Candy Corn is the biggest kitty in the litter. This boy is very playful! He loves to explore! And he does great with the all the dogs, cats, and kids that come to his foster home!
Candy Corn is a 3-month-old Domestic Shorthair mix kitten. He is neutered, microchipped, utd on shots, and available for adoption. The #dream is free but the #hustle will cost you.
In 2010 #domesticviolence was a topic talked about in private behind closed doors. A group of 28 women agreed something needed to be done to raise awareness and assist Domestic Violence #survivors to rebuild their lives. The RISE Project was born. Seven years of hustle and nearly $700 000 later two shelters were built and an eductional program #lovechoices was planted into schools. These women are the #zonta club of Caloundra. This month I am privileged to film a short doco about the RISE journey and capture the story before it's lost.
"St Catherine's is my local hospice and I was keen to provide my time, energy and commercial experience to ensure St Catherine's continues to provide its vital work and care to as many people as possible in my local community. No one should face death alone. I have found through my trustee duties, meeting and learning from others and bringing my previous career experience to a new challenge has been extremely rewarding and I am in awe of the positive impact that St Catherines has on so many local people." This week is Trustees Week so we wanted to say a big THANK YOU to each of our amazing Trustees, including Jan who shares her personal story and connection 🌟
This Saturday we had probably the most successful members training we've had in a very long time with about 40 people in total and lots of clubs represented! That includes of course Fairmont Optimists with Val, Faith, Miranda, Thi, Brooke, Karen, and Kelsie! Thank you also to Mrs Armstrong for giving us all of those scrapbooking supplies, we will definitely be making one this year!
fueled by dry conditions and extreme winds, the fire has left a path of destruction as thousands have evacuated their homes. we are sending prayers to the people and animals displaced as fires tear through communities. 📸 @wallyskalij #regram

“I met Amina in the hammam [the public bath house]. Fitting, as she became my closest friend in site. She's a couple of years older than me and super smart and driven. She still remembers a lot of the English she learned in high school. Our conversations were always her speaking imperfect English, and me responding in imperfect Darija. We built a strong friendship on it."
"I've gotten to know a lot of people in my town but it seems like even though I've been here two years, all of my relationships are surface-level. Amina is the only one with whom I've gone deeper. I'm genuinely sad to think about leaving and not knowing when or if I'll ever see her again. I really hope our paths cross again someday.” - PCV Caitlyn
As our staj 98 volunteers bring their services to a close, we celebrate all the work they've done and all the friendships they've made here in Morocco. Thanks for all you've done and all that you'll go on to do, Caitlin & staj 98!
Played #BINGO today with our #veterans at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center with #coworkers . Standing next to my friend Darryl Kelly Jr , a coworker, who helped to organize this rewarding #volunteer opportunity.
If you can give... #Repost @caatfriends (@get_repost)
PLEASE (go to @caatfriends to) WATCH VIDEO & SCROLL >>> This was Spunky‘s Rescue Ranch in August. The last two photos were taken today and what’s left of the cattery! TOTAL DEVASTATION!
Three cats were found and one will need to be put to sleep due to excessive injuries. The other two are being treated for smoke inhalation and burns and will be in an oxygen tank and on pain meds. Bills are already coming in and stacking up along with the stress. This is the worst news today. We all held on for hope. We pray the other two make it.
If you can please donate to the GoFundMe in the link in our bio, we would be forever grateful.

A little story for #MondayMotivation (and inspiration!) from DTL Board Member “Shawna”, & her eldest daughter “Norah”! ❤️:
“So. We bought some things for toddlers for Seattle Children’s today!
Let me tell you: Norah picked them out.
It was really hard for her to buy toys for someone else (as you can imagine), but it was a beautiful selfless lesson for her to learn.
Before nap Norah was talking about picking out the presents for the kids in the hospital and said “that was really, really hard, but that’s ok”. This sentence coming from our 2.5 year old who wanted literally everything she saw is a huge deal. We prayed that the toys would get to the exact right kids who would be really excited by them and that it would give each kid a ‘happy heart’.
Thank you for giving us an opportunity to help and teach our daughter a very important and Godly lesson.”
Giving is about so much more than material items or money; and you are never too young— or too old— to learn it.
Today we are so grateful for little Norah and the way she CHOSE to have her heart stretched ❤️
If you would like to participate in our 4th Annual DTL Holiday Event & give back with your family this season, the information is on our website (link in bio!) + our Facebook Page!
The fastest way to be #grateful for what you have is to come to an over crowded mall & see blatant materialism
I realize now that I’m here that I have all I NEED & I don’t want more
There people out there with NOTHING this holiday season , not even enough money to have a thanksgiving meal , I can’t justify spending $22 on a lip gloss at Sephora
Yes lip gloss is nice but maybe a $4 one at Walmart is more justifiable when there are plenty of homeless people in this city
I’m really sad at the mall , especially after volunteering with the homeless so many times , so many people here shopping & so little at my volunteer group #homelesspeople#homeless#volunteer#volunteering#materialism#godfirst#jesuschrist#jesusfreak#jesussaves#godisgood#godfirst
