Of the many things I’ve learned from #weightwatchers is that it’s ok to begin again ..... Last year I finished #c25k and was several weeks into #c210k and was ready to sign up for my first 5 k .... Then the holidays happened ... work stress happened .... life and other stressors happened and not only did I not make time to #worktheplan with my weight loss as consistently, but I also let go of my consistency with running 🏃‍♀️ I was feeling so depressed and disappointed 😔 in myself and then I remembered all of the amazing things I try to do for myself and others every day ..... and I decided to ease up and just start over ..... this time with the confidence that #icandothis ! So today was day one of running 🏃‍♀️ again ..... 6 months ago my hair dresser was talking about a coworker who was doing well on Weight Watchers. Sitting in that chair (after having months and months and months of weight loss conversations) something just CLICKED!! I went home and thought about that conversation all night, the next day I signed up for WW. I was doubtful (will it work) I was terrified (will I fail AGAIN) but I was EXCITED!!! So much has changed in just 6 months!! I have lost 54.6 lbs. and that in itself is amazing!! BUT I have gained so much more!! I am so very thankful to @weightwatchers for giving me the tools to be successful for life! I’m extremely thankful to this IG community! My followers who have offered likes, comments, advice, and cheers!! Those I follow, for being such an incredible source of inspiration, for meal ideas, recipes, transformation pics, sharing the highs and lows and just being REAL! For showing that we are all in this together no matter what plan we follow. The hot new superfood -- also known as the drumstick tree, horseradish (yup, the stuff you have on that holiday ham or prime rib!), or ben oil tree.  Eaten in small doses (1/2 tsp a day!) this can boost your morning smoothie. .

New blooms in the front yard!  I forgot what these are called but my mom planted them during her last visit.  Anyone know?? Very cute!

I had a nice time at a party last night.  Actually, the party wasnt alI that but it was good spending a little time with friends.  I wore a dress last night that I hadnt been able to fit in years- which is always a good feeling.  Actually, I have a whole new wardrobe of previously too-small dresses that Im back in again.  Some are a wee bit dated, but who cares?  Its been about 3-4 years since I've been this size.  I still have about 15 lbs I want to lose but I am taking my time.  Now I have the confidence that I can do it- and I have made huge progress in retraining my brain.  There is no need to rush or take more extreme steps to lose faster. .

 Any food/health-related change I intend to be permanently sustainable... with the exception of alcohol- I'll probably reintroduce that around NYE.  Im a fairly light drinker anyway... so hopefully that doesnt throw things off too much.

I’m a cerial girl, I could eat it for all my 3 meals, so this has been an adjustment. For breakfast day I ate 1 slice of Ezekiel bread with peanut butter ( I prefer almond but ran out)! A protein drink & a bowl of fresh fruit.. it was actually all good !!!

Its possible to lose weight and not have bad bat wings. I do have loose skin but it's not too bad. I lost weight slowly and I weight train. I achieved these results with a modest calorie deficit and an awful lot of bicep curls and tricep exercises lol. If you want to actually change the shape of your body you need to lift weights. Point blank. No lies. 💪💪💪💪💪Give it a try, you may even like it 😉

Throwback 20 years where I was 250lbs, maybe more, to today where I weighed in at 154.8lbs. I have been battling my weight most of my life. It has been so draining. Those that have been battling obesity for a long time know exactly what I mean. Its draining. I have lost weight many times but this is the FIRST time I'm doing it right. I'm losing weight slowly, I'm not aggressively restricting calories and I'm eating a good amount of carbs. I know everyone wants the weight off fast but that's usually done in an unsustainable way there by leading to yo yo dieting. Its a never ending cycle. Please do some research. Learn from your mistakes. You will thank yourself for it. Oh and before I forget, weight training has been a huge part of my success. The more muscle I build the more calories I burn the more I can eat ;)

Many of us gals have forgotten what true hunger feels like, and instead, we eat out of habit, boredom or sadness.

When you ask yourself the question, "Am I hungry? Like for real for real?" Become aware and focus in on what you’re experiencing. Here are a few different ways hunger can manifest itself.

{VISUAL HUNGER} We all have a natural desire to look at food. Seeing crave-worthy food can make us want to eat. Think of the last pizza commercial you saw on TV. This is the exact reason why I DON'T watch the Food Network! It makes me wanna eat.
.
{NOSE HUNGER} Our sense of smell is linked with taste. Smelling cookies in the oven or rotisserie chicken in the store can trigger this type of hunger.
.
{EAR HUNGER} The sounds of meal preparation (like bacon sizzling in a frying pan) can literally make your mouth water.
.
{MOUTH HUNGER}. Food tastes good, sometimes we crave that sensation whether we actually need food or not. Think when someone mentions going to your fave restaurant.
.
{CELLULAR HUNGER}. When your body needs particular nutrients, you may feel physical manifestations similar to those you experience when you need food, like headaches, fatigue, or irritability.
.
{MINDLESS HUNGER}. This is when we eat out of habit or are distracted and eat on autopilot: using our phones, or watching TV, or at our desk.
.
{EMOTIONAL HUNGER}. We may associate certain foods with treats from our past or think of them as feel-good relief from unpleasantness. Think of your auntie's fried chicken or your mom's banana pudding. We may have unmet emotional needs and turn to food for comfort.

{STOMACH HUNGER}. When your stomach rumbles, it COULD mean it's empty, but growls can occur at any time on an empty or full stomach. The rumbling is from muscular activity in the stomach and intestines and from gas moving around; not b/c you need to eat.

4000 steps a day may not be a lot to most people but I tend to average between 2,500 and 3,000.  So hitting my goal this early in the morning is an amazing feeling!  I am loving the fact that my new gym is literally a minute down the road from work and only six minutes from my house.  I really pushed myself today, and I know I'll be feeling it later, but right now I am on super excited for the day!

Then, despite some pretty disappointing news, I stayed within my calorie goal for the day.  These may be tiny victories...but they count. Transformation tuesday!! These photos are 16 months apart and approx 54lbs apart. Its been 16 months of consistent effort and love for myself. What it hasn't been is aggressive calorie restriction or carb restriction or working out 7 days a week.  I needed an approach that would be life long. No one can calorie restrict aggressively their whole lives. Most people can't carb restrict their whole lives. Most people can't workout 7 days a week their whole lives.  I feel such a balance with what I'm doing. Maybe for the  first time in my life I have done this right

Some days you just need to look back to where you started.  Truth is, I wasn’t always fat! I wore a size 3-5 in my early 20s, I was in the Army and never really even imagined I COULD get so BIG! I’m so proud of my progress but a lot of times when I feel my body even when I look at it in the mirror I still see the girl on the left... there are a lot of emotions that you live with when you’re un happy with something.....Disappointment, disgust , fear, even sadness.
