"Today I needed a reminder on how far I've come. I've been having little pity parties lately like "I should have tried harder and been more consistent" or "You failed because you aren't at your goals yet" when in reality I know none of this is true. The only truth behind these statements is how difficult this journey can be: physically, mentally, and emotionally. I've been in a calorie deficit for almost a year now and it's time to give both my body and mind a break. The challenge to this is that I'll be working against the goals I've been working so hard towards these past 2.5 years. I also have had this "magic number" in mind on what my "healthy weight" is and it's time to get that number out of my head 🙅🏼 because I don't know what my healthiest weight is in numerical sense when so many factors (beyond the scale) contribute to total health. My course of action can be:
-Stay at this unsustainable intake (not ideal)
-Stop tracking altogether which sets me up for a potentially massive rebound (also not ideal)
-Or start a reverse diet (something I've been mentally preparing for awhile now) which is most ideal because it 1. Is necessary to reboot my metabolism and will help reduce cravings for what my body is needing 2. Improve strength, energy levels, and make socializing easier/ more enjoyable 3. Is a controlled manner to work my body back up to maintenance 4. Train for goals other than fat loss 5. More food 🙌🏼
-Our bodies are not meant to be in a deficit for extended periods of time and I've reached that point. Honestly knowing I'll be putting some weight back on does stress me out a little bit but I also know I'm excited for more food 😂 and that food is fuel! So one more week of a deficit and time to focus on other gainzzz like strength, energy, and fitness performance 👊🏼 Changing your body composition is not easy and is a very long process (to do it in a healthy and sustainable manner). So yes this will initially be mentally challenging for me, but I also know to have patience and trust the process 🌱✨💕"

Lately, we've been attacking Intermittent Fasting on my IG feed, saying that it's not a diet that will help you lose fat.

To tell you the truth, no "diet" will work to lose fat unless you're in a Caloric deficit. But it goes both ways (to a point). Any diet will help you lose WEIGHT if you're in a caloric deficit, including keto, intermittent fasting, paleo, etc.

With that being said, I personally use Intermittent Fasting. It's a tool. I like it while dieting because it allows me to eat larger more satisfying meals, and because when I'm fasting, it's easier to avoid eating unhealthy or high calorie foods because I'm simply "not eating, bro". On top of this, after 2 weeks of fasting, your body seems to suppress hunger, so you don't feel as much hunger as you would on another diet where you're eating more frequently.

But there are definitely some cons. While fasting, your breath will probably stink, and you'll just feel cold and will sometimes shiver like a white-walker (even if you're sitting out in the sun). Don't even try to tell people you're fasting, because "breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" If you're doing a full day fast, you might get hangry near the end of it, which isn't good for the people around you.

Palm oil rice! Never made it, but I'm going to try it. Palm oil just adds this extra flavour, I use it for my noodles, you should try it! You we be "stucked" on it I promise you. Only note of caution is to use a little amount. I do 5mls per 1/3 cup of raw rice. So if I'm cooking 2 cups of raw rice that'll be 60mls of oil. Who else is enjoying this glorious weather 😍😍

Before we jump into the list, I just want to point out that these are the mistakes ladies make when trying to lose fat and “tone”. Obviously, there’s nothing bad in doing excessive cardio if you’re for instance long distance runner, but for the purposes most ladies follow my page not so much. 👇

1⃣ Doing excessive amount of cardio – I see so many ladies prioritizing cardio over diet and lifting weights. This is wrong approach and the truth is that cardio DOESN’T directly burn fat, it only helps you burn a little bit of extra calories which could help in creating a calorie deficit. So, you shouldn’t overdo it nor you should prioritize it.

2⃣ Isolation movements – Second thing is focusing only on the exercises that involve one joint and one muscle group. Instead, focus on the compound lifts, and include a little bit of isolation exercises.
⠀⠀
3⃣ Restriction – Okay this one is super common, almost every woman I talk to says she’s only eating clean food and consuming ~1000 calories a day. This may give you short-term results but it’s not sustainable and it won’t work in the long run. You’ll find yourself binging frequently. Also, there’s a high possibility of losing a good percentage of the muscle mass due to huge deficit.

4⃣ Lifting loads that are not challenging – this one is like the second one, as I said you need to focus on progressing in the exercises and actually make it challenging. That's how you “tone up “

5⃣ Trying to spot reduce fat – Sorry, just not possible. Focus on lowering your total body fat %

6⃣ Lastly, get a plan that supports your preferences and schedule. You need a CLEAR ACTIONABLE PLAN that will get you to your goals.

Per questa ricetta ho unito 2 dei miei prodotti del cuore di questo periodo:
🌾 La farina a basso indice glicemico e alto contenuto di fibre @fiberpasta  e lo
🥛 Yogurtello al pistacchio della @kefir.it 
Ma ecco la ricetta:
2 uova
250 ml di acqua 
50 ml di olio di semi 
3 cucchiai di tortelli al pistacchio
40 gr. di farina di cocco
180 gr. di farina fiber pasta
un pizzico di bicarbonato 
uno scpruzzetto di aceto di mele

I've never been so small in my life, I've never worn a single digit size; In fact, a size 14 was the smallest I have ever known myself to be. I literally walked into Marshalls the other day still wearing my size 14 shorts, and I walked out with size 9 shorts and medium shirts.

To say the least, this journey has been surreal.
Is it easy? No.
Is it worth it? Yes.
The girl on the left never thought she could feel like the girl on the right; yet here I am, feeling so incredibly confident and strong. I'm pushing myself everyday to reach new potential. I know there is absolutely no limit to what I can achieve. 😎
