Trial prints of my publication Wanderland were used to make this wastebook full of various recycled papers. Notebook is a result of workshop at Hala Gwardii organized by @patynavintage. 💃

Water connects every aspect of life. Access to safe water and sanitation can quickly turn problems into potential.
Today, 1 in 9 people lack access to safe water; 1 in 3 people lack access to a toilet. More people have a mobile phone than a toilet. We can change this.
Cape Town, first huge city with no permanent water success, people can't use water as they are used to. Next cities to come: Mexico City, Melbourne, Bangalore and many others will face huge problems within the next years.
Climate change does not improve the world wide situation regarding drinking water, droughts get more, farmers get value water from other places to water their fields.
It's also how we use the water: We drink, shower, flush drinking water, but this is only 8% of the worldwide liquid freshwater use. 70% go to Aggriculture nad 22% to industry.
Moreover, let's take Coca Cola bottles for exampple: 28l for 1l bottle go to ingredients they need to get "Coca cola", 7l go to the packaging. Every glas of beer needs 74l of water for the ingredients, a cup of coffee 130l.
2500l are needed for a t-hirt.
Most waste: Meat! 510l needed to grow Alfalfa (food for cows). 12kg of feed per cow, a day! One Burger takes up to 1650l of water.
Water gets wasted on a daily basis!

Trash cocktail from the River Thames
During low tide, you have the chance to stroll along the bank of the River Thames. The trash in the picture is the amount I collected within about 5 minutes. It is embarrassing to witness, how much trash is swimming in there - mainly plastic from food packaging.

This! Too true. I’m not a big lotion user but I do find this with sunscreen 🤦🏼♀️ a waste of lotion/potion (at the bottom) and lots of difficult to recycle plastic bottles and pump parts. We need to vote with our feet and not reward this type of design flaw when we can! @newyorkermag
Some call it ugly veggie, I call it real food! We've been tricked all these years to food standard that's not total reality. It's more a total disconnection from the perfect imperfection of nature. I feel like most people take for granted what they buy at the supermarket without ever asking themselves "where does it come from?" Don't eat it because it looks good, eat it because it's tasty, local, without chemicals, that's the real deal! And by the way, perfectly shaped carrots in plastic bags are the worst scam ever, but if you like to - pay more - eat veggies that have been soaked in chlorine - produce plastic and carrot waste for nothing, be my guest!
According to @natgeo there's one third of the #food worldwide production that goes to #waste , and it could feed two million people.

Theme: #Recycling . We do. Because it matters.
This year, people have been motivated to care about plastics in a way they never have before.
#Sustainability is firmly on the national agenda and the public is looking to organisations to help solve major environmental issues. That makes #RecycleWeek a greater opportunity than ever to change people’s recycling behaviours while gaining positive publicity and building your organisation’s reputation.
Now in its 15th year, Recycle Week is a celebration of recycling, organised by WRAP under the Recycle Now brand. The aim of the week is to encourage the public to recycle more, by demonstrating the benefits of recycling items from all around the home.
The theme is designed to capture attention and put across simple but important messages about why recycling matters. Partners will have the opportunity to bust myths and demonstrate why recycling is beneficial – keeping it in use, and out of our #environment . Recycle Week 2018 is going to be our biggest yet! Recycle Now would love to have you involved.
Take a look at their short film and get inspired to support #RecycleWeek2018 . If you are an organisation and are interested in getting involved, please email: PartnerEnquiries@wrap.org.uk and they will get in touch with you to discuss how you can work together.

We cannot stop #waste production entirely, but everyone can make a significant contribution. Think before you bin! It saves #energy and #natural resources, helps to reduce #pollution and reduces the need for landfill.
Every minute, one #garbage truck worth of #plastic is dumped into the #ocean . Yearly, a colossal 1.4 billion pounds of #trash ends up in our #beautiful#oceans . Of this waste, much of it is plastic.
REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. Save our oceans and #animals !
