Can't come all the way to Philly without getting a Vegan Philly Cheesesteak which was bomb, so were the habanero buffalo wings and the cheez wiz fries, I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area, thank you for the recommendation @vegan_fit_fam best cheesesteak I ever had in my life because it was no cholesterol, no cruelty and no animals had to be unnecessarily murdered to create this meal. When you know better you do better and in any case just be sure you are doing the best you can in any given situation...loving foods create a more loving life...I love you!!! #firstloveyou#eatvegan#veganfood#vegan#plantbased#vegancheesesteak#lovefood#foodlove#veganfoodporn#veganwings#veganfries
A little road trip to Philly means you gotta have a cheezesteak. And that means @blackbirdpizza 🍕we devoured our slices and were halfway into the Sweet & Spicy Wings before we thought about taking pics so you'll have to use your imagination. ✨Oh, but those wings ✨ #phillyvegan#vegancheesesteak#veganwings
I know I missed #tbt but hey I’m a rebel and just going to do it today instead (I know crazy right😬). This was from my trip to @tinyrebelbrewco in Cardiff and getting some of their bbq Seitan wings with @veganboo_ and @lamannings . I know they have had some changes in chefs recently so I haven’t paid them a visit in a while but I heard from the vegan vine that it’s back to it’s good old ways so maybe it’s needs another trip.
Rather than just making a quick rice bowl with steamed veg + legumes + sauce for dinner, for good or ill, I seem to be overly prone to complicating meals. I love simple vegan meals but always seem to find a culinary itch that needs immediate attention. Enter Sticky Sesame Cauliflower. This falls somewhere between cheap Chinese takeout and the divine. So insanely good. Salty, sweet, and crispy with a bit of a kick. Next time: hot sauce. Hello vegan buffalo wings.
Mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of oil, and 1 cup water plus more as needed to make a runny but thick batter. Separate the head of cauliflower into smallish florets, and chop the stems into bite-size chunks (no need to waste anything here). Dump everything together in a big bowl and stir until thoroughly coated. Put the coated cauliflower on a silpat/parchment-lined baking sheet or two. Bake at 425 Fahrenheit for 15 minutes, flip and bake again until crispy and fully cooked, about 15 minutes more depending on floret size.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan mix together 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil,
1/2 inch grated ginger, 2 cloves crushed garlic, 3 tablespoons maple syrup, 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons organic ketchup or tomato paste, 1 teaspoon Thai chili sauce. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly. When the cauli is done, toss in a large bowl with the sauce. Toss with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Make it for your partner: he or she will thank you. #houseofstarling
Tonight we had dinner at @streeteateryyyc . We had BBQ and hot wings, popcorn chicken, and the KFC stone bowl. All of the food was delicious 😋The BBQ wings were probably my favourite. Even though the food was delicious, the service left a lot to be desired. We never saw our server once after we got our food. 20 minutes after we finished eating, we ended up having to flag down another server in order to get our bill as our server wasn’t bothering to come anywhere near our side of the restaurant. Other patrons were having the same problem and the table next to us had to go get their own menus as the server was MIA. #yycvegan#vegansofig#vegan#vegansofinstagram#veganwings#veganpopcornchicken
BBQ cauliflower wings! WHY haven’t I made these before? This is the most amazing dish I’ve ever eaten!
1 Head of cauliflower
2 tsp Smoked paprika powder
1.5 tsp Garlic powder
2 dl Vegan unsweetened milk
1 dl Water
3 dl All purpose flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp White pepper
1 Bag of panko flakes
2dl Bbq sauce
2 tsp Olive oil
1 tsp Sriracha
Ingredients for Ranch dipping sauce:
1 dl Vegan mayo
0.5 dl Vegan unsweetened milk
0.5 tsp Garlic powder
A tiny bit of salt
1. Cut down your cauliflower head into bite sizes
2. Put the flour, water, milk, smoked paprika powder, garlic powder, white pepper and salt in a big bowl and blend until smooth.
3. Coat your cauliflower bites in the batter and roll them in the panko flakes.
4. Spread them out on a balkong sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Put them in the oven for 25 minutes on 175 °C
5. In a large bowl, mix together your bbq sauce, olive oil and sriracha. Add in your cauliflower and stir until evenly coated.
6. Put them back in the oven until brown and crispy! (This takes at least another 25 minutes)
7. Plate them and enjoy!
Ranch: mix together all ingredients in a bowl and serve! Easy right?
