The photo on the left was NYE 2017.  Hot off a trip to Mexico 🇲🇽, and even though I was doing OTF for  2️⃣ months by this time, the holidays plus vacation derailed any forward momentum I had.  I changed my diet in 2018 to support my efforts 💪 and with the discipline that comes from Keto 🥩 , it catapulted me to success.  Fast forward and I’m almost a year in from this lifestyle change, and while I’ve recently gone into a macro nutrient focused nutrition plan 🥖 to support my fitness goals 💧, I’m proof that anything is possible with discipline and focus.  I swear I researched Keto for 2 years before going through with it, and I wish I would have started sooner!  I also researched OTF for about the same, but never pulled the trigger.  I’m happy with where I am today but imagine where I’d be if I only started when I “thought” of it initially!  Hope this inspires you to start something great!  The only thing stopping 🛑 you is YOU ‼️

The 5 second rule is all about taking ACTION towards your goal before your brain has time to talk you out of it.⠀

Because the thing is - is that no matter what your goal is - i.e. to lose weight, run a marathon get your degree - you can go on google, look up the steps and figure it out right?⠀

The steps are SIMPLE.⠀

The ACTION and execution of the goal is what is difficult.⠀

The execution is difficult because our brain LOVES routine - routine is easy and comfortable. Routine means safety.⠀

The unknown is what is scary.⠀

And when things are scary we will literally try to do EVERYTHING to keep us from doing the actions REQUIRED to reach our goal.⠀

Self sabotage comes in the form of resistance and procrastination - anything that you are doing to keep you from the actual EXECUTION.⠀
⠀
You know what they say “whatever you resist persists” - the more you AVOID the things you know you need to do to reach your goal - the worse you are going to feel. ⠀

Why?⠀
⠀
Because you are ignoring the desires and goals you have in your heart.⠀
⠀
As a coach - I have not only been able to witness countless people change their BODIES and LIVES - I have also done this for myself.⠀

🔹I used to be overweight & uncomfortable in my body … then I reached my goal.⠀
🔹I used to not have a menstrual cycle because I trained too hard… then I got healthy.⠀

Happy Anniversary to me 😊 I cant believe that it has been a year since I hit my WW goal!  Dec 13 will always be a special day to me because for the first time in my many weight loss journeys, I had a goal and I actually achieved it!  Now I can proudly say that I have maintained it! It hasn’t always been easy, I’ve had struggles, ups and downs emotionally and on the scale, but ask me if all the hard work is worth it - HELL YA! Omelette made with 2 eggs, red onion, mushroom, garlic, cherry tomatoes and a splash of skimmed milk -  cooked, folded and the. topped with homemade pizza sauce, 30g reduced fat cheese (2SP) and a slice of reduced fat salami (1SP) and grilled to melt - 3SP/375kcals total 🍕🍳🥗 This was absolutely delicious and I’d thoroughly recommend it! So filling too! 😍

And when I’m tired I over eat empty calories in the form of chocolate & cake etc. Or has the fact that I’ve over-indulged in sugar effected me & my sleep negatively that it’s the sugar which has left me tired 🤷‍♀️ What I do know is that I’ve slightly neglected ‘cooking’ in favour of working out & just quickly grabbing one of a handful of quick meals after my workout. There's something wrong with my head! 3 weeks ago, I missed working out wouldn't have even made it to my brain to come out my mouth. But I missed it! It's not just to get my body in shape, it sets my mind right. Had I not had these workouts the last 3 weeks I probably would be insane. During my busiest time of year I have shown up 85% of the time to complete my workouts. Don't let the lazy, weak part of your brain convince you not to do your workout. I definitely needed a day of rest but totally could of made it after the baby was asleep last night but I let that lazy weak part override the strong, motivated part of my brain. Never again.

Do you know that cabbage is an excellent choice if you are thinking weights loss? You can never go wrong with this vegetable as they are low in calories and packed with powerful nutrients. I personally prefer this purple cabbage also known as red cabbage because it has more nutrients than the green counterpart but they are both good. It is very high in vitamin c more than orange, high In vitamin A and k also. It has anti inflammatory properties making this veggie hard to resist. :

Train to get stronger on bench press, deadlifts, squats, and other heavy compound movements to maximize the effect of Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), or the "afterburn effect".

The best technique that I have found that burns fat as fast as humanly possible is doing a minute of cardio before resting, or even instead of resting. Keep in mind that you should increase the INTENSITY of the cardio with time, not the duration.
