention. They didn't seem to bother the hoopoe, peacock or weaver birds! How glorious to be such beautiful countryside in sunny but chilly Spring.
