Chicken thighs 2 ways! I know these two chicken dishes look almost exactly the same, but once you taste it, you’ll be surprised at how distinctly different their flavour profiles are. .
On the upper left corner is DAKDORITANG (Dakbokkeumtang). It’s a korean style, spicy chicken stew, where chicken is braised with gochujang, korean pepper flakes, & other aromatics. If you want to try it, #maangchi has a superb recipe of it. On the lower right corner, is a Pinoy staple: CHICKEN AFRITADA, which is also a chicken stew but this time, chicken is braised in tomatoes. So I’ve been craving for this and decided to post it from my last visit at Manila. We stumble upon the yogurt shop called BLK 513 and it seems very popular with their charcoal colored yogurt flavor. We tried it and it was instantly my fav probably not because of the color but the sweet sour flavor it gave + the customized nuts and different types of fruits you can add. Yum 👅
