I love the idea of serving Eggs Benedict on something other than an English muffin and I’ve been experimenting with a whole host of things lately. Ok here it is: the Hannah Banana Bread recipe... this is the most delicious and moist banana bread that is SO easy to make AND is gluten free, dairy free and has no added sugar (just the bananas).
🍌
3 mashed bananas
1/2 cup coconut oil
3 eggs
2 cups gluten free oat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup Lily’s chocolate chips
🍌
1. Preheat oven to 350°
2. Combine wet ingredients in one bowl
3. Combine dry ingredients in another bowl
4. Mix wet and dry ingredients
5. Add in chocolate chips
6. Coat a bread pan with coconut oil and pour in batter
7. Bake for 35-40 minutes
8. ENJOY :)

I have really grown fond of grass-fed ribeye, so I made a simple tartare marinated in @osso_good_bones AIP compliant beef broth, topped with @vitalfarms egg. I enjoy the big chunky cuts which gives it more substance. I add some mineral salt on the meat which helps produce hydrochloric acid for better digestion. 
So Kasey, the Vegetable Police on YT is reconsidering veganism after ten years. Has anyone else seen it? The thing I have always liked about him has been his transparency. If you tell the world you are feeling sick from veganism you will always be questioned for doing it the right way. There is always going to be judgment and ridicule no matter which direction he chooses. I've been so intrigued by his journey and he even admits he tried all different ways of eating and still hasn't healed himself. He said, “we don't feel good ever, but we're doing the right thing.” When you are sick and at rock bottom you have nothing to lose by sharing your experience with others and asking for help. He has even admitted his cravings for eggs and crickets. He mentioned he has to uphold an image but he would have consumed the eggs if he wasn’t in the public eye. I can see his frustration and he has admitted a fear of backlash from his vegan following. I wish him the best in whichever path he decides. My gut issues and sensitive teeth/gums are indeed very similar, so I would like to see what he does. I have a feeling he may have candida overgrowth, sibo and a leaky gut. Will he stay the Vegetable Police or turn into Animal-based Keto Guy? I would really like to see him interviewed by Tristan (Primaledgehealth). Gatis (Sv3rige) will be interviewed by him on Friday so I'm intrigued to see what he has to say! 
My stomach feels so much better and the distention is less prevalent. I have decided to cut out my vitamins and candida/sibo killing pills to see how it goes. I am learning we need these organisms in us to thrive. There have been cases where a whipworm from a pig intestine was consumed by someone with IBS, and their IBS disappeared. People do fecal transplants to help reestablish gut flora. 👇

I made a simple frittata tonight with Parmesan and fresh basil from the farmer’s market. Mmm... there is nothing like the flavor and aroma of fresh herbs! 🌿 😋 I added some tomatoes and giant green olives, then a side of cantaloupe. This was balanced, delicious, and light enough to be eaten at any meal!! Frittata recipe: (adapted from @testkitchen)
1. Eggs. 🥚 In a big bowl, whisk 8 eggs (I love @vitalfarms!!). Stir in 2 Tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Finally, add a small handful of chopped fresh herbs (I used basil) and 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese.
2. Shallot. 👩‍🍳 In a 10” skillet, add 1 Tbsp olive oil. Then add 1 minced shallot and cook for a few minutes, until golden. Then add 1 clove minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
3. Mix it up! ✨ Add egg mixture to skillet with shallot and garlic. Cook on medium heat, stirring with a spatula for about 2 minutes, until the eggs start to curdle. Then put it under the broiler for a few minutes until fluffy and just starting to brown on top.
4. Enjoy! 😋

Corn and soy are genetically modified fillers that wreak havoc on our cells. I don't want them in my foods and I don't want them fed to the proteins that I consume. .

For years I endured excruciating migraines  all because soy was in almost everything I was eating. Once I read every ingredient that came into my kitchen, got rid of the soy, my migraines mysteriously disappeared 😄. Remember that soy has 50  alias no thanks to the FDA. .

I could honestly eat this exact breakfast every morning. The thing I missed most while traveling was my veggie heavy breakfast, & I bought smoothie ingredients (because: summer) but apparently I’m not quite ready to drop my beloved breakfast taco/tostada routine quite yet.

I pre chopped a red onion & a box of mushrooms and kept them raw in separate containers in the fridge for easy cooking, & purchased pre chopped kale knowing I get too hangry in the mornings to cut up everything.

Sauté red onion and garlic in some olive oil on the skillet for 2-3 minutes. Add in the kale so it begins to soften, cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. Add in the mushrooms & cook for about 2 minutes (mushrooms quick V QUICKLY so be sure not to overcook them). Season with smoked paprika, turmeric, chili powder, salt, pepper (& garlic powder if you don’t add in fresh garlic). Add 1-2 @vitalfarms eggs, stir it all together, cook for about 2-3 minutes. Serve with tortilla, on bread, or eat by itself with some avocado, hot sauce and/or salsa!

❗️if you’re in a rush in the mornings, you can sauté the veggies the night before & take it to work with you with a soft boiled egg and warm it up once you’re at the office! Or just add the sautéed veggies to the skillet & add the eggs to make a scramble and you’ll cut out about 8 minutes! There’s always a way to make it work with your schedule - trust me!

Friday baking happened and it went surprisingly well- so well that I had to make another batch yesterday😛🍪 healthier chock chippers that don’t taste like rocks? Like wait my mom actually likes them?? Then you know they r good😂😈 made with olive oil, whole wheat flour, @lilys_sweets_chocolate dark bar, @vitalfarms eggs, @wholesomesweet coconut sugar and some almond buttah + sea salt for the extra 🔥🤤🍪🍯 had to do the most and take this apron pic bc My sister gave Jt to me and I have never shown it on here but it’s my fav💛👩‍🍳 it honestly makes me feel so professional lol! Thoughts so far:
Made it to 11 without too much discomfort. 🙌🏻
Had a few hungry moments but drinking water was fine. It made me realize how much eating has become a routine. I didn’t even feel hungry for the first time until close to 9am when I’d usually have eaten at least once if not twice. By 10:30 I was yawning and really looking forward to 11, but not hangry. By 11am (my 14 hour fast point) I was definitely hungry and ready for food. 
In true mom fashion the first thing I ate was a left over boiled egg my son didn’t eat for breakfast. At least half of my meals are left over kid scraps right? 🤣🤔
I noticed that it would be super easy to binge eat really fast and over do it. Once I ate the egg I grabbed a few handfuls of cashews, apple slices and a banana. I saw the need to slow down and focus on how full I was because it all tasted so good.
I’m finding this to be an exercise in mindfulness and noticed that the kids didn’t ask for food all morning like usual probably because their parents weren’t eating. 
Definitely a good reminder that they are watching us and don’t need to eat hourly any more than we do. ::

Aside from exploring new cities every now and again I also have the amazing opportunity to shoot decor photos for @wildskyevents! This was a for an Instagram brunch in New York City. Every tablescape she creates is just so dreamy and this one is no different!
Aside from exploring new cities every now and again I also have the amazing opportunity to shoot decor photos for @wildskyevents! This was a for an Instagram brunch in New York City. Every tablescape she creates is just so dreamy and this one is no different!
I tweaked the Asian quinoa salad from @minimalistbaker, to get the sauce juusssst right! Steamed broccoli and edamame paired with tricolor quinoa mean super tasty vegan protein times!! Then I added a delicious @vitalfarms hardboiled egg and some avocado... yum!!! 😋 
Recipe:
1. Quinoa. 🌱 Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add 1 tsp sesame oil and 1/3 cup rinsed quinoa. Toast quinoa, stirring frequently, for 2-3 minutes, then add 2/3 cup water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Then reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes (or until liquid is absorbed). Once cooked, fluff with a fork and set off of the heat.
2. Broccoli and edamame. 🥦 Add 1 inch of water to a medium saucepan, heat over medium-high heat, and insert a steamer basket. Bring water to a simmer and then add 1 cup frozen edamame, then 1 large head chopped broccoli and cover. Cook for 2 minutes to gently thaw the edamame and steam the broccoli. Then remove from heat and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
3. Cabbage and pepper. 🌶 Shred 1.5 cups of red cabbage. Thinly slice 1/2 red pepper. Add both to mixing bowl.
4. Dressing. 👩‍🍳 Whisk together 1 Tbsp peanut butter, 1.5 tsp chili garlic sauce, 1.5 Tbsp maple syrup, 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp lime juice, 2.5 Tbsp toasted sesame oil, and 1 tsp fresh minced ginger.
5. Mix it up! ✨ Add cooled quinoa and dressing to mixing bowl and combine everything well. Refrigerate until time to eat! 😋

I follow @rachaelsgoodeats story highlight when I make soft boiled eggs, and it has yet to fail me.
