I got some great messages while doing the commentary for the IPF World Championships and I'd like to say I sincerely appreciate it. I read everyone, and responded. Some came just when I needed them. It's not easy doing two weeks, every day, hours upon hours, all live on air. What makes the job easier is having the best lifters in the World giving amazing performances. Then add a top notch TV team to work with, and an amazing partner commentator (@williams_powerlifting) and several guess commentators who brought it (@keantomcanada.ironbodyworks, @stefironbodyworks, @ricks.david, @lsmcclain, @goldsmithmatt, @joe_tsa) and the job is a blast. Even while in the middle of grinding, I never took it for granted, and knew I was lucky and blessed to be in the position to do this. -

Multivitamins are important for anyone who trains, because the vitamins and minerals they contain are critical for a multitude of functions in the body, from energy production to muscle growth! However many of the multivitamins on the market aren't worth taking because they don't work as well as they should. Here are the big 3 things you should focus on when choosing a multivitamin .
1. Conflict of interest : most multivitamins contain to many vitamins and mineral. You don't want calcium in your multivitamin because it interferes with the absorption of zinc, iron& manganese. Zinc can lower the body's ability to uptake amino acids & iron. Magnesium is also a no go in multivitamins, magnesium can interfere with the body's ability to absorb calcium from the foods you eat.
2. Containing Key Vitamins: Vitamin K which is important for stopping uncontrolled bleeding, Iodine for thyroid hormone production and Copper for Red blood cell formation , and B vitamins for Blood/nervous system health along with digestion.
3. Proper Form: Certain vitamins and minerals you want in correct forms. Chromium often comes in Chromium Chloride which absorbs poorly, go for Chromium Picolinate. Vitamin A should be in the form of Beta-Carotene , pure vitamin A can be very toxic. Vitamin K should have K1&K2.
Lol it is funny how life works. Hard work truly pays off if you are willing to put in the time and effort. As much as i didn’t want to admit it my heaviest was 192 last year at July 4th 2017. Now i am down to 157 and still working on myself, but now i am happy and content with who i am and know where i want to be. I started with @thecamptcmonrovia in a February and it was the best thing i could have done for myself. I am so happy that i had my mom doing it along side with me , being a constant support system on the days that i didn’t want to go and on the day i just wanted to go by my self a pint of ice cream and eat it all in one sitting.
