Hello beautiful people, this is my latest artwork which I will be taking with me on my Pilgrimage to meet 47 Governors in Japan. I have dyed a 20 meter Japanese paper called Washi for this project as my previous 20 meter tie-dye is made of cotton and will be too heavy for me to carry. :

Autumnal Rowan (Mountain Ash) printed on handmade Japanese washi paper from @awagami_factory ... with ochre and mustard leaves and ‘raspberry red’ berries.
This photograph is showing the ‘back’ of the page as printmaking is in progress and the image is slowly emerging. There is a lovely softness to this side of the page because of the soft texture of the handmade washi paper. We think it could definitely be shown this way (kind of ‘back to front’ but not really as it is a reversible print anyway)
You can watch the making of this print in the workshop in our Instagram stories and saved to our highlight reel as ‘Rowan’ .
This might just be my personal favorite of all the prints we have made so far ... we will be adding this print to our shop next week. But I just couldn’t wait to show it. Happy Weekend!
