Nittardi BEN 2017 made from 100 % Vermentino. There is good structure to this wine, a tangy, citrusy freshness to complement the tomato/ chilli-based sauce of the crabs and a tinge of minerality to intensify the crisp seafood taste.
3) Singapore Chicken Rice

A golden cider, literally. Made by Bob Chaplin and Bob Cork who are both cider masters. The masters knew it was good when they decided to brand it with their names! This is a vibrant and fine carbonated cider that is medium dry. Just imagine a cold, autumnal and crisp day (very much like today) and then think... Cider. Harmonised flavours of dried straw, toffee and earthy notes, which is balanced with the sweetness and juicy apple notes. Lovely tangy acidity with grippy tannins, which provides the cider with more complexity and structure.
Good body and mouth feel, juicy with some bitter characteristics. •🍎•🍏•🍐•
It’s not all about tasting!
People always assume because we love Cider and Perry, we consume a lot it, because there is little history to learn or so. Wrong! Cider and Perry are both rich in history - and flavour. Most of the time, however, we are actually studying or listening to each others stories and experiences.
The world of Cider and Perry is rapidly changing and a having a revolution. Therefore, I can’t watch and see why it’s happening. I have to read, explore - and engage. Cider and Perry are closer to home than Wine, which is even more exciting.

Da Civiltà del Bere @civiltadelbere🏔Il nuovo Chardonnay di Cantina Tramin si chiama #Troy , in tedesco antico “sentiero”, come il percorso che la Cantina ha intrapreso e concluso per portare questo vitigno a dar vita a un prodotto d’eccellenza. Da vigneti a 500-550 metri a Sella (Pergola e Guyot), fermentazione in barrique 11 mesi, in acciaio un anno e mezzo. Lo abbiamo assaggiato a 2410 m, a confronto con Chardonnay dal mondo.

In the glass, this is a clear and brilliant golden yellow. On the nose, the first impression is an arresting floral intensity, especially violets and honeysuckle. The fruit aromas are fresh but with their natural sharpness rounded off. Most prominent are apricot and peach, but intriguing tropical notes such as mango can also be detected. There is plenty of citrus, but the less sour types, such as tangerine and orange, dominate. A light sprinkling of crushed rock helps the tastes and aromas cohere. On the palate, this wine has an unmistakable weight, but though rich and almost syrupy in consistency, it is neither oily in texture nor sweet in flavour. Rather, it maintains a refreshing air of delicate elegance and refinement.
I had to treat this beautiful wine to a nice meal, so I paired it with pan-fried cod fillet, served with herb spiked lemon-butter sauce, earthy mushrooms and crisp broccoli. And far more potato gnocchi than I am prepared to own up to. Yes, it was as good as you suspect. Yes, I would have this again. No, I don’t think I would share, actually.

New world or California style Chardonnay.
While no fault at wine, in fact it’s very well made but it was just not for me.
