This is Me making a face while I work at my desk. I am the most un photogenic person on the planet-given my design and photography background, you'd think not, but I'm much more comfortable behind the camera-always! But-oh well! Keepin it real! Thanks to my bear cub for going for "spontaneous" lol! This is my sunroom, one of my favorite spaces because it's bright, simple, and comfy. There's a sitting nook across from me, with a painted Louis armoire reproduction(only way I'd paint it) and my favorite piece, my Louis desk. It's far more grand than I need for my little 'ol self designing on my laptop, and taking notes, but I love the thought of the history behind the piece as well as the beauty. Behind me is a mirrorless trameau, but I have louis pieces throughout my home, and I just wanted the empty frame to hang. I think it's beautiful a little chipped, and a little rough. I found it and the armoire in a little place called TEXAS, which used to be my favorite place to hunt for unique pieces. My desk was a rare find, and I'm embarrassed to say how little I paid for it, the man I bought it from really did not know what a treasure he had. I felt bad, and gave him more, because I had a hard time containing my excitement! Anyone who knows me-knows I probably failed with that poker face!! 😄I love peonies, and when my garden is in bloom, I bring cuttings in for the vases, their season is much too short. So I have silk ones to add a small splash of color. My dogs are always nearby, and as unflattering as the picture is of my and my buddy, Mr. Cutter, this is now one of my favorites. ❤️My sunroom is long and narrow, and so I have moved everything around probably 10 times trying to get it right, and this seems to be working for me. This is a small glimpse of what I've been working on, life gets busy, and that's all I've really done to my house! Remember, as I tell all of my clients, make your home YOUR style, incorporate heirlooms and favorite objects in everything! It is so important to be surrounded by things that make our houses homes, objects that bring back memories, furry babies that make us smile, and most important family. I hope today, & every dayYOU are inspired!
