Anxiety has hit me hard today and even the smallest things can be like a mountain to some. Noticing the little things in every day and writing down the positives is a technique to combat anxiety. But for right now I’m going to tidy my room and play some ABBA 🎤🌈💕

100 DAYS OF WALKING
I started #100DaysOfWalking in May and here I am today! I got this idea from my sister @rhythmagupta . The minute I saw her Instagram story, I told her I’m going to do this too.
Although the picture speaks for itself, I want to give an idea of how I went about this transformation. I’m still not at my dream figure yet but I’m happy I put in the last 100 days to reach here and I will continue doing so to lose a few more kilograms.
Firstly, I had no motivation. The “before” picture is of a photo shoot from April. Thus, the makeup- no makeup difference in the two pictures :P
Anyway, even though I looked like a potato, there was no motivation to turn into a French fry. The teasing from peers didn’t work, nor did the concern of my parents. I knew I want to lose weight, I just wasn’t getting how. That’s when I decided to buy a smart tracker watch. Honestly, I wasn’t preparing to be an athlete so I wanted to be tight on the budget. I started looking for options on @amazondotin , @flipkart etc.
I found Fast Track Reflex Watch by @fastrackworld , liked its features and it was very well in budget; just close to 2,000 INR. And no, that is not expensive because the watch comes with the manufacturer warranty of a year. To break it down further, if I consider that I only used it for the past 100 days, it still comes down to only 20 INR a day. If many of us we can spend 200 INR on an average daily for risking our health by eating junk food, we can certainly spend 20 INR a day on our health.
While it has many features, to only know how many steps I have walked daily and how many extra calories I have burnt was a great motivator. My target was 15000 steps a day. It included working out, walking down to my class, going to the market for groceries or wherever else I got a chance to walk.
My second barrier was the monsoon. A little research on YouTube and I found Leslie Sansone’s @walkathome videos. Problem solved!

Ever had those moments when you feel "starving"? I have! 🙋♀️
You feel ravenous. Like you could literally scoff down a horse!
It happens when I don't plan my food for the day.
You see, I don't buy food out- unless it is planned (in my mind) and with intention. So that means if I don't pack something, and it's past my meal time... I. AM. STARVING.
Not a good place to be. 🙅♀️ When I feel "starving" I have waited too long too eat and that means I am highly likely to eat more than I would have, should I have eaten when I recognised my original hunger cues.
And this is why it is so important to get the timing of your meals right. Not perfect, by right.
Feeling hungry is an EXCELLENT thing. ✅✅✅ It means we are tuning in to our bodies internal and natural hunger cues. Even waiting 30 minutes after you feel hungry is OK too, I like to do this personally so I am sure my body is really hungry and wants nourishment. But wait too long- and that can be a costly mistake!😫 When you wait and feel too hungry - you eat more. When you wait a little but not too much and pack or plan, your food- then you feel pretty bloody amazing actually! Not too full✅✅✅ but satisfied! Which is EXACTLY where you want to be. 💃
So my tip = tune in to your bodies natural hunger & satiety cues. Really listen. Then wait, but not too long! Just enough to really enjoy your food, feel satisfied but not stuffed and not hungry. 👌
Meal timing is a really important part of weight loss and weight management. So get tuned in asap- Your body will thank you for it!
