My mind is my own worst enemy when it comes to “thinking big.” I am constantly telling myself all the reason why it won’t work or why I’m not good/smart/talented enough.
We need to start seeing ourselves the way our moms see us. If you’re a mom yourself you know exactly what I mean. The sky is the limit for my smart and beautiful little people...so why isnt the same true for ourselves 🤷🏻♀️
TRUTH BOMB 💣 it is!!! We are all way more capable than we choose to believe. We need to start letting go of the fear and doubt that is holding us back and start living our lives the way they were meant to be lived!
Tried really hard to think of an excuse to lay in bed this morning to watch the snow (❄️ YASSSS) fall & snug under all 15 blankets on my bed (I wish I was joking, but homegirl likes a cozy spot) 🤷🏼♀️ But this quote randomly popped into my head as that 3rd alarm 🚨 struck and I jumped STRAIGHT out the bed. “Ask yourself if what you’re doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.” WOAH. 😳 You probably haven’t had a gut check like that in awhile, right?
Instead of letting my laziness & excuses take charge, I not only got dressed, super fueled myself and smashed a 30 minute workout... I dug deep + got ✌🏼 sweaty workouts done with my early morning chicks 🐥
I have all my current November girls doing a challenge starting yesterday doing 3 simple things: drinking 100oz of water 💦 , checking into the Empowerment Studio 🧘🏼♀️ each day and getting in their workouts 💪🏼- and duh, prizes 🏆 for those who qual are DEF included (y’all know I love gift giving!!). Sounds easy enough, right?! ... so why aren’t you joining us yet, gf?! Get fit, have accountability, eat better and... GIFTS 🎁 I want in!! My new favorite morning drink... so yummy! Plus it helps make me stronger by providing my body with so much nutrition. Just 1TB spoon of #chiaseeds and 1 Cup of mylk of choice, I used soy. Today’s non scale victory is having my weights not be heavy enough anymore. When I first started my workout program like 3 weeks ago, my heaviest weights were HEAVY. I could use them, they weren’t too heavy, but they were heavy like they’re supposed to be for this specific program. This morning, while doing chest and biceps I realized these heavy weights that 3 weeks ago were really heavy, aren’t heavy any more. I felt no fatigue during the sets with them. My middle weights I can use now for the light weight sets, and my heavy weights for the middle weight sets. I gotta go get some heavier weights so I can keep improving. Proud of myself for. Continuing with at home workouts. They aren’t easy for me. I’m the type of person where at 5am, if I’m gonna go to the gym with my mom I’ll get up and go to the gym. By the time I get to the gym I’m awake and ready to go. At home, when my alarm goes off some days it’s a struggle. I know that I can just sleep in, because no one is expecting me at the gym. BUTTTTT- that right there mindset needs to go, and I’m working on it. 👍🏼 I found an accountability buddy, who works out at the same time as me in the morning so now we’re going to ZOOM each other from our houses so it’s just like we were going to meet at the gym. 🥳 I’m hoping soon enough I’ll be confident enough to share some of my progress pics, but we will get there 🙃 •
How will next week, next month, next year look for you❓Do you have a burning desire to make a change in some area of your life or is it the long lingering flicker that keeps nudging you, reminding you daily it’s time to do something different❓
How about making the decision today that it’s time to go for it❓ Nothing else. Just decide. See how it feels to be taking action on that decision. Let the feeling sink in of when you have achieved it. Are you already standing taller, walking with more confidence, embracing this new feeling of achievement?
Take that feeling and use it to motivate you, to inspire yourself to say YES, I am ready!! And then make a plan and work your plan!

Monday’s Good Word.

I’ve experienced a lot this week and put my fitness journey somewhat on hold to enjoy and celebrate life and happiness. There are other important factors in my life other than fitness and while fitness is a huge part of my life it’s not all of my life. I tend to be an all or nothing kinda girl and when I’m not hitting the goals that I want I beat myself up over it and tend to quit all together. I was reminded this week from the great people in my life to keep going because they are inspired by my dedication to my fit journey. They have seen me fall and where there to pick me back up. So now I’m ready to finish this week strong and get back on the horse because I have people who are rooting for me to win. .
So just keep going because you never know who might need to see it! .
