Who else is going a little stir crazy with this weather? 🙋🏼♀️ When we can’t get outside, I often find myself scrambling to come up with stimulating activities for the girls inside. It’s always good to have some in your back pocket. 💦One of my favourite indoor play ideas is this DIY water “table”. 💦 This water play activity is not only fun, but it gives many opportunities to develop fine and gross motor skills (think hand-eye coordination). Plus, it’s a great way to help get your babe more comfortable around the water AND to sneak in a little tummy time. Here’s how to do it yourself: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor. 2. Grab a large, clean cookie sheet and place it on the towel. 3. Add enough warm water (not too hot) to cover the bottom of the cookie sheet. 4. Add baby- and water-safe items to the water - favourite bath toys, utensils, cups, etc. 5. Place your babe on their tummy, with arms in the water (so edge of cookie sheet is at their armpits). 6. Have fun watching them splash in the water. [Remember to NEVER leave them unattended!] ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👁🗨What are some of your favourite DIY indoor activities? I’d love to hear!
