Our Lima beans are growing!!! Such a fun and easy process! We noticed the beans in the jar with the damp paper towel are growing faster than the ones in the ziplock bags. Keep an eye on our insta story highlight to see how these little guys are progressing 🌱
I would have never guessed that growing a garden would bring our family so much joy. Together we planted, weeded, watered, plucked and ate our harvest. I have made countless beet and carrot muffins, potato hashes, and fresh salads. Otis has eaten his weight in carrots and green beans daily (pre garden he would barely touch veggies). And @thermafian has enjoyed engineering the whole thing. There truly is something magical about feeling the sun on your skin, getting dirt under your nails and watching plants grow. 👩🏻🌾👨🏻🌾
Today was AMAZING!! I’m truly blessed to have the opportunity to be in the same room and hear these Women pour into us today! If you were not at a Ladies Alive event anywhere in the U.S. today you need to get to one next week or the next! It will be the best decision you will make for yourself and for your business 💜 #plantseeds#watchitgrow#ladiesalive2018#ladiesencouragingothers#daywithfriends
Happy Weekend! What a beautiful fall day here in CT! It’s the perfect day for some fall gardening! I love watching a garden grow, but I literally am the worst gardener in the world. I do NOT have a green thumb and have always had trouble keeping plants alive and healthy. Last year I found the most amazing pre planned gardens online at @santarosagardens and they all bloomed beautifully this summer and were full of hummingbirds and butterflies. The customer service is amazing! Everything arrived beautifully packaged and healthy with an illustrated planting map and a list of instructions. I have ordered from other places in the past and the plants never bloom and the customer service wasn’t helpful. Santa Rosa Gardens is a different story-Jude answered every single question I had and helped me to substitute plants as needed. I highly recommended checking this place out! I decided to order another pre planned garden to plant this fall. I am so excited to get these in the ground and watch them grow!! #butterflygarden#gardening#santarosagardens#flowers#plants#gardens#fallplanting#fallseason 🍁 #weekendgoals#watchitgrow#preplanned#perennials#myhome#mygarden#woodsignshop#wmstudioct
If only I didn't suck as a gardener!! Ha! It's an interesting process to learn and there are different schools of thought and a million ways to do the same thing so when I go to all the garden centers around town and ask the same questions I get all kinds of different answers. WHICH IS COOL! But it's difficult to know which way to go sometimes. I grew up in a Brady Bunch / semi-post Atomic Family environment and my family did NOT garden so I have no background, unfortunately! What an incredible and beautiful journey to start as an adult though! For me, gardening is spiritual, which says a lot because I am agnostic 😂 It genuinely makes me feel better about what I'm doing all day than the tech industry or real estate ever did!! 🌱🌿🌳🐌🐛🦋🐸🐰🐤🐿🐝🐞🦗🌻🌼🌺🤗💜💪 #AffordableHealthcare#FromMyGarden#EatTheRainbow#PlantSomeSeeds#WatchItGrow#Hydroponics#TableTopGardening#PatioGarden
I drove thirty minutes up the road and entered a new world. I brought my film camera to play with while I hiked Switzer Falls Trail. Adventures in nature and film photography help me slow down and focus on the beauty of each moment. Just appreciating the way the sun hits the leaves, the stack of acorn tops left by a squirrel, a snake swimming in a pool of water while a giant beetle darts about, the fruits of the season, mountains beyond mountains, and how the light bends around the trees. Mmmm nature, I love you. #filmphotography#35mm#nature#getoutside#switzerfalls#slowitdown#watchitgrow#love
Recently I was reminded of a story in the Bible about Moses.
• “Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "When Pharaoh says to you, 'Prove yourselves by working a miracle,' then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.'" So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.” Exodus 7:8-10
God asked Moses to lay it down and when he did, it became something supernatural. God continued to use the stick (staff) in Moses’ hand in the miraculous and supernatural throughout the rest of his life. •
It challenged me to think what’s in my hand. What am I holding onto that my Father wants me to lay down and watch become supernatural? •
Sometimes we hold so tightly to something that it remains just a simple stick. But what if we let it go? What if we laid it down and watched God move?
He will do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could even ask or imagine!
Are you dreaming big enough?
