I think this has to be the longest pattern I have ever pinned up on the narrowest fabric! This is the second time I will have made this pattern. It makes up a lovely dress. In fact, this was the first dress pattern I ever made when I started sewing at about 22. I haven't worn that dress for a while though, as it had to go away for a few years while having babies, but it finally fits again and will be a nice edition to my summer wardrobe. Both dresses will be!
Trending with screenshots: Vogue sewing pattern- V7464 is not gonna like this! Hochanda TV deletes posts of a crafter cracking on Sheena Douglas for using models and artists’ images and claiming credit while Sheena Douglas blocks the crafter who revealed the alleged infringement.
At 6pm GMT, Tuesday the 6th of November 2018, Sheena Douglas launched some sketchy stamps “Women of substances” on Hochanda TV. This show was presented by Sheena Douglas and Hayley West. During the show and also in her show promo advert, Sheena claimed that the images on stamp were designed by her. Hayley West (Craft TV presenter -Hochanda TV) was amazed and displayed admiration for the samples and the rubberstamps. However, a vigilant crafter noticed that the said stamps that Sheen Douglas claimed to have designed herself were from models’ snapshots.
Crafter’s took to Hochanda’s TV Facebook page to air their views but Hochanda deleted the post claiming that it went nasty.
The Crafter who brought this notification to light has been blocked on Sheena’s page from commenting.
Furthermore, the stamps have been pull out from Crafter’s Companion and Hochanda TV website.
One of the stamps that is being contested is from the Vogue 7464 sewing pattern displaying vintage hats by @mccallpatterncompany
Finally, some crafters became nasty and were insulting the crafter that pointed out these alleged infringement.
The trending topic now is, all Sheena Douglas’ rubberstamp ………………… #VogueSewingPattern , #crafttv , #SheenaDouglas#hochandatv , #
So I am a little late for the September Submission for #sewyourview#V9327 View C. #voguesewingpattern this pattern was a quick sew. Tho I did not Line it and I used bias for the neck. Fabric is so gorgeous from @houseofmamiwata . Thanks @thatssewmonica . The lighting was horrible today. My son says it looks like a kimono 👘 . Feeling like I need to be in the church choir with my tambourine 😂
Pattern Haul - Walked in one charity shop for a snoop, and came across the News of the World (top left) sewing pattern. It was only 10p, so I thought why not. .
A little further down the road was another charity shop where I picked up two Vogue patterns for 50p each!
Didn’t realise all the images on V7917 (top right 2004) were all shower robes hehe. I understand why the pattern recommends terrycloth and chenille now 😂There is also instructions for head wraps and slippers! Need to purchase non skid soles for the latter. Excited about trying to make slippers. Will probably try view B as a dress. .
And then I saw the wrap dress pattern V9309 (1995) My heart started singing like it was competing for The Voice. Described as fitted and slightly flared. Has shoulder pads, front tucks, inside ties, side pockets, self lined sleeves, yada, yada. Obviously I didn’t know all this, the image was enough! May sack the shoulder pads tho.
Project started for 3rd piece in the Make Nine Challenge. Raided my fabric, notions and pattern stash (as per my own requirement to participate).
This is the first fitted dress I’ve made in quite a while. It’s exciting but nerve-wracking.
Lovely strange fabric from @moodfabrics. Lacked yardage for the bodice lining. So one quick trip to @joannstores yielded a Swiss dot (not shown)... plus something extra fun for a spontaneous detail on this #voguesewingpattern
Total spend for the challenge to date = $21
(Had a snafu with Make No. 2. Waiting for a genius idea 🧐, so it’s still in the queue). It might happen if I just keep sewing!
First project on my new sewing machine! Decided I needed a summer hat and couldn't find one to fit, so made one instead. Found the sewing pattern in a charity shop for 10p- bargain! The brim is wider at the front than the back, which was a bit confusing as I'd not made a hat before and there were no views of the back. I made it from some upholstery fabric and lined it with calico.
4th pic is a close up of the neatest finishing I think I've ever done- this machine handles 4 layers of upholstery fabric like a dream- so pleased with it!
Vogue 9314's first page of instructions is correct up to step 6 but when the page is turned over it continues with instructions starting at 11 for Vogue 9310. The Betches have never seen the likes of this mistake before and notified Vogue of their error. Who needs correct instructions anyway?! #v9314#mcallpatterncompany#voguesewingpattern#v9310
Here is the second pattern I didn’t use, so is also up for #greatbigpatternswap
This is also, an original Vintage design for Vogue from the year 1960 the sizes are 6-14 inclusive and this is coded A5 but again, I’m not sure what this means. If you swipe to the left, you can see the back of the pattern with all the details on.
I am happy to post this anywhere in the UK and Southern Ireland.
The first person to request it, will get the pattern.
Thanks again to @the.polka.dot.palace @thezipperfoot for arranging this wonderful idea. .
