Curio scraps from an upcoming fabric release from @windhamfabrics ! I’m creating a sample quilt of my own design to be featured in the lookbook. Curio features bright colors and fun hidden surprises. Shoutout to @jbcrabtree for cutting out all my paper piecing templates! #windhamfabrics#scraps#paperpiecing#organizedchaos
March seems like soooooo long to wait for CURIO! Especially when I have sample yardage in the studio. At least this will give @windhamfabrics and me plenty of time to develop awesome ideas and patterns for what you can do with the collection!
Finished baby quilt! My friends just had a lovely daughter named Ada Joy. They didn't know if they were having a boy or a girl, and it didn't really matter since none of us really follow the gender rules.
This quilt started with the panel. I sashed with Artisan Cotton in Grape, which is a yarn-dyed made of blue and red threads. The colors change from different angles and the quilting really brought that out. I love the effect and will be using more chambray/shot/yarn-dyed fabrics in the future. The backing is a @sylviedemersart digital print cotton with all the colors of the rainbow. I quilted with loops and stippling in #aurifilthread in matching colors. Batting is Dream Orient, so it's really drapey. I love how this turned out! #quiltersdream#stoffabrics#windhamfabrics
It's Black Cat Appreciation Day! We love all cats and have our own office fur ball, Callie. Check out our new line Somebody to Love, which features two (6) block panels celebrating our furry best friends, Cats & Dogs of course. Here's a picture of our own calico kitty too! If you haven't yet give your furry friend a big hug. Happy Friday😊🐱 #windhamfabrics

I am so excited about this fabric! Much different from norm, but who can resist? I am like a kid in a candy shop. Available January, but pre-orders will be in the website this weekend!
Tell me what you think!
Oh my, I think I also finally caught the HR bug. I know, I know. I’m super late to the game and have lots of catch up to do. So, thanks to dear quilty friends who support my new addiction. But seriously, thanks so much Annabel @littlepincushionstudio for sharing the HR love with me... 💓🌷🌸🍑🐭🍓🍯.
Now. I wish my sewing mojo is returning and I get to use these beauties. But hmmm, what am I making first?
I am so thrilled to announce the launch of the new Tillalili.com website!
I’m launching my new shop today in honor of my Aunt Lilly (as in Tilla”LILI”). Today I send birthday wishes to her in heaven. She was, and still is, the most amazing person I’ve ever known. She always encouraged my “crafty” side, and would be thrilled where that aspect has taken me.
Not all the fabric is listed in the shop but I will continue to list fabric and precuts as quickly as possible. In the meantime I hope you will go take a look around.
Use the link in my profile and read the Welcome blog post for info on how to navigate the site for the best shopping experience.

It’s that wonderful time again: our monthly Instagram giveaway! This month we are giving away six fat quarters of Sugar Sack by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics. Tag a friend you want to retreat with to enter yourself. Winner announced Friday. And may the odds be ever in your favor!
Week 33 of the #fussycuttingsewalong is travel sections! Choosing a larger motif (or using smaller hexies) makes section fussy cutting easier!!
1. Choose a motif that represents travel for you - this could be anything from travel modes (cars, buses, coaches, planes, bikes, backpacks, boats), to motifs that represent a country you want to travel to, motifs that represent a country you've already travelled to, motifs on a fabric which you bought on your travels, motifs on a fabric which was bought for you on someone elses travels, motifs of something you do whilst on your travels....the world is your oyster (quite literally with this month's theme!) ! I have chosen this 'Destination Paris' fabric by @windhamfabrics (photo 1).
2. Isolate a SECTION of your travel motif to cut and baste for your hexie (photos 2 & 3). When you do section fussy cutting, we shouldn't be able to identify what the original motif is/was! I have chosen to isolate a section of the Eiffel Tower (photos 2 & 3).
3. Repeat this isolated section of your travel motif until you have 6 hexagons with the same isolated summer section on them (photo 4). 4. Then place these 6 hexies around your centre hexagon to create a NEW pattern/design (photo 5).
Remember to have a play with your hexie flower layout as you can create new patterns simply by changing the angle of your hexies (swipe to see my possibilities!)
TO JOIN IN WITH THE SEWALONG please add "This is my hexie flower for week 33 of the #fussycuttingsewalong hosted by @naomialicec " to your post along with any other wording! PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO SAY WHO IT IS HOSTED BY as this makes it easier for people to know who to ask questions to if they are interested in taking part!
