As a qualified Running Coach and experienced runner, I know too well the strain of Winter training. It takes sheer stamina to even leave the comfort and warmth of the indoors on a bitterly cold morning! But at the same time I have achieved some of my best training runs when I’ve been battling single-digit temperatures and I honestly believe that Winter training in London takes you on some beautiful, scenic runs along the river and in our glorious parks.
If you have been lucky enough to secure a place in the Virgin London Marathon next year, or are starting your training for any other Spring Marathon and need some motivation, then do get in touch! I have trained beginners through to experienced Marathon runners and Triathletes, and can provide training plans according to your goals. Week 3 Day 4 & Another early morning workout bites the dust.
The sweat was R E A L this morning like absolutely drenched from my hair to puddles on the floor 💦. My trainer does NOT mess around with strength tabata.
I was challenged this morning even though this is the third time I’ve done this workout and it is the most rewarding feeling when I finished aka that “I survived feeling” 😂.
I hope you go out and do something that challenges you today or gets you out of your comfort zone because the benefits are so worth it!
Well today was not actually leg day, but the gym was super busy (and ironically @lightning_blonde_ the treadmills were full) tonight so I had to think on my feet.
I am not going to lie, when the gym gets busy, it throws me off and I do have a shorter workout - this is also because I get to the gym late, and I am usually starving... As the last photo illustrates, I was so done 😂

I'm not always motivated, there are times the negative committee in my head is super loud and it may take me all day ...
But I usually get it done.
I'm determined, I'm focused, I'm persistent, I keep going forward, chasing what it is that I want...ok, you can say I'm kinda stubborn at times.
Let's just say I've been "there" and have no intentions of ever going back... It's definitely a tough road with a heck of a lot of obstacles but, I'm not backing down anytime soon.
Life is much more brighter, I'm happier, STRONGER, healthier and I'm just gonna continue in that direction.
My path may have to change directions a few times but that's the spice in life, I'm still chasing the same goal.
Music! Music is my power. Hook that up to me and I can just about do anything. Tonight I finally got myself going, no pre-work needed, just #music I started and kept going until I was exhausted, sweating bullets and my hands were shaking!
Did things differently tonight. Did some #trx some #ladderdrills then added another exercise to my #pilatesprochair -- sideways push-up. Whole body exercise, it challenges the #core you hold a plank the whole time while using your arms.. ouch. Still amazed how hard these exercises are. Takes strength, control and focus..nothing fast yet absolutely makes you fight for it.
I'm glad I pushed myself, really who else was going to? 😁
