I was so alarmed by this, I started doing more research and digging into this case. I found that particular herbicide is called ‘Roundup’ and the key ingredient is ‘glyphosate’. The WHO has labelled glyphosate as a carcinogen and when mixed with other ingredients, it can be more toxic (Roundup). Roundup is probably the most popular weedkiller on the planet, and it’s a non-selective herbicide, which means it kills every plant. Since this was troublesome for farmers, Monsanto conveniently released genetically modified Roundup Ready plants, so farmers can spray EVERYTHING without killing their crops..

So technically, everything grown on non-organic/industrial farms is sprayed with this herbicide 😵 
This picture highlights how anyone can be fooled. This isn’t ‘vegetable’ oil, it is soybean oil. More than half of America is farmed with GMO (Roundup Ready) soybean and corn crops - so technically, this is GMO soybean oil, that also has roundup residue, and therefore carcinogenic... .

Fluffy VEGAN pancakes with creamy cashewtella and fresh berries.

This was Sunday's breakfast, so good! This recipe makes enough to serve 3-4 people so adjust the quantities if you need less 😊. Thanks  for modelling and resisting the temptation to dig into this stack long enough to get the shot 📸😂.

RECIPE;
• 2 cups plain flour.
• 2 tsp baking powder.
• pinch of cinnamon.
• 1 tbsp raw coconut.
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract.
• 1 banana.
• 2 tbsp ground flax + 5 tbsp water (aka. Flax egg; mix together and allow to sit for 5 mins).
• 2 tbsp coconut sugar.
• 200ml rice milk.
• 50ml sparkling water.

- Mix the flour, baking powder, coconut sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Blend or mash together the banana, flax egg, vanilla extract, raw coconut and rice milk.
- Pour the liquid into the dry mix and stir. - Add the sparkling water. Add more rice milk if the mix is too thick/more flour if the mix is too thin.
- Use a non-stick pan to shallow dry the pancakes one by one. .
For the cashewtella simply combine;
• 2 tbsp maple syrup
• 1 tbsp raw cacao powder.
• 2 tbsp cashew butter.
•  1/4 cup rice milk to get the mixture creamy.
Whisk until smooth.
Enjoy xx.

Posting a food picture after a long time. I believe in giving time to ourselves and taking a break from the regular everyday duties, especially for all the hard at work, swamped woman and on the go moms in this modern aggressive world. It is so essential to take a break whenever possible (even for a few hours in a week we need set aside a time to relax outdoors and revive) from the daily grind before we commence the rest of the day/week/year;  to start afresh and rejuvenate our minds. 
Well, in my opinion, after a wonderful summer vacation, one will definitely feel relaxed and re-energized. Definitely recommend one, a short weekend getaway also works, if that is your cup of tea.

Something I’d like to share is how I fuel my body post workout. Now today I did some cardio- and boy oh boy the sweat was for realsssss 😪 so when I was done ✅ I was ready for a snack. 
There are so so many myths and thoughts about snacking? I don’t encourage mindless eating! But fueling your body is essential!!!!!i said ESSENTIAL- it cannot be overlooked. Recipe makes 8 popsicles
2 cups fresh orange juices
1 cup coconut milk
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp pink pitaya powder I used @suncorefoods .
Add all of the ingredients into a h blender. Blend until completely smooth. Taste mixture for sweetness. Add more pure maple syrup if desired.
Spoon the stra mixture into popsicles molds. Use a spoon to tap down on the mixture to get out any air pockets. Place cover on mold and insert popsicle sticks into the center of each mold. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours, until completely.
To serve, run the outside of the popsicle mold under hot water for 10 to 15 seconds. Remove the cover and gently pull on the popsicle sticks. Popsicles should release easily. Enjoy!

🥟 Crispy roasted ravioli with creamy tomato filling 📷 by 🚨🚨Recipe: For the pasta dough:
200 g of flour
100 ml of water
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt

For the filling:
tomato sauce

instructions:
First combine flour and salt in a bowl and form a hollow in the middle.
Mix water and olive oil in another bowl. Then pour it into the hollow of the flour and stir with a fork.
Place the mixture on a floured surface and knead with wet hands to a smooth dough.
Then form a ball out of the dough, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for about 1 hour.
In the meantime, prepare the filling or pesto.
Remove the dough from the fridge and roll out thinly with a rolling pin on a floured surface.
Cut ravioli.
Then spread the filling with a teaspoon as a walnut-sized blob in the middle of half the amount of the ravioli .
Then moisten the edges of the stuffed ravioli with wet fingers. Carefully place the second ravioli over the filled ravioli and press the edges.
Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot and cook the ravioli for about 6-8 minutes.
Then remove the ravioli with a skimmer and drain well.

🆕 Escalloped Cabbage

SERVINGS:8 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 head Cabbage, Cut Into 6 Or 8 Wedges

2 TablespoonsButter, Plus More For Greasing The Pan

2 TablespoonsFlour

1-1/2 cup Milk

1 whole Container Cheez Wiz

Salt And Pepper, to taste

1 cup Grated Pepper Jack Cheese

1 whole Jalapeno Pepper, Sliced Into Rounds, Seeds Removed (optional)

Paprika For Sprinkling

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-inch-by-9-inch baking pan.

Bring a medium pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Parboil the wedges of cabbage for 1 – 2 minutes. Drain very well, slice off the cores, then arrange in the prepared baking dish.

In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for a minute or two. Whisk in the milk and cook until beginning to thicken. Turn off the heat and stir in the #CheezWiz. Sprinkle in salt and pepper, then stir in the grated pepper jack. Pour over the cabbage. Dot with the jalapeno slices, and sprinkle on some paprika. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Note: This makes a good amount of #cheesesauce so could be enough for more cabbage if desired. 🍲🍲🍲🍲🍲🍲

🆕 Escalloped Cabbage SERVINGS:8 Servings INGREDIENTS 1 head Cabbage, Cut Into 6 Or 8 Wedges 2 TablespoonsButter, Plus More For Greasing The Pan 2 TablespoonsFlour 1-1/2 cup Milk 1 whole Container Cheez Wiz Salt And Pepper, to taste 1 cup Grated Pepper Jack Cheese 1 whole Jalapeno Pepper, Sliced Into Rounds, Seeds Removed (optional) Paprika For Sprinkling INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-inch-by-9-inch baking pan. Bring a medium pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Parboil the wedges of cabbage for 1 – 2 minutes. Drain very well, slice off the cores, then arrange in the prepared baking dish. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for a minute or two. Whisk in the milk and cook until beginning to thicken. Turn off the heat and stir in the #CheezWiz . Sprinkle in salt and pepper, then stir in the grated pepper jack. Pour over the cabbage. Dot with the jalapeno slices, and sprinkle on some paprika. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
