A modern day wreath handmade by @kirralee_and_co in their Brisbane studio. You could Xmas it up but also use it all year round. As much as we love Christmas here, we also love making conscious purchases. Items that have multiple uses and can be used time and time again.
There’s only 2 weekends left for shopping at The Chapel Store. Would you like us to open up any time out of our usual hours in the next two weeks? Just let us know. X
Sold to Malcolm - M3158N Normally when we get a tea set we will price pieces individually in case people can’t afford the full set but in the case of this 1878 - 1890 Derby Crown China Company ‘Osborne’ tea set separating the pieces would be a crime. Consisting of the original teapot, jug & bowl, tray and 6 teacups and saucers it deserves to stay just as it is. After 140 years it has only one hairline crack to one of the teacups and is otherwise in immaculate condition. It is available at Newlyn Antiques and Cottage Garden Nursery for $350. #derbychina#antiqueteaset#victorianteaset#newlynantiques#visitcreswick#visitballarat#visitdaylesford#visitnewlynantiques

M3126N Most great man made objects began their creation as a drawing design. The original drawings give some idea of the shape and dimensions, the image of what the object should look like when constructed.
Many of the objects of furniture we live with today were inspired of designers of long ago. The great furniture designers of the Eighteenth Century such as Hepplewhite and Chippendale drew their inspiration from the Oriental designers of centuries before.
This book English Furniture Designs of the Eighteenth Century by Peter Ward-Jackson is based on the drawings of the great English furniture designers of the Eighteenth Century held by the Victoria and Albert museum of London. It was printed by Her Majesties Stationary Office in 1958. It is a first edition of 225mm x 280mm in size, with 68 pages of text and 366 Black and White Black & White photographic plates of the design drawings of the great designers. Adam, Hepplewhite, Chippendale, Sheraton, Pergolesi,Lock, Linnell, Vardy, Manwering, Johnson and many more.
These are the folk whose designs are still apparent in the surniture of today.
The book is available for sale at Newlyn Antiques & cottage Garden Nursery for $50.00.
M3115n In the Antique Trade having excellent reference books is vital. You need to, at a glance, in a dusty shed, in a darkened corner seperate out a Nineteenth century Chippendale chair from a 1990s Javanese copy being claimed as a Dutch Colonial relic.
Fred W. burgess book on Antique Furniture published by George Routledge & Sons of New York in 1921, is an important book for folk who wish to gain an overall view and to understand the development and the styles of furniture, from the early Romans through every period until late Victorian. It includes the furniture of the great European designers and makers - Adams, Chippendale, Hepplewhite and Sheraton.
It is the second impression. Has 499 pages with a gilt embossed cloth bound hard cover. It has 126 Black & White photographs of Antique furniture and is in excellent, near mint condition.
It is 150mm x 250mm in size.
It is available for sale at Newlyn Antiques & Cottage Garden Nursery for $18.00.
