Monotropa uniflora - the Ghost Plant. It contains no chlorophyll and doesn't need sunlight - it is actually a parasitic plant that grows on mycorrhizal fungi, often on the roots of the beech tree. Very cool find.
At this moment i was clinging onto a steep scree-field perched below a massive line of cliffs, unsure where I was until I rounded the corner to find this. I was legit screaming with excitement.
