Checkout one of our newest #winery partners from Columbia Valley, Washington! Sleeping Dog Wines was established in 2002 after ten years of experimentation by owner/winemaker Larry Oates. The name of the winery was derived in part from his infatuation with our canine friends, coupled with the fact that reds are allowed to age prior to release – “let those dogs lie.” Link in profile 🐶👉🏼
Hospitality. Passion. Integrity. Community. Respect. Dedication. Spending the morning @wtvintners reminds me of what made me fall in love with what I do. Thank you. #6wordmemoir#wawineroadtrip @wa_state_wine
FIGGINS Estate Vineyard is the highest elevation Bordeaux variety vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. Our 2015 Estate Red vintage was the earliest in our harvest history, but retained a delicious balance between acidity and tannin due in part to the high elevation. Rich in color, the wine entices you with an intoxicating nose of baking spices, cherry compote, wild roses, cassis and caramel apple. Layer upon layer of perfectly ripe red and black fruits, and a silky tannin engage the palate. Our 2015 FIGGINS Estate Red Wine is now available for purchase! Visit our website to join the list and receive access to this year’s allocation offer.
Where in the world is Kristine? Blink and you’ll miss her, but she’s having a blast! Over the course of the last week, she was invited to host a group of 40 visiting College Alumnist for an adventure in Walla Walla Wine country aboard the #AmericanEmpress (thanks, @visitwallawalla!), celebrated the Spartan Races Tertulia-style at the Hilton Garden Inn Bothell, and, of course, had to find the most delicious pastries from @nuvrei in Portland for her and Xavier to stay fueled for a weekend representing Tertulia at @feastportland!
KING COAL - Heart of darkness, nothing darker than coal. Named after the old Whitehouse-Crawford lumber mill located in Walla Walla, Washington where Charles used to hang out. More specifically, the King Coal name is from the old coal stove that powered the large mill.
