I’m going to be 100% honest about the business I’m building....
▪️I’m not making thousands of dollars a month
▪️I’m not crushing every goal I put on my monthly goal list
▪️Some days I don’t show up for my business
▪️I hear ‘no’ A LOT.
▪️I get ignored A LOT.
▪️I do care what my friends and family and even acquaintances think of me
▪️I am self conscious of the word ‘direct sales’ or ‘multi-level marketing’
▪️I have some jealousy when it comes to other moms and their booming careers
▪️I’ve had to learn how to be effective and purposeful with my network marketing strategy and I’m not sure I’m always doing it correctly but I want to learn
These are things I’ve been growing through since starting my business 6 months ago and when I dive deeper into each bulletpoint I notice it’s not even about that thing... it’s so much deeper. I’ve been needing an excuse to grow for the last 5+ years but didn’t realize it until this opportunity presented itself in the exact moment it did.
It’s not even about Rodan + Fields really (don’t get me wrong- it IS the best skincare and I’ve ever used and the community is amazing) but instead it’s about growing into the person I’m meant to be- outside of a wife and Mom.
And to be even more honest...
▪️I’m more scared to stay the exact person I am today than take a few steps off the beaten path where things might be uncomfortable but I will grow to be a better human for myself and friends/family.
▪️I am learning so much about direct sales that I was uneducated about and now realize is a huge advantage
▪️I crave the connection of others and want to be part of someone else’s legacy
▪️I want to provide for our family in ways I don’t even know exist yet
▪️The fulfillment I have gotten from starting my business is worth all the no’s in the world
▪️I want to create a life that is grounded in changing people’s lives, creating deep connections, giving back and saying yes

Crab vindaloo, Spicy Aloo Dum and Baturas, this Sunday couldn't get any better!
These hermits were marinated in mums special vindaloo recipe and was cooked on a low flame to perfection!
I took on the spicy Aloo Dum and Baturas and spun my twist on it.
The baby potatoes were slightly fired and kept aside. Onions, tomatoes, ketchup, whole garam masala and powdered spices made up the gravy for this dish... The Baby potatoes were added and dry roasted in the concoction of spices. Finally water was added and the potatoes were allowed to simmer till soft and the gravy thickened. It was dressed with fresh coriander and dry roasted cumin powder and drizzled with ghee(clarified butter)

🍂🎃 .. pumpkin spice! Morning power punch👊🏻of dense nutrients, protein and vitamins .. delicious! What I have noticed since starting my day with my power shake is that my insulin levels have balanced out. My morning “go-to” used to be pb and toast (ya hear me) .. then found I’d be STARVING an hour later. My morning binge eat would be to then pack in more carbs to bring the insulin up. In step Tim Horton’s Breakfast Sandwich🤤So that had to🛑. I was forming super bad habits which have led to gaining 70lbs in 7 years! Now, mornings are a shake and a cuppa joe (can’t take a coffee away from a Momma). Mince Mole is one such dish of this delectable cuisine. A dish prepared with layers of butter mashed potatoes and mildly spiced mince meat, topped with hard boiled eggs and sprinkled with coarsely ground pepper to give it that perfect spicy punch.

Veien har ikke vært enkel, jeg har slitt mye med å finne balanse i kostholdet mitt og jobber enda med det, men det har sakte men sikkert blitt mye bedre. Jeg har lært at du kan ikke sluntre unna jobben på kjøkkenet å tro at du kan trene det vekk på gymmet. Jeg er slettes ikke supernøye, koser meg i helgene med yoghurtnøtter og jeg spiser hvis jeg er sulten, den største forskjellen er at jeg har lært å velge smart og all kos er med måtehold. .
Jeg føler meg enda ikke ferdig og gleder meg til å se hva jeg kan oppnå med den jobben jeg legger ned med supercoach @agebunde i ryggen.

Today, we did the 500m row challenge. My goal was to make it on the leaderboard, hitting at least 1m24s. I didn’t, and that’s ok, I did do it in 1m29s though. It gave me 2 things: 1- a new goal for next time. 2- an amazing level of respect for those who can score these low times. Although I am super tired today, I am feeling great again, so back to the workout grind I go!!! Day 2️⃣ of week 7️⃣ is in the books!!! Today was leg day and it legit Kicked. My. Ass!!!

I’ve been #MIA the last week... if I’m honest, I’ve been teetering for a while. 🍃
I have been struggling with the overwhelm of parenting, and the responsibility of these beautiful children of ours. The food allergy battle is always there in the background as much as I try and soldier on and keep the anxiety pushed down.
Then in the weekend when we were away without hubby, baby bear had a reaction, and on returning home I ended up with three sick kids. Sounds like we aren’t alone with all the bugs around at the moment but I pride myself on making good holistic choices for our family and all of a sudden it just felt like, what was the point. Was it even making a difference ? I #hitthewall well and truly.
Typically I reframe, I give myself a short time to sort myself out, I remember to be grateful... but it all went out the window. The anxiety started to bubble up and that light thats usually shining at the end of the tunnel started to dim.
I’m not saying I’m magically a box of birds again, but what it has made me realize is that parenting really can be a lonely time. We are all on our own journey of learning and developing and teaching and it’s vitally important to have other things in our life to balance parenting out. To give some perspective to the relentless responsibility of it all. To remind us to enjoy our children along the way.
While I work on climbing out of this allergy hole that is the norm for so many these days, I have realised something. If it wasn’t for eczema and allergies, I wouldn’t have been open to the information that came knocking. I wouldn’t have done all the gut health research and holistic health learning, in order to better equip myself. And so I wouldn’t have appreciated the magic of whole food. But most of all, I would have missed the opportunity to pay it all forward by sharing it with other people, so that we can plan toward some bigger, better, and healthier goals. 🙌🏼

One year ago I was struggling with a knee injury. I tore my ACL when I fell at work, and the damaged it further during a running event. I could hardly walk for weeks. I felt lost, running had been my passion for years and I had completed numerous marathons and ultra marathons. I was told that I would not be able to run long distance again, but rather than give up I changed my passion. .
One night I answered an online ad looking for Health and Wellness coaches... and that was the night my life took a new turn. .

So this past couple of days (after an already manic week at work), I attended AAC 2018 and WOW, what an event to attend! It was busy, packed out and full of inspirational people detailing the recipes for succeeding in a lifestyle that enables you to live life, whilst actually living life 🙌🏼 As part of this, I wanted to demonstrate a bit of my personal development, whereby I step outside of my comfort zone. This video isn’t using any filters and isn’t pre-rehearsed or edited in any way, it’s just me exposing myself on social media.

Indian cuisine involves a lot of Grill and Tandoor cooking especially for Kebabs, though Kebabs are of Persian origin. Tangri Kebab is a Kebab made using the legs of chicken. Tangri(pronounced as Tangdi) simply means the leg or drumstick.
I made these kebabs in OTG using the broiling method (broiling is a method of boiling and grilling)
The drumsticks are marinated in yogurt, spices, corriander, ginger, garlic and mint leaves and left to marinate for at least an hour. This lovely side was served with Tandoori onions which was made with the left over marinade,which was cooked and poured over sliced onions.
