Happy December 1st! For some reason I was thinking it was the last day of November. 🤔 And I missed the last two days of my walk thankful challenge! 😭 But I started Dec off right by getting a nice long walk in this morning! 👊 The ditch across the road was so pretty with the sun peeking through the trees. 🌞 #stillwalkingthankful#naturelover#walkthankful#gorgeousday
It's a gray and rainy on this last day of November, but I am feeling sporty and cozy in this new vest from my cousin. (Me? Sporty?!) i'm thankful for the push that #WalkThankful gave me to walk many days this month. And I'm hopeful that this habit will continue to brighten up my days. #fit2b
I’ve been walking. Just too busy to post pictures and then I do have the ha it of not bringing my phone. This tree reminded me of the leaves of Lorian. #walkthankful#fit2b grateful for warm fall days at the end of November
As we end the cyber Monday sale having hit some astonishing milestones, this is me 🙏🏻As a small business owner and female entrepreneur, I can speak to how there are goals reached that make no sense to others. 🌗
Completed projects are celebrated with some extra exclamation marks in text messages to my team that are read between the spaces of making dinner and answering another email. ☕️
Massive traffic and sales increases are followed by quiet, steady lows. 🛀🏽 Some see my website and assume I make millions. Others see 29 ways I can improve even though they cant possibly know or duplicate what's happened behind the scenes for 7 years... all the plugins that crashed our site, all the mistakes and failures and learning moments that I refused to let ruin all our hard work.
How do you do it? How did you become successful?
Um, I got up everyday and did one thing or 5 things toward our goals. I got up every day and did what I love.
When things went sideways, we analyzed. When stuff failed, we fixed it. When members complained, we were kind and polite. When a blog went blank, I rewrote it. When a member made a suggestion, I added it to my list.
It's hard work. I now have a staff to help, but at first it was just @chrisbehnke and I, buidling together with the help and support of our spouses. Now it supports 5 families.
As we enter 2018, we have more plans. We will keep getting up every day and reaching out, reaching inward, pushing the wheel, taking care of our clients and through them, our families.
Thank you for all your support and encouragement ♥️ #fit2b#walkthankful#homefitness#homeworkouts#onlinefitness#onlineworkouts#praisepose#diastasis#diastasisrecti
Day 28 of walk thankful! I walked a while at a park today which was a nice change of scenery! Then had a great time of fellowship with a sweet friend, before heading to Hosanna's piano lessons, where we enjoyed our favorite piano teacher. Then took a trip to town with hubby, and ended the day with maple syrup popcorn (our take on Carmel corn 😀) and a movie. It's been a good day! With lots of movement! 😎 #fit2b#walkthankful#blessed
Day 27 of walk thankful! Only a few more days left. I'm hoping I created enough of a habit, that I'll continue to walk everyday anyway! Today I'm thankful for a special little girl who held my hand and walked with me. (Only for a few minutes, but we both enjoyed it! ♥) And for another gorgeous sunset! I was feeling rather 'blah' all day, and didn't go for a walk till evening, and I felt so much better after my walk that I totally should have walked this morning and possibly avoided the blahs. 😅 #fit2b#walkthankful#blessedmama#thesesunsetsthough !
Day 26 of walk thankful! It was another gorgeous day for a walk! I'm ready for some winter weather, (don't hate me now! 😀) but I'm also really enjoying these gorgeous fall days! So thankful for the ability to walk. We talk it for granted but not everyone has that privilege. ❤ #fit2b#walkthankful#blessed
In a world full of mallards be the Aflac duck. 😂 This maybe the first cliche white duck I’ve ever seen in #idaho waddling around with his posse of mallards 🦆 #fit2b#walkthankful
Also I haven’t gone ghost. I’m still #walking and I’m still #thankful I’ve just been taking care of one sick kid after another and so forgetting to take pics as much as usual of my #foodaccountability and #fitnessjourney Love you all and happy holidays.
These two blessings walked with me today! ❤ They were pretty sure I should take up race walking, though. 😄 I even tried to slow down for them. Ha! Fit2b has a walking course that has been super helpful for me! #fit2b#walkthankful#blessedmama#walkingcompanions
Got a quick mile in on the treadmill, 2 rounds of the weight machines and a sauna! I used Raven in the sauna. Anyone else use Oils in the sauna? What do you use? Today I’m thankful for my hubby, who worked out too! #fit2b#walkthankful#ravenessentialoil#sauna
Day 24 of walk thankful! Today was such a beautiful day! As I walked by this tree, a gust of wind came, along with a shower of leaves! I managed to catch a few of the leaves with my camera. 😊 And I passed by a lone dandelion, that I think is confused and doesn't realize it's almost winter! 😄 So thankful for the gift of nature that God so generously gives us! ❤ #fit2b#walkthankful#naturelover#countryliving
I missed posting yesterday, but I did get my walk in! Walked a few miles along the road, and then back in our meadow where I spied these pretty asparagus berries! Today I didn't get an actual walk in, but I got to babysit 2 delightful little boys, (plus my own delightful kiddos 😉)and after that, Steve and I painted the kitchen, so I still got lots of movement in. 3 and a half miles according to my fit bit, so not tooo shabby. 😁 #fit2b#walkthankful#naturelover#keepmoving
Sometimes going for a walk means leaving when the baby is crying, the kids are fighting, we haven't finished that important conversation, and/or I should be getting dinner started. I'm thankful for a husband who is willing to take on that chaos for a few minutes while I walk so I can have less chaos inside myself. Because who could look at this sunset and not feel the stress melting out of their very being? #fit2b#walkthankful
Day 19 of walk thankful. I had a great brisk walk today with snow flurries the whole time! I loved it! I tried to take a pic because it looked so pretty against our neighbors trees, but it didn't show up very well. 😏 So I guess you just have to believe me. 😄 #fit2b#walkthankful#countryliving
Cold day for a Cub Scout "hike" but it was fun. I've been forgetting to share my #walkthankful posts but today was a good one. #fit2b
Glad they wore their old shoes because it was super muddy! And thankful that I don't always clear out the van because that gave us an extra hooded sweater that came in very handy when a certain 3 year old had lost her hat between the kitchen and the van. Not sure how that's possible but she managed it.
So thankful to be outside on this gorgeous day with my little guy who has been down with hand, foot & mouth since Tuesday! 🤒 Coxsackievirus is the worst! But he is on the mend and today's blue sky is the best! 😍 #walkthankful
My 40 minute walk went great. Until 3 hours later I was in pain. So a few days off and now back to 20 for the month and 30 and holding in December. Recovery is tough 😩Also, I need to do my exercises so my foot gets stronger. Thankful it was a blip and not a true setback. Managed a metro trip with no pain yesterday! #walkthankful#fit2b
#walkthankful#fit2b We went to watch the tree lighting in a neighboring town and I climbed up after my girl on the play set several times. So thankful to be able to do this 1 year postpartum. When my eldest was 1 I was in too much pain to even think of climbing a play-set!
#fuelcycle and #walkthankful report. Lost 2 pounds which is huge for me. Unless I starve myself (which I refuse to ever do again) 1 pound a month is typically my max so I #smh at y’all who have a bad attitude over only losing 6 pounds. I lost a whopping 1.25 inches off my waist and almost 2 inches off my butt (that one is sad to me 😝) and I lost 1/4 inch off the bust and NOTHING off the hips (I never had hips in the first place). I see virtually no difference in the mirror but I feel good and it’s nice to know I’ll at least maintain through the holidays and not gain . Edited to add total lost— 14.6 pounds in 10 months.
Day 16 of walk thankful! I got a nice walk in today and then played volleyball for a couple hours this evening, so I got my workout in for the day! I haven't played in a few weeks due to being sick, so I have a feeling I might be starting my day off with a hot bath tomorrow. 😄 Today I'm so thankful for this little hobby farm that we call home. And of course my favorite thing about our place is who I share it with. 😉😀❤ #fit2b#walkthankful#hiltyhomestead#countryliving
Day 15 of walk thankful. I kept waiting for the rain to let up so I could walk, but it didn't, so I walked in the rain. 😁 It wasn't pouring; just a nice steady rain and I ended up feeling very refreshed! Then Steve had coffee waiting for me when I got back so it ended up being a wonderful walk! 😍 I'm so thankful to be feeling good again and able to enjoy the outdoors! 💜
Day 14 ~ Gratitude isn't experienced as much as it's practiced. Almost halfway through the #walkthankful challenge I realize that when you walk with gratitude you run with a full joyful heart. #stepsofgratitude
I walked away from the wind off the river today and found this bright spray painted leaf in the park. There were several homeless people bundled up sleeping on the ground there. I’m thankful I have a bed and warm house. #walkthankful#laxwellness
Day 13 of walk thankful. I missed a few days, but I had a great walk today! 💚 As I walked past our pasture field where the chickens are roaming it made me realize how thankful I am for them. 😀 These ladies bless us every single day with fresh eggs! 😄 ♥
I am really congested with low energy. But on day 12 we walked the mall a bit because our leopard gecko, Julia, needed food. Our mealworm farm shipment hasn’t come, so we started with 100. They are officially more interesting to two of my kids than Julia is. The cooing, cuddling, providing for... How did I get to be such a cool mom? My parents, silly. 🙃 #walkthankful#fit2b
"Hey, will you take a picture with my phone as I walk away from you, so I have proof?" 😋 that's how it's done, but HEY you guys I walked a slow gentle 1.6 miles today 🙌🏻 I started with just a few laps around the house the day after surgery, and have added a little each day since then 💪🏼yes, the neck brace feels stiff and weird BUT as I practice elongating out of it and keeping my eyes on the horizon, it becomes less of a crutch and more of a protective shield and guide. As I adapt to my new disc in these first weeks after surgery, I have to guard against suddenly reflexive movements and falls, or all could be lost. I need support + gentle muscle retraining ... sound familiar? It's the same thing new mamas need after the massive stress of pregnancy, labor and delivery ♥️ I am so excited for physical therapy this week 😁I'm so thankful my surgeon told me to walk as much as I feel able, although he did sternly clarify no races or mountain climbing 😂#givemesomecredit#walk#walkthankful#c6c7#herniateddisc#discectomy#mobiC#10dayspostop#fit2b#gentlerecovery#slowisthenewfast#progression#homefitness#fitspo#keepingitreal#strongbeauty
Days 10 and 11! I had this guy for 3 nights trying to find him a forever home. I got sick a day into it and haven’t been away from the house at all. I took him out today before he left. I also visited my ducks. Switched their water and watched them muddle. So soothing and it was worth getting up for. #walkthankful#fit2b https://fit2b.us/walkthankful-join-our-november-30-day-walking-challenge/
Day 10 of walk thankful. Today I'm super thankful for these gorgeous flowers that hubby got me for no reason at all! 😍😍 Those kind are the best! ♥ It was cold today but I got a walk in! #fit2b#walkthankful#blessedwifey
A few days ago, the theme for our November walking challenge was something small. As I recover from neck surgery, everything feels small to me. I'm doing small motions, small walks, small sips, small bites, small sleeps, small interactions with my family during small active periods. It sucks and it's beautiful at the same time. This rest and recover phase is crucial, and I preach it to my own clients when they begin healing their #diastasisrecti but it's hard for us as female powerhouses! I've got ideas, energy, even ability to do all the things, but there's a big difference between "can" and "should." This short season will help me do "me" better if I'm smart and stay focused, especially after rehab which I start next week. Ohhh I cannot wait for that massage! 🍁P.S. This kitten is up for adoption if you're local to southwest Washington state 🐱article about my neck recovery in profile 💪🏼#smallthings#babybarncat#discectomy#oldinjury#radicalselfcare#fit2b#keepingitreal#rest#walkthankful#recover#rehab#seasonofrest#necksurgery
Blue sky, chilly wind. Thankful that the end of my week walking 30 minutes has me feeling like I can bump up to 40 on Sunday. Whereas the start of my 30 minute walk had me feeling like I'd be stuck at 30 minutes all month. #fit2b#walkthankful
Late to post day 9. Here’s my something small. He’s the smallest one I have. And as far as small things, sometimes they bring great joy. He is wearing a retractable lanyard and my kids each have a color. It makes them feel big to have an all access pass. So far their pockets only include their barcodes for the library and the YMCA. But I will also be putting my contact information inside, plus maybe a zoo key and other things for the activities we do. They can go on their bags, shirts, or stay with me. It’s the little things.
My walking was a slight bit with my dad on the track at the YMCA, but we also played some basketball for a little while. So much fun! I had completely forgotten and how much cardio you get from moving your feet and your arms doing that. I think it will be our plan after swim lessons every week now. Just to go and play! And I am terrible, but that doesn’t matter. #walkthankful#fit2b https://fit2b.us/walkthankful-join-our-november-30-day-walking-challenge/
