It's hump day- this week feels like a week of just getting through to the end, making it to the weekend. Getting over all the normal weekly hurdles for a couple of days off. Two of the Little Ones haven't been 100% this week as we have picked up our first winter virus and we have been so busy lately. The Christmas break is a long way off and the calendar is full, ugh. Roll on Friday.
🚥Mummy’s Pit Stop🚥
My husband has been gradually going back to work for over a week now so I’m left to fend for myself. With Robyn and Aubrey having trouble feeding, everything seems to take much longer plus there’s two of them so it literally feels like they tag team of them needing to be changed , fed, topped up, winding and cuddles back to sleep. I’m not complaining, I am absolutely in love with these babies and I know the hard times will pass. I just wish feeding was much easier this time around, I hoping Aubrey’s frenotomy will help. I’m trying not to think about ‘what if’ 💔 We will try our hardest to make this work!
Anyway.... The pit stop. I’ve had a similar set up with all my kids over the years, back when Joseph was newborn I had all my postpartum meds in a basket too (can’t do that with them running about now). There’s always various snacks, chocolate, flapjacks, drinks, muslins, breast pads and balms to keep me going. Also a phone charger and tv remote for those rare moments when I’m not staring at the babies 👀. Having everything close by to cut down the time searching for things means more time for what’s important and I actually get to eat and drink during the day
⛽️ Do you have a refuelling station in your home for when you’re stuck under a baby?
As always goodies in the picture are from @babipur
They would make great gifts for new or expecting parents

It seems we have reached the stage where Colby is 100% referred to as a girl now by people who don’t know him. He doesn’t mind, he usually tells people “I’m not a girl, I’m Colby!”. Someone asked me ”is it a boy or a girl” a few weeks ago and his response to that was “I am a human being!” 😆😍
I’m guessing it’s his hair? He wants it “long like Rapunzel”! He does like to wear dresses sometimes so I understand if people get it mixed up when he’s in a dress. When he was wearing one of his dresses recently someone called him “princess”. “Don’t be silly!” he replied “this isn’t my princess dress, it’s my doctor dress” because it was a blue tunic which looks a little like a nurses outfit and I guess to him doctors and nurses are the same 🤷🏻♀️
Whilst I’m happy to let him decide how he wants his hair and what he wants to wear, I do worry about him being bullied or just seen as the “odd one out” as he gets older. We try and teach them that not only are our differences to be accepted, they are to be celebrated as our individuality is what makes people interesting. When we were on holiday recently Jack spotted a man with a particularly interesting moustache and bowler hat. He shouted to Colby “look at that man’s face!”, at this point my eyes went wide wondering what was about to come, but before I could intervene he continued “it’s BRILLIANT!!”. The man was wonderful, he chatted to the boys for ages and it turned out he was also an English man who lived in Germany but was visiting Copenhagen. It was a good opportunity for us to talk again about differences, and also perhaps to be a little more discreet when we notice things 😬
We talk to them about how unfortunately some people think only girls should have long hair, like pink, wear dresses etc, and that they might not understand why they do those things, and try to explain how they could perhaps handle a situation. But I still worry, hence my morning ramblings! Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
Now it’s cooled down a bit, we’ve been trying to explore the city a bit more. On Saturday we decided to walk to what looked like a park on the map only to discover it was in fact the Seoul Museum of History. We didn’t have much time there but Darwin loved the outdoor exhibits, especially the tram. We’ll be going back to explore the inside rooms once it gets a bit colder and we can’t be outside as easily. We also found another gem on the same walk but I’ll put that in a separate post! #seoulmuseumofhistory#seoul#autumn#toddlersofinstagram#welovefrugi#frugi
