This morning, about 10km from home, we spotted lions, rhinos, gazelles, warthogs, jackals, zebras, giraffes, ostriches and buffalos against a backdrop of Nairobi’s skyline as well as planes taking off and landing in the nearby airports!
Sadly, we also saw the progressing construction of the elevated railway crossing the park... #nairobinationalpark#ilovenature#protectnature#wildlifeinthecity
📗WILD CAMPUS is the title of my dissertation project, which looks at the role of urban green spaces for wildlife conservation and for people. I took the specific case of the @uniofnottingham to showcase the crazy variety of wildlife that the campus contains and inspire people to care about the nature at their doorstep. Obviously, this is my small tribute to Ryan the gosling, who made it to the cover.🐥 Super thanks to all the people who have helped me obtain some of the featured images, from Ian's badgers to Steve's (@steveparkranger) moths. To all of you, thanks!☺
A lovely rat inspects a hole in a snowy day at the University of Nottingham. In my experience rats have always been very shy with me and I've only had a handful of occasions where I could photograph them (see the profile for that😀). This was filmed with an apeman A80 using the motion detection mode. I found this suspicious hole and I was curious about who might live in it. Here is a candidate!
