For some reason I keep thinking about something that happened when I was in hospital and Lyra was 3 days old. I was sharing a room with another woman and her baby, Lyra being all the way on another ward completely. I was finding new motherhood really hard, and I cried A LOT. All there was separating me and this other woman was a curtain. Not super private. Anyway, at one point I overheard this other woman asking for a private room (alluding to the issue being *me*). The next day a midwife came in to tell me they were going to be moving me to a private room. I felt a sense of smugness about this. And also gratitude for being able to cope in my own way in private (and with a TV, obvs). This woman who'd shown exactly zero empathy towards me, who didn't even ask if I was OK having experienced this crazy thing now twice herself, and instead thought only of herself labelling me the problem, all the while having her baby with her while I was separated from mine, got her wish. I was gone. But instead of her getting her own room, I did. 🖕🏻
I don't know why that keeps popping up in my head. Perhaps bc it's one of those few times in life when you feel karma has worked in your favour. But I think perhaps it's just a lesson to be more empathic, and a little bit less selfish. Maybe that person you find irritating is going through more than you know. .
The path to success , the achievement of victory against all odds , triumphing over obstacles we at first deemed insurmountable is rarely a solo journey .
We are unlikely to be doing it just for our own benefit and probably never without the help and loving support of others in our life be they family, friends , community or all of those .
It could be they hail us as a ' hero ' yet , we acknowledge , they all played a part .
We particularly value those friends who , having overcome hardships and setbacks themselves, were able to provide wise advice based on their own past experiences .
Helping us to discern the truth from what is false.
Demonstrating the wisdom of cutting away any unnecessary burdens weighing the situation down.
Friends who would only ever be totally honest with us.
So when we reach our ultimate goal and can relax counting our abundant blessings , happiness , contentment , a safe place to call home surrounded by those we love who , in turn , love us , make sure we remember all who helped us to reach this desired end .
For , in life , all is cyclical and nothing ever remains the same .
Give gratitude , take pleasure in all we have and gladly share it .
Those who helped us may need our help in the future , just as we may have need to call upon their kindness again.
We all have it within us this will and strength to be more than we are .
We are all able to be the helper and the one who , with grace , accepts help from others .
We all have the potential to be heros when 'our'
time comes around .

Happy Monday and a wonderful Week ahead to everyone. Love , light , peace and many blessings to you all as always.
What goes a r o u n d comes back around baby!
When we pass onto our next life, the most precious thing to leave with the people you love is the memories of how you made them f e e l
When we start to focus our attention on the feelings associated with our actions in this life, the universe will thank us straight back
Let karma work with you, not against you ✌🏻
