“O sucesso é a soma de pequenos esforços, repetidos diariamente.
Esta frase resume este caso, uma potra de 2 anos que sofreu uma laceração de membro posterior esquerdo em um arame liso do piquete. O acidente foi há 2 meses e 15 dias.
Isto nos mostra o quanto é importante a UNIÃO do médico veterinário e proprietário/responsável. Onde nosso FOCO é o SUCESSO do TRATAMENTO e melhora na qualidade de vida do animal. 👨🏼⚕️🚑🚨🐎
💡 Did you know that dogs, cats, even horses have the SAME endocannabinoid system that we have? AND they have receptors that the cannabinoids reach all over their bodies as well?! YUP!!! Sooo... what does this mean?
Well, it means that the following are some things that CBD oil can help with: 🐾 Separation anxiety. CBD has a calming effect! 🐾 Cancer. CBD oil hijacks the pathways that directly inhibit tumor growth! 🐾 Joints & inflammation. CBD fights inflammation by activating the pathway of CB2 receptors! 🐾 Epilepsy/seizures. CBD has been shown a median reduction of seizures by 45.1%! 🐾 Appetite. CBD can help to increase appetite in pets! 🐾 Allergies. CBD acts as a neuro/immune modulator helping with allergies & dermatitis!
All this... plus knowing that you are providing your pet with EXCELLENT nutrition with this SUPER FOOD!!! 🌿💧🐾🐶♥️ #pets#veterinary#petgroomer#dogs#cats#horses
Com um lindo salto
Lesto e seguro
O gato passa
Do chão ao muro
Passa de novo
Do muro ao chão
E pega corre
Bem de mansinho
Atrás de um pobre
De um passarinho
Pula de lado
E quando tudo
Se lhe fatiga
Toma o seu banho
Passando a língua
Pela barriga (Vinícius de Moraes)
We learn a lot in the classroom as #vetstudents , but there are many things we can’t: good hand-eye coordination, efficient tree climbing technique, and fearlessness 8 meters up. All to experience the mangroves, draw some blood from the iguanas, and #savetheswamper @kanahau_utila @tuftsvet —————————————————
• WELCOME BACK DR JAMES •
Dr James is now back from holidays and is ready to care for your pets. James, Amy and their children enjoyed a lovely break, spending 3 weeks exploring Western Queensland.
Many thanks to all of Team Albert for your hard work holding down the fort while the boss was away.
A throwback to the inspiring @thercvs
day and keynote speaker
Prof Derek Knottenbelt as he talked about the importance of mentoring new graduates rather than throwing them in the deep end to see if they figure out how to swim!
Our #Gradtrack programme aims to support both the graduate and the employer!
Derek also touched on blame culture as one of the biggest causes of professional disillusionment. He believes that to keep young vets in the profession we can’t have uncertainty, burnout, lack of mentoring, intolerance of the need to learn in our jobs and lack of personal life
We could not agree more and we are here to support YOU and your teams through initiatives such as Gradtrack and Vetsafe
Join us on wednesday the 25th for our free webinar on tips to support you in your first years in practice!

How to Use Enrichment to Make Your Cat Happier
3. Leash walking: Introducing your cat to outdoor leash walking is a fantastic way to broaden her horizons. The first step is to acclimate her to the equipment so that she has a positive association to wearing something new, like a cat harnessor cat leash. Allow your cat to investigate the pieces at her own pace before you attempt to put the gear on her, then pair the process of putting it on with something positive, like enjoying cat tube treatsthat she can lick off a spoon. Some cats might refuse to walk because of the unfamiliar sensation of being on leash, so Vitale suggests using a chopstick dipped in cat foodgravy to encourage her. She states, “Using the chopstick, lure your cat slightly forward and allow them to lick the food off the chopstick. Then next time, have the cat walk slightly further to be able to lick the chopstick.” Gradually fade the dependence on the tool so that your cat starts to engage with the world around her.

Exciting News! I am here with the best of the best high powered coaches - the kind of coaches that change people's lives. 😀
I am really excited to bring this to you all. Coaching is something that I have done for the last several years. It has given me great satisfaction to see people move past roadblocks and barriers to reach their goals and complete tasks, projects or transitions in a positive way. However, like with everything I do, I want to be able to give my very best and I have always thought I could be doing better. So I have committed to being here at the gold coast to learn from @scottharris.au and go through an intensive ultimate coaching program.
I am learning from the best to be more effective and more powerful in helping people move forward with energy, passion and purpose.
New member of the family 🎉😍😭 Isn’t he gorgeous 😍 his name is Pepper, he is 9 weeks old and very nervous bless him. I’ve sort after some advice from a friend who has done some awesome animal behaviour work before and Pepper and I are now in training 🤷🏼♀️. We are taking it slow but I’m sure Pepper will be settled in no time ❤️ I find animal behaviour fascinating and even more so as a vet student. We have no idea what our patient is feeling so it’s our job to depict it from their body language, vocalisation etc.
I’m in love with you already Pepper 😍❤️🙈
A complete history and physical exam performed by a veterinarian are required to start the process. These may provide clues about disease and support the suspicion of hyperthyroidism. Blood tests are required to comprehensively evaluate the patient. These include checking red and white blood cell counts, serum biochemistry to evaluate organs, electrolytes, and urine analysis. Imaging include x-rays and ultrasound of both the chest and abdominal cavity may be performed. Additional laboratory tests include measurement of thyroid hormones and tests to evaluate thyroid function. At times, advanced imaging may be recommended. Once the results of diagnostic tests are available and are interpreted in conjunction with history and physical exam findings, the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism can be made.
