Ha! In your face lethargy! 👊
Late afternoon at work I had an serious attack of the "I'm tired... do I really need to run... can't I just slob on the sofa and eat chips..." 😴
Luckily I was rescued again by Sergeant Major Mel who gave me a right royal kick up the arse and demand we went home, got changed, and run a 3 miler! No arguing! 😳
The thing is after I'd stopped faffing, laced up, locked GPS, fired up iPod slipped on my backpack and hit the pavements I felt bloody awesome and ran a damn good 3.5 miles! The only thing is because of the faffing by the time I reached the DLC it was dark! 😂
After a Watt Bike sesh and Core Blimey I felt a little victorious in not caving in and sacking off Monday training completely! 😊💪✊
Feel Good Inc Brings You Run Happy (and Monday Motivation wins... well Sergeant Major Mel does... bit scared of her actually! 😂) 😉
Percorrer 42k em Buenos Aires me
mostrou como buscar vencer cada
obstáculo que surge pelo caminho.
Foi doído, mas foi lindo demais!😊
Agora #temtreino 🏃🏼♀️
Por toda vida🙌🏻🙏🏻
Feliz dia por aí 🤗
I've been debating whether to post this for a while, but I'm on holiday so have the time to think and write what I want to accompany it.
Yes, there is a physical transformation between the two pictures. However, I clearly wasn't unhappy in the picture on the left but I do remember looking at it at the time and thinking that I wasn't sure I looked healthy.
I also wanted to show that it's not an overnight or one-off change. During the past 5.5 years, I have had good days and bad days. Periods where I have had to work really hard and physical activity and healthy eating have gone out the window...mornings where I have had to really drag myself out of bed for a run, questioning my life choices (c. @west_agram).
Success is making small continuous improvement every day, seeing the bigger picture, the long-term goal over the short-term gratification.
The picture on the left made me take a long hard look at myself and make some positive life choices that have ultimately made me a healthier, stronger, more successful person. For that I will always be grateful.
Recovery Bike 🚴🏻♂️
My legs are still feeling it from Sunday’s race so it’s a 15 minute stint on the @wattbike followed by some foam rolling and stretching early this morning 👀🙌🏻
What am I running from?? In running from the ghost from the Mizpah Hotel!! Haha.
I stayed here one night and didn't see any ghost😳😳😱😱, but I heard many ghost stories. This hotel is rated the #1 most haunted hotel in the country!!👻👻👻
This was actually a nice hotel. They upgraded things like room keys and added Wifi. But they kept the look and many of the original features.
Hope y'all are having a great Monday!!
It was awesome to get the chance to run through the Enchantments in the weekend. We did most of it last year but this year we organised a group run and ran from the Colchuck trail head to the Snow lake trail head. It was beautiful to explore the whole area. I took a similar picture to this last year so if you scroll back you will be able to see the difference in conditions.
As always I'm grateful to able to get out and explore areas like this, knowing that many do not have the chance to do so✌️
Thanks to @celia.run, @jessycawley, @t.jibs, Liz and Danny for sharing this run with me!

R: 2018 STWM 5k medal
Before yesterday it had been 4 years since I last ran the STWM 5k. So much has changed since 2014, but one constant has always been running. Hoping to add the other distances to this collection one day! ❤️🏃🏻♀️ #stwm#stwm2018#5k#torontorunstogether#medalmonday
Marathon d'Amsterdam 🇳🇱
