Ever seen a small armoured vehicle slugging along the forest floor? Wondered what those hard and shiny balls that lie around your feet when you are in nature trails in the forest? If not, then let's introduce you to the Pill millipede (called vaghachi uii in Konkani) also called pillbugs or "roly-polies" who are relatively short-bodied when compared to most other millipedes with only eleven to thirteen body segments, and are capable of rolling into a ball when disturbed, as a defense against predators. They can also exude a noxious liquid, which may be both caustic and toxic, to repel predators. Pill millipedes are detritivorous, feeding on decomposing plant matter, usually in woodlands. #westernghats#wildlifeofgoa#goa#forest#aerogoa#comelearnwithus

Love at first sight... .
I went here for the first time 2 months back and fell in love with this place! Since then, I've been here more than 12 times and have shared it with over 100 people including kids, oldies, newbees, nature lovers and have made some amazing friends and memories. Everytime the experience has been mind-blowing, meaningful and special for me... .
Yesterday night we saw a few green vine snakes, frogs, crabs, a blood red moon and around 15-20 shooting stars from the top, followed by a spectacular sunrise!
We were accompanied by a cute 4-year old this time, the youngest person I've hiked with so far. Out of all the shooting stars we saw, he was the most amazing one!
Valley of shadows: after planning for almost two years finally it happened . Finally I was there in the valley guarded by the proud Sahyadri on both the sides. After travelling almost for 6 hours when we reached there we were so stunned by the beauty of the place that we forgot all the tiredness. It's worth travelling 6 hours and worth walking on those sharp stones, it's worth the craziness of planning at 11:30 in night and leaving home at 5:30 in morning. It's a hidden gem which needs more recognition or mybe it's better in that ways secluded, Serena and peaceful. #sandhanvalley#incredibleindia#thrillophilia#trekking#wanderlust#nomadsoul#trekkersparadise#sahyadri#valleyofshadows#travelblogger#westernghats
