I can’t believe it’s the middle of September. I love the time after August through September because it’s a time of transition. It’s a time to reflect on everything that’s happened over the last 9 months, what goals did I set at the beginning of the year, how far did I come, what can I improve, how do I move forward on those goals that haven’t moved?
For me, almost half of 2018 was dedicated to completing my Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification, which led me to try and figure out how to start a business. It’s not easy, but I’ve made some positive steps forward and am excited to keep pushing.
One of my goals for the rest of 2018 is to be more open. We all have ups and downs and we tend to share the ups and not the downs. But how good does it feel when you see someone share a struggle and how they are overcoming it?
What is one goal you have in this season if change?
This ma homies is my second attempt at making Vietnamese summer rolls....probs need to get the hang of stuffing them evenly and maybe roll the other way so they are long instead of short and stubby...BUT managed to roll dem rice papers nicely without them breaking. If I need a snack this is my go to. Stuff these bad boys with raw veggies and prawns for a good alternative to sarnies. #holistichealing#glutenfree
This is a Red Maca plant. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It can be used to balance the body's dopamine and serotonin levels, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We use it as a key ingredient in our daily nutraceutical RevitaliX, as it helps to improve one's overall mental wellbeing and mood. 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Do you finish the books you start? Do you follow through with every plan? Do you follow diets to a T? Do you give your all when you workout? I usually don’t 🙋🏼♀️.... but when I do 💥 💥 💥
What would happen if you/we 😉 actually gave something our all?
Invest in you and watch what happens 😎 #selfcare#investinyou
I talk a lot about BIE helping the body to get balanced and becoming normalized to stressors and various intolerances that are causing unwanted symptoms. But what does that all REALLY mean?✨
Let me explain how this works. We’re all familiar with rechargeable batteries and how when placed in a charger, they acquire and store energy. When the battery is fully charged, it’s incapable of storing anymore energy. This is the batteries ‘charge capacity’.✨ ...
Once the battery is removed from the charger, it slowly begins to lose its charge until eventually it is void of all energy. (Still with me?)✨
Cells are congruent to trillions of tiny batteries that comprise the human body. The more exposure we have to a given substance, be it food, electromagnetic fields such as radiations, or environmental stressors, and negative thought processes, the more of that substances’ discordant energy will saturate our cells. (Keep with me!)✨
These discordant energies are referred to as ‘stressors’. When the cells have reached their full capacity or tolerance to a stressor to any given substance, any further charge from the same source is rejected, thus provoking an adverse reaction somewhere within the body by various metabolic processes.✨
Unfortunately, for those of us that are affected by stressors, approximately 95% of stressors fall into the non-immune response category.✨
By recognizing discordant frequencies (aka stressors) within cells, the body is more capable of achieving homeostatic balance. So how do we recognize and balance the body of these stressors? Here’s where BIE comes into play!✨
The BIE method uses a unique tool that acts as a frequency translator which ‘speaks’ to the cells in their own vibrational language. The tool reintroduces the frequency of the stressor (ie foods, pollens) and transmits the frequency of that item back into the body. Once the body has been reintroduced to the stressor energetically, it no longer sees it as an offending substance - bye bye intolerances!✨ ...
Pretty neat- right?! It’s not quite so voo-doo after all!✨
Are you feeling frustrated because it seems to be so difficult to lose weight? You are lacking energy and feeling bloated? Maybe you’re doing all the “right” things but your clothes aren’t loosening and the scale isn’t budging? You are not alone. It can be so disheartening when you’re putting in all the efforts but you’re just not seeing results. Hormone balance starts with your gut and what you eat. Read my 7 practical tips on which foods to limit or avoid in order to reduce inflammation and support healthy hormone production on my latest blog above 👆👆👆 #petralawes#purelypetra#growyourglow#glowdiaries#hormonehealth
💕Despite what you may believe, you can disappoint people and still be good enough. You can make mistakes and still be capable and talented. You can let people down and still be worth while and deserving of love. Everyone has disappointed someone they care about. Everyone messes up, let's people down and makes mistakes. Not because we're inadequate or fundamentally inept, but because we're imperfect and fundamentally human. Expecting anything different is setting yourself up for failure.💕
For @chantecaille 20th anniversary they have released a collection of limited edition blushers highlighting at-risk species. Designs include a coral reef, the wild horse, sea turtles and bees. What a beautiful way to partner beauty and conservation!
Demolished my legs yesterday and it feels soooooo good! Didn’t think I would survive but despite all odds I was able to push through it 😅
Later today I’ll be posting a superset I did right at the beginning and it definitely set me off for success for the rest of the workout 💪🏼 stay tuned!

I’ve always been a runner. I would run from my feelings, my problems, my emotions that I couldn’t make sense of. I ran to foreign countries when I was 18 to try and heal the fucked up relationships with my ex boyfriends. I would drink and try and make them as numb as possible, to wake up and realize they were still there. I would run to forest when I was a little girl to sit on a rock and cry. I would run far & I would run fast.
About 4 years ago I began on my yoga (spiritual?) journey because I had enough running. I was tired. This journey has not been easy. It has peeled back so many layers I NEEDED to shed. I needed healing and I wanted to get rid of these stories I’ve been telling myself forever. They weren’t true. This past week I was tested. This has been the hardest test the universe has ever given me. And somehow I feel oddly OK. I’m trying to make sense of what is going on in this physical time space reality, but maybe I don’t have to. Maybe you don’t have to.
I had a realisation recently that I haven’t quite been showing up on this page. I show up 110% in every other area of my life so why not here? I am a perfectionist. The problem with this is that I get caught being stagnant and not moving forward because things aren’t quite “perfect”, “not quite right”. Can you relate? Well for me it’s time this stopped. Brace yourself! This page is probably going to look like a dogs breakfast as I haven’t got a solid content plan or beautifully curated images to work with, nor do I have the time to prioritise this as the moment. I think it’s important that I connect with you and show you the real me. Life is too short to hold back and wait for the perfect moment- I am not even sure if that exists!
#womenwhoinspiremewednesday shout out goes to my cousin, sister wife and “business partner” @yesmay508. This lady has not only joined me on this wellness lifestyle but has not missed a single step since relocating! You’d have no idea because she continued to go at her own rhythm! .
Relocated, secured a job in less than a month and has made it her mission to LIVE! 💪🏼 I am so excited to share the company of some amazing ladies at Ladies Alive this weekend. 💞
This lady commutes an hour to work and an hour back. Got in late last night but her no excuse mindset got her up at 4am and at the gym before work despite all that! 💪🏼 we seriously don’t really like the word can’t in this tribe! Love you boo!

we often forget about this beautiful and simple tool that is available to us at any given moment. Turning to your breath is a powerful and transformative practice that is always there for you. It reconnects you back to the present moment and back to SELF. Send you body five little love notes now, five deep conscious breaths. Deep inhalation, long exhalation. ahhhh.

happy hump day! had a tough time waking up this morning (not gonna lie) between the rain & the darker mornings 😴 all I wanna do is stay in bed!
But currently craving this 👆🏼super vibrant Buddha bowl for today’s lunch creation 👅 // @hilaryseatwell veg burger + greens + @bienasnacks chickpeas + purple cabbage + cucumbers + roasted sweet potatoes + avocado + pickled onions 💚💚
Happy Wednesday! ☀️
This day of the week often has a reputation of being the mid-week struggle and rather than staying present we focus all our attention on what’s around the corner (the weekend!)
Today we’re staying Wednesday focused and we’re visualizing this wonderful pic from the super talented @positivelypresent ⭐️
What are some of your sunny thoughts? 😌☀️
Schedule 10-20 minutes in your day today to just do nothing. Most of us try to fill every waking minute with something to do and try to be as productive as possible. This hyperactivity mindset can cause fatigue, anxiety, and stress. ⠀
It might seem counterintuitive but sometimes doing nothing for a chunk of time can lead us to be more efficient and effective when we are doing all the things. It can be hard to find time to do nothing though in our busy schedules. So, it's important to schedule this time, put it in your calendar, turn off your phone and just be. You don't have to meditate during this time but if that's part of your practice you can. ⠀
If you take on this challenge let me know how it goes in the comments below 👇🏼

Trying to be waste free, or at least conscious of your waste while travelling is tough, but with the right products it can become very easy! You just have to remember to keep things simple, and if you slip up while you're away and have to buy a bottle of water, it is not the end of the world, and it just reminds you to be better prepared next time. We are not perfect on this plastic free journey, and I don't think anyone is, but we can absolutely try our very best! 🌎
My feelings towards taking supplements shifted while I was pregnant with my son. During pregnancy, we become hyper aware of our bodies and go into full protection mode on everything that enters it. Which is why now I believe so strongly how we treat our bodies while pregnant is the ultimate benchmark on how we should always show our bodies love and respect. Since the choices you make with your diet represent self love, it’s natural your emphasis on nutrient requirements should be top priority as well.
Here is the line up for my daily supplement routine:
Women’s Prenatal - Companies put a lot of diligence into crafting good quality prenatal supplements, because the industry is very competitive and the market potential is HUGE. I take Whole Earth & Sea prenatal for a few reasons. (1) Non-GMO active organic ingredients, (2) MTHF the active form of folate, (3) ingredients like selenium, spirulina, sprouted broccoli that are not found in your average multi. I take two supplements daily with food, as directed.
TerraZyme - This is new in the line up for me. After years of absorption issues and classifying my body as a “supplement graveyard”, I started looking into the benefits of enzymes. To put it simply, the enzymes help my body break down carbs, protein, fat and fiber and convert these nutrients to energy in cells. 2 daily before meals.
Magnesium - I take this religiously at night to help my body relax and reduce any anxious feelings before bed. Magnesium is necessary for amino acid metabolism and energy (ATP) production.
Omega 3 - Another prenatal supplement recommended by every study out there. I take Minami Nutrition superior DHA formula because the fish oil comes from mackerel, sardines and anchovy limiting heavy metal exposure. Omega 3’s support cognitive health and brain function.
B12 - Although I am slowly coming off a vegetarian diet, because I continue to have absorption issues I still take B12 to support energy and the production of red blood cells. .
I also take adaptogen herbs daily, depending on the amount of stress my body/mind/emotions are under. Because of my love for adaptogens, I will create a separate post. ✌🏼
Today I am grateful for...
The sunshine. 🌞 Voice notes from @ellie.ashman. 🌻 Coffee catch ups with @carlathomas_juicymovement. 🙏🏼 New opportunities. 💃🏼 A flexi work life. 🙌🏻 This moment at the Sample Your Wellness event that @bareandwilde and I hosted. ❤️ New friendships. 👯♀️ Tonight’s sunset. 🌓
Discovering an attitude of gratitude has been a real game changer for me. It’s easy enough to fool yourself into thinking that you are grateful, but to really feel it and practice on a daily basis is another thing and it WILL change your life. 🙏🏼
It’s your last chance to download my free 30-day gratitude challenge from my website (because I’ve got something new coming soon). 🤗 So if you want to challenge yourself, head to my website, enter your email and you’ll receive the free PDF.
