Windchimes provide a soothing sense of harmony and tranquility, creating a sacred and spiritual sanctuary in your home and garden.Their healing sounds can release emotional blockages creating balance, harmony and well-being. They uplift the spirit, restore vitality and stimulate inspiration and even creativity.
From an energy perspective, windchimes are extremely protective as they ward off unwanted visitors, and all types of negative energy.
Arrived last night after a lovely holiday and a good break. Back to work next week and back to my normal routine. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and the rest of your evening. I used to suffer from what I can only describe as the dreaded "Sunday-itis”
Definition of Sunday-itis: That pre-Monday feeling of anxiety, worry and/or unease, that usually kicks in on Sunday afternoon/evening. A sense of restlessness at the thought of a new week looming...
To be honest I still have the odd case of Sunday-itis, but far less so these days, than before, and that's down to a gradual change in the way I think about things
I used to put a lot of my time and energy into "tomorrow"
Tomorrow... I must get down the gym
Tomorrow... I need to sort out my diet
Tomorrow... I am going to start this
Tomorrow... I am going to do that
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with creating a little plan of action for tomorrow, or the week ahead. But it's super easy to pin everything on "tomorrow"
It might sound corny but we really only have NOW available to us and if you keep living in the future (or past) you forget to live fully now
I talk a lot about chipping away with healthy changes and "small wins" 🥇 but the best way to do that, is to actually make a small change NOW
As I always say "something is better than nothing"
Don't wait until tomorrow because tomorrow comes with no guarantees
A lot of people ask me how to get started with their health and fitness goals
The answer is start small and
You get the ball rolling by taking little steps in the right direction, towards your goal
Each small step creates momentum and that's what will carry you forward, helping you pick up more and more motivation along the way
So... what can you do NOW (tonight)?
Here are a few ideas:
👉🏼 get to bed a little earlier this eve
👉🏼 eat a little less
👉🏼 reach for a glass of water
👉🏼 spend some time away from social media
Literally, take one small manageable step in the direction of your goals
Your future self will thank you for it 😉

I automatically went to start this post with ‘I’m sorry’, I was going to apologise for my sadness, for the pain I am in & my lack of productivity the last few days but that’s exactly why I do what I do, so we don’t have to apologise for feeling the way we do, illness is not our fault, whether that’s physical or mental 😌 this afternoon I really really needed to be up my favourite mountain but unfortunately my aches & pains are still lingering, I can’t pretend this is easy for me but I do appreciate what I can do, a short walk by the river wasn’t what I had hoped for but it was lovely to see Archie play 🐾 I have a busy couple of days ahead which may be difficult 👀 how do you prepare for busy days? Two years ago I started a weight loss journey ( before and after picture - bottom left ) on which I lost 5.5 stone. And What a journey it was!! Not only did I go through several 'new' wardrobes, but I also gained self esteem , confidence and a whole new life. A life that didn't revolve around me being a hermit and making excuses not to socialise so I didn't have to be seen in public or remove myself from in front of the tv at night . Just one achievement was ending up on the stage dancing in musical theatre productions.... a hobby I'm desperate to persue and continue more . Number 1 reason for the weight loss .... a baby! Having Poly cystic ovaries meant that conceiving was harder, luckily for me not impossible but harder all the same . Until I was healthy, I couldn't rely on the help of doctors , I had to help myself first . I blogged my way through that journey and it helped . And now I am pregnant ! Yay!!! And it's all too easy for me to let loose for 9 months and pile the weight back on whilst ' eating for two ' .... which I'm not prepared to do . And this is where this blog comes in .... Instagram has helped with one journey and I have every faith it will help me through this journey of pregnancy and getting back into shape post baby ❤

Do you feel stuck in a Mum-style rut?! Break out with this #mumstylechallenge ⠀
It is all to easy post-👶 to dress for comfort and practicality (err, covered in sick/snot/other unmentionables?!!) but you can start to lose touch with your identity. Compounded by tiredness 😴, change of budget, lifestyle and body shape, you can begin to lack the confidence to try new things. In turn, this can affect your self-esteem. ⠀
You want to get out of the rut, but so often that mum-guilt raises its ugly head...guilt about spending time and money on yourself. ⠀
It is not only ok, but necessary to invest in clothing that helps you express yourself and look like the person you are on the inside. It’s a form of self-care, and feeling good has implications on the rest of your wellbeing - how happy you feel, your confidence - and in turn you are a happier Mum, wife, woman and employee. ⠀

Lunch! Well after a lovely walk in the park and then some yoga in the shade with @lynds3yann we ventured over to Prestwich to try @presjuice I went for the gluten free pancakes and they were fab! We will def be back to try out the other delights on the menu. Such a great few hours avoiding the football! All about wellness for the body and the soul! There is little with which time spent with those you love can't make better!
