Greetings from Morwell - October 2018
Located in the Latrobe Valley, Morwell Civic Gardens is home to Kernot Lake, Gippsland Immigration Park and Heritage Walk. Having grown up in Morwell and lived there for 30 years, Kernot Hall was a popular wedding and debutante ball venue and photos were often taken on the footbridge and the gardens. A fountain used to be a feature in the lake and was often illuminated at nighttime. The ducks are another attraction for locals and visitors and I can recall many a time we took our kids to the feed the ducks or do some fishing here. The development of Gippsland Immigration Park is a celebration of the contribution migrants have made to Gippsland and the Heritage Walk focuses on the history of Gippsland. Two large archways with cascades of flowers caught my eye and there is also some great reflections on the lake too #postcardsbyshaz#traveltheworld#livelife#gippslandimmigrationpark#gippslandheritagewalk#kernothall#kernotlake#visitgippsland#welovegippsland#daytrip#makingmemories
Saturday is fruit tart class.
Each guests will make a fruit tart to take home. Rich short crust pastry, creme diplomat, clear cake glazed, top with your choice of fruit. Today I've put home grown mandarins, along with 🥝 and 🍓 on mine.
I think there is still a spot left. If you would like to come along PM me for details.
If you just want a piece of fruit tart, you will find this one, another one topped with red 🍷 poached 🍐 and a quince tart in the 🍰 fridge this weekend. Jaci
