Last night we made beer brats with Smoked Apple Sage Brats from @fieldroast and the Belgian Dubbel from @stormcloudbrew . 🍺 I couldn’t get a decent shot of the finished product, but trust me, they were incredible. I highly recommend Field Roast brats even if you aren’t vegetarian - I mean it!
ถุงทองลาบเต้าหู้ Today is the last day of Thailand Vegetarian Food Festival. Celebrate it with these “Golden Bags” made of tofu skin, filled with sauté mushrooms mixed with soft tofu and then season with Thai Larb seasoning ( soy sauce, palm sugar, chili powder, grounded roasted-rice). Served with seasonal vegetables and edible flowers. I’ve added drops of sweet sauce which normally served with spring rolls around the plate but it doesn’t matter if you don’t have this kind of sauce at hands. These “Golden Bags” are good on their own!!!

I keep a short list of places near home that actually give a damn about feeding those of us who have to be #glutenfree . @missiontacokc gets a spot on my list. Skip the chips (made in a shared fryer), ask for tortillas instead with the guacamole. Tacos are spot on!

Cherry Almond Flapjacks
👩🏻🍳 Flapjacks are hard to beat when it comes to healthy pre-workout snacks
These ones are packed with the maximum amount of nuts and seeds you can get in a flapjack!
Making these little snacks a brilliant way to get loads of protein, fibre, unsaturated fats, iron, magnesium and zinc
The combination of oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruit provide sustained energy, so you’ll be able to train harder and keep going longer.
Add whatever dried fruit takes you fancy and you have a super-nutritious flapjack!
From The Vegetarian Athlete’s Cookbook .
75g brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
150g nuts, such as flaked almonds or pecans
150g dried fruit, such as raisins or cherries
Pre heat the oven to 180 C/fan 160 C/Gas 4. Line a 23 cm square baking tin with baking parchment.
Put the butter, sugar and honey in a non-stick saucepan and heat together, stirring from time to time, until the mixture has melted. Remove from the heat.
In a large bowl, mix the oats, cinnamon, nuts and dried fruit. Add the melted mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared tin, level the surface and bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the middle. Leave in the tin to cool. Turn out and cut into 16 squares with a sharp knife.

Personally, I love meesiam. I was ecstatic when I found vegetarian meesiam that wasn't compromised in taste! The flavourful combination of chili, lime juice, zesty gravy and laksa-gravy-soaked taupok, left me satiated and pleased.
