Wondrous ruins in the heart of the Macao Historic City Centre 😍❤️🇲🇴
This entire area is an official UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is absolutely stunning to explore during the day and at night. I spent quite a lot of time aimlessly walking around here, and I still feel like I barely scratched the surface. It’s such a fascinating area, and cultural history buffs will love it!
“The inscribed property presents a group of 22 principal buildings and public spaces that enable a clear understanding of the structure of the old trading port city. With its historic streets, residential, religious and public Portuguese and Chinese buildings, the Historic Centre of Macao provides a unique testimony to the meeting of aesthetic, cultural, religious, architectural and technological influences from East and West”
It’s also been referred to as Macao’a “acropolis”, and really is an impressive facade. What do you think...? 😍😍

It’s Monday! Today I’m thinking back to China again and all the wonderful (and crazy) experiences we had. Visiting this country helped me appreciate how different life can be a world away. We are all humans but live in such a varying manner. It is so remarkable! This is one part of life in Suzhou. Incredibly distinct and incredibly beautiful in its own right. #travel#internationaltravel#adventure

The architecture of China is as old as Chinese civilization. From every source of information—literary, graphic, exemplary—there is strong evidence testifying to the fact that the Chinese have always enjoyed an indigenous system of construction that has retained its principal characteristics from prehistoric times to the present day.
Throughout the 20th Century, Western-trained Chinese architects have attempted to combine traditional Chinese designs into modern architecture, with great success. Moreover, the pressure for urban development throughout contemporary China required higher speed of construction and higher floor area ratio, which means that in the great cities the demand for traditional Chinese buildings, which are normally less than 3 levels, has declined in favor of modern architecture. .
Our Middle school students are enjoying all that China has to offer. They are on an exchange trip for 2 weeks in Beijing, and have, so far, loved seeing Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, as well as trying new foods! 🇨🇳
A lo largo de la ruta de trekking y de escalada a través de la muralla china, se pueden observar con detalle los restos de algunas torres de vigilancia y además caminar en medio de estas.
Gran Muralla China, Beijing. China.
A long the trekking and climbing trail through the great wall it's possible to see the remains of watch towers and also it's possible to walk on these.

I realised this time when I visited Hong Kong, that I didn't like the idea that in this place, without money, you are no one. I think that the wonder that this city hides is beyond its skycrapers and development, it is in what can be observed daily. The cultural and culinary diversity, which if you are not a good observer, not even the richest of the richest would feel that sensation that Hong Kong delivers.
