Can you spot us ?? We were headed to Falasarna Beach for the day, but ended up driving a bit further around the coast and found a little cove all to ourselves 🙌 Wild goats, natural sea salt, two hole in the rocks and some stunning coastline 💙💙💙 Lots more pics of today in our stories 😁 @kiwi_and_free //
Watching an incredible sunset in Hong Kong 🙏😍☀️ I had never seen such vivid sunsets until I moved to Hong Kong!! 😀 Often the sun will turn a deep pink/red colour just before the sun dips into the horizon - we try to watch it every night, even if it’s just from our apartment balcony ♥️ Thank you @petronellasignhildsdotter for showing us this magical spot!! 🙏🌟
And so the adventure begins...
She starts middle school tomorrow... Middle School. I swear she was just a baby yesterday. I know she will crush it but it doesn’t make it any easier on a momma. .

What a gorgeous Italian sunset 🌅. Thank you @adventureinthesomewhere for tagging #travelmadfam and letting us share this photo.
We are a family of 4 that started our worldwide travel adventure just 5 weeks ago! We are homeschooling and remote working our way around Europe for the next 12 months and then intend to move East towards Bali, Phillippeans, Fiji, New Zealand etc. .
The photo is in Valledoria, Sardinia - specifically San Pietro a mare. The area is fabulous, very underrated. When you google 'things to do in Northern Sardinia' or 'best beaches in Northern Sardinia' nothing for Valledoria really comes up which is crazy - its miles and miles or gorgeous sandy beaches which back on to a wetland nature reserve area. You can kayak, paddle board, windsurf, kite surf you name it. The town itself is nice too and is about half way between the bigger touristy destinations of Santa Teresa and Algerho. You need a car really but nearby there are many gorgeous beaches and other activities like themal baths and horse riding. We are not camping but there are lots of nice campsites too. We’ve found all the beaches in the area to be safe for kids and the area in general very family friendly. We are heading to mainland Italy and will miss Sardinia! .
After all the homeschool stuff we got in the mail, the boys were getting ready to go out and insisted on wearing their dashiki's "Mosi" backpack from @kidsswagco to stuff their books and toys inside📚. When I asked them why they insisted on using this specific backpack and lunch bag, they said "We love it because it has a brown boy like us on it and because it says always number 1 and ready for anything." The little things right.
It's back to school season a.k.a. new backpack & lunch bag eason and even though the boys are homeschooled, a backpack and lunch bag are a must have for when we decide to take our learning out of the house. A backpack that they can relate to, that also has positive affirmations is a double plus in my book. Don't underestimate the power of representation 👦🏾. .
I've teamed with Kids Swag to giveaway one backpack and lunch bag to one lucky kid 👦🏾. .

On the blog today I talk about homeschooling, unschooling, worldschooling, and how we plan to tackle that this school year. I go over the reasons why we chose to homeschool, and why we are going the unschooling route - meaning all learning will be self directed by the kids and we don't plan to use any curriculum whatsoever this school year. However the kids will be building, painting, traveling and learning about every subject's without a curriculum. Basically, more hands on. .
People ask me all the time why I chose to to homeschool. One reason that comes to mind --> simply because my husband & I prefer to be the one's to educate our kids.
Btw, these educational items / toys were purchased with funds from Aiden's homeschool charter @valiantprep.homeschool. They offer $500 in summer funds and $2800 for the school year. We will getting museum passes and science center passes with our fall funds. No curriculum whatsoever. I also share on the blog how we plan to incorporate these toys we got into the kids everyday learning. Link to my blog post in bio.
If you are on the fence about homeschooling or even considering it, feel free to ask me any questions you have below and I'll do my best answer them all.
If you don't have any questions, then answer mine.
1. Have your kids started school yet? What grades are they in📕?
2. Who is homeschooling this year? Say helloooo. I love meeting / brainstorming /chatting with other homeschooling families 😀.
3. Are you unschooling like us? What made you decide to?
What an amazing view! Repost from @mumpacktravel Memories...Dirty and knackered after a big hike up to the Great Wall of China. I found this on an SD card tonight (trying to be somewhat organised) - how did I ever miss it? Almost two years ago Emmie and I joined a small group of people and climbed to a remote and original part of the Great Wall of China at Jiankou - at Emmie’s request after watching Mulan! She was the reason we first visited China and we have returned many times since - discovering more about this amazing country 🍃
We climbed for three hours and then walked/scrambled along the wall until we reached the Jade Watchtower where we set up our tents and toasted marshmallows and learnt all about this incredible Wall. 🌿
I will never forget the atmosphere - it’s a heavy, eerie feeling being up there where so many people died, and where guards stood watching for approaching enemies, ready to light a pile of wolf poo and send smoke signals to the army. I’ve posted all about this and our adventures in China in our blog www.mumpacktravel.com - link in profile!
I didn’t have much time to plan the Mongolia trip, but I knew that with kids long car rides were not an option. I had to find something close enough to the city. Gorkhi-Terelj National Park fit the bill. The only park in Mongolia, that can be reached without a driver and a guide, just an hour and a half from the capital. The park is vast and beautiful (as is all of Mongolian countryside), with hills, forests, mountains and rivers and lots of resorts from five star to cheap and cheery ger (Mongolian yurt) camps.
A big hit with kids were these life size dinasours that were just fifteen minutes from our hotel. They are technically situated on private land, but you can just open the gate and walk in. These life size stone beasts look pretty real and are great for climbing. Nika absolutely loved them. A big bonus was the little wild ferret running around the grass and peaking out at us with his cute face.
Plitvice lakes national park, a must see if you're in Croatia, however, incredibly busy at this time of year. To beat the rush we went after 4pm (for a discounted price) and still had 4 hours to explore. Managed to hike one of the longest trails around the upper and lower lakes and catch the last bus back.
