It's that time again...time to plan the garden. .
If you're in zone 8, July is the time of year that we give the garden a break and plan for the cool season garden. .
I can grow a lot of the same things - like beans and cucumbers and carrots, and I'm even gonna give tomatoes another shot this fall. But I can also grow lettuces and cabbages and kale. .
We pulled out all the old beans and flowers and cucumbers and tomatoes (I'm working on propagating some new plants from them though - stay tuned for that experiment lol). .
All that gets to stay are carrots, potatoes, peppers, okra, and melons. .
I'm starting fresh next month with a new garden plan. If you want some help planning your next garden, be sure to check out my simple 5 step garden planning guide. (link in profile) .

🌿 SO! My seedlings are struggling a bit at the mo and are starting to become leggy - good lord I didn’t even know that was a thing until this week 😂 I’ve crafted this makeshift reflected to help get them some more light so the stop reaching towards the sun. Im also going to ‘run my fingers’ over them a few times a day to imitate the wind - apparently a bit of wind helps their trunks thicken out. Fingers crossed this works! 🌿👩🏼🌾
