P O T S & P A N S 🍳
Clients always ask me: Are pots and pans a good choice? Absolutely! Drawers are considered an upgrade in cabinetry design but I have to say, they are much more functional! So many more ways to store and organize your items - and talk about sturdy dovetail construction 😉
If you plan on getting new kitchen or vanity cabinets, don't shy away from spending a little more to get the most bang for your buck! Function is just as important as aesthetics, the goal is to have the right balance of both ✔
#HappyFriday and stay safe out there guys!❄

And this week’s guest,
I’m going to be designing our cabinets for the new house pretty soon and I’m thinking lots about what I want them to look like and how I want them to function. This is my kitchen from my last house after I redesigned/remodeled (swipe go see scary before pics). Drawers, big drawers are great! The ones on the sides held our glass leftover containers, crock pot, waffle maker, handheld mixer, etc. It was amazing how much I could fit into those drawers! The tall pull outs on the ends were for trash and recycling. When I designed this kitchen, I made sure the sink was on center with the range and the center of the island with pendants was on center with the opening to the dining room and the dining room window. This kind of thing makes my orthogonal heart sing. Another fun detail is the turned legs on the island match the turned pilasters next to the range. These pull out and hold cookie sheets vertically. There’s an invisible finger hole on the under side to pull it out. .
What are your island must haves? If you’ve got an island to share, be sure to use #newbuildfavoritespacesislands . .
Hey friends! I’ve always had this creative itch that hasn’t seem to go away. So, instead of pushing it to the back of my mind, like I have been, Ive decided to do something about it and I created Home & Hems. This is a “just for fun” account where I’ll be posting about two things I enjoy, home decor and fashion. I will share tips and tricks to decorate your home along with easy ways to style outfits! If you have any questions or want to know more about something I post go ahead and leave a comment, I’ll be glad to help in any way I can! Feel free to spread the word to anyone else you think would find inspiration in Home & Hems! Thanks for the support 🖤 Katie
Another Grey Shaker designed kitchen we can proudly call one of ours. We love to see the different ways customers make our designs their own. Send us your pics so we can see yours!
White cabinets and easy ergonomics, a light touch is all you need to open each door and drawer and find everything within ease. The ideal space to create memorable gatherings with family and friends..

I have FINALLY emerged from my bed...and I THINK I am starting to feel better🤧🤧🤧. I'm so over putting my life (and Christmas decorating) on hold for this stupid cold!! I haven't got the complete Holly Jolly going over here yet, but at least I have the tree up and half decorated and a few pops of Christmas sprinkled about (not to mention the tubs of Christmas hiding JUST out of this shot and the totes of pumpkins I don't know what to do with). Who else has a Christmas bomb at there house for a while before the decorating is done???
