These have been around for awhile, but I just tried them recently. I noticed the macros are very similar to Dr Praeger’s All American veggie patties. Which I really love, but only buy when Sprout’s has them on sale (Swipe to see macros & ingredients). . .
@traderjoes always has great prices, so this is a great swap! They’re #soyfree & #glutenfree making them a great high-protein option if you need to s kid those. People are often weary of “fake meats,” but the ingredients here are pretty wholesome. I wish they hadn’t added the caramel coloring, but otherwise like what I see! The flavor isn’t “beefy” like Beyond Meat or the Impossible Burger. It’s got more of a savory flavor and a light, crispy texture when you heat it up in a pan. 4/5 🍔 #veggieburger#veganburger
Choose not to be harmed and you won't feel harmed. Don't feel harmed and you haven't been. -Marcus Aurelius -
In other words, don't take things personally. If you don't feel hurt by someone else's actions or words, have you actually been hurt at all? -
Stay true to your beliefs, be confident in who you are. Unwavering. Live in that truth, and everything else will fall to the wayside.
Only allow love in your life, reject all else.
These were some of the oils that were introduced at convention. Power house oils that will be added to my daily routine. They will be available on October 1st.
You have the power to feel amazing with taking care of your body. Do it for you. Do it because you told yourself you would. I can’t wait to share with you all of this knowledge I am leaving with.
Happy first day of fall, everyone’s favorite season! Or at least mine 😄 Yesterday I got my hair done, had a wonderful dinner date with my mom, and left the house in real people clothes — not a bad way to send off summer 🍂 Bring on the pumpkin spice everything. I am here 👏 for 👏 it!
This week I made some of my new clients burn out on lunges after destroying their legs; the “lunge test” as my friend @newbreedfit put it when he killed me. 🔥🔥🔥
Felt like they hadn’t seen the wrath of my training yet, so it’s always great for me to push them to extreme limits, where your mind says “yes” but your body physically cannot do it. Ahhh the best feeling!! They all passed and it was hysterical for me to watch (sound on 📣!!)
. ‼️ Group slots now have some openings‼️
Need partners for my 6am, 7am, 1:30, and 3:30 groups. There are no longer one-on-one slots open, but my clients for group training are all amazing!!!!! Dm me if you’d like to come try a FREE session to see if it would be a good fit!!!!
Also, idk if you can tell but I fking LOVE my job. There is never a day that feels like work. I’m obsessed with all my clients and so thankful for them.

🌱 Don't forget to pack on those powerful micronutrients. Obviously there are many more and plenty more sources, but these are some main ones. Focus your nutrition around varied whole plant foods and you'll be providing your body with all its needs.
🥑Vitamin E: found in nuts, seeds, avocados, spinach, broccoli, mango, tomatoes, kiwi...
🌱Vitamin K: not well known but there are 2 versions- K1 found in leafy greens like spinach, kale, lettuce etc. K2 is found in fermented foods like sauerkraut, tempeh & kombocha. Luckily the body seems to convert k1 into k2.
🍞Iron is found in beans, lentils, wholegrains like oats, collards, greend, tofu...
Recently, I tried to recall the first time I heard about veganism. It wasn’t something I grew up with. I met a few vegetarians as a kid and understood that they didn’t eat meat, but I didn’t even hear the word “vegan” until much later in life. Even then I really didn’t understand the concept of a vegan lifestyle until I went to holistic health school. . .
It’s been almost 6 years now since I decided to make the transition. Although I will never go back, I cannot have any regrets about my life before because I truly didn’t know anything else. Going vegan was the complete opposite of my upbringing and what I learned about nutrition being in the fitness space at that time. I grew up hunting & fishing with my family and it was considered a skill. I didn’t know anything about factory farms, but for most of my young life I thought raising animals for food was necessary. . .
The reason I bring this up is because I still meet a lot of people who don’t really know what vegan means. Not here on IG where people are obviously searching for “vegan” when they find me, but in real life. The real world. Yet, I see other vegans using their platforms to claim the moral high-ground, when not so long ago, most of them didn’t know any better either. . .
First of all, going vegan doesn’t make you the moral barometer for the rest of society to aim for. Is it an ethical choice? Sure! It most certainly can be, but there are as many ways to be an asshole as there are to be a good person and no of us is the exception. Not eating animals is good, but if you’re using veganism as a means to knock down others, you’ve completely missed the point. . .
You might get more praise preaching to the choir, but you don’t create much change that way. Change in this case means saving lives - animals & people. So I think it’s worth considering even if the it’s not as appealing at first. If you really want to make an impact you need to find a way to reach the people who aren’t vegan. Not just reach them, but reach out to them. Because if you don’t have compassion for them, how are you going to tell them to have compassion for animals? 📸 @morgancarrphotography

At Dream Convention with my dream. Too mushy? 😜
We visited the product store today. It’s a place all of their products are showcased in a practical way. So Manny washed his face with one of their face wash. Lol. All the oils are showcased and available to smell or apply. Manny went straight to Melissa and poured it on him 😂 Melissa Oil is the priciest oil. This is so much fun! Definitely recommend to join me next year. You can come as a wellness advocate or as a customer. It’s just a place to learn more.
Love it! It’s important to surround yourself with people who empower you and help you grow in whatever area of life that you want to grow in. Lucky for you if you find people or even a guru to be around to help uplift your spirit and help you recognize “your” true purpose in life.
Day 2 of DōTERRA Dream Convention! I am learning so much. Convention is a place to learn about what essential oils can do based on research, are study and it’s chemistry. So you know I’m all into this. 😍
Do you work out with your significant other?? Do you train better alone or with someone else??
I personally like working out with someone else, butttt when I’m on prep I get in the zone and only like doing my workouts alone 😬 .
Happy Friday everyone!! Almost the weekend!!!!
RP: @functional.foods “Junk food vegan” vs. “Whole foods vegan.” Just like with the term “gluten-free,” just because something is labeled “vegan,” does not mean it is a healthy choice.
Let me start by saying that while it is okay to have a vegan cookie or some of these other processed vegan snacks from time to time, they should not make up the foundation of a vegan diet.
When many people make the transition to a vegan diet, they often say that it’s really expensive. Many people fall into trouble because they don’t know how to cook from scratch and rely on many of the processed vegan food like products, which are commonly expensive.
If you look at the research on the health benefits of a vegan diet, the research is not based on soy imitation meats or processed grain and sugar laden sweet treats. Oreos, a Coke, and French fries are all vegan just as sweet potato, broccoli, and blueberries are.
A true vegan diet celebrates nutrient-dense whole foods that are made up of whole fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and herbs.
What’s so great about a whole food, vegan diet is that it provides an abundance of fiber, diversity, and beneficial phytochemicals which are found exclusively in plants and are ideal for optimal health.
These bioactive phytochemicals are what give these fruits and vegetables their bright pigment and flavor, and are apart of the plants defense system.
The more phytochemicals we consume, the better our body is able to combat oxidative stress, decrease inflammation, and protect our gut.
While not everyone thrives on a strict vegan diet, one thing that can be agreed upon by all health practitioners is that you can't eat enough vegetables, and we need a lot more of them. So go crazy on the veggies my friends, no matter if you’re an omnivore, vegetarian, or vegan.
Belly full of Acai, heart full of Love 💛. So I eventually left Colombia (after 2 missed flights 😅) but quickly made a stop in the Bay where my family @Bounce_SF let me lead a workout like old times and I was so warmed to see a lot of familiar and new faces- we couldn’t all fit in 1 boomerang ➡️ 💪🏽. This was after my company hosted a summit that brought together 600 Black Women globally. It was a good trip.
Why do you workout?
People train for different reasons, however the root main reason is always the same one: because we feel better and expect a positive outcome!
Personally I train because, mentally, it makes me feel better about myself, and physically speaking because I like having my bits firmed and toned 😜I enjoy the rewarding feeling of seeing the changes happening as it means that my work and commitment are paying off. Above all, for me is about feeling strong and in control of sculpting and shaping my body as I like it 💪🏽
If you are new to training don't feel overwhelmed - we all start from scratch. Keep consistent, do the right stuff (crucial point) and enjoy the journey. Think of fitness not only as a way of achieving any specific goals you may set for yourself, but also as a part of your lifestyle and a way of living while becoming better, healthier, stronger and happier! ☄🤙🏽🌱
#throwbackthursday because do you ever do something and then look back and think “Holy shit I really did that?!??”
Last year when I decided to start competing, I never knew where it would take me. I didn’t expect to be hooked or fall in love with the sport. I just wanted to be better.
Last fall was freaking incredible for me. I landed a spread in a magazine, competed and placed in two competitions, and was the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. On cloud 9! ☁️
Since these moments, I’ve been wanting to grind my ass off and keep getting better and better. Right now I am the busiest I’ve ever been with my business, and I couldn’t be more thankful.
Last fall was the fuel I needed for my fire. I am so motivated and excited for where life is taking me and my business. I just want to help people and I’m finding more outlets to do so. .

💪🏼🤔How do you build bigger arms?
Probably one of my most frequently asked questions! Well there are many ways to build arms but here are a few basics:
1. Train them 2-4x per week
2. The primary exercises should always include heavy lifting and a 8-10 rep range
3. The secondary exercises should focus on isolating the bis or tris and be in the 10-15 rep range
4. Periodize your arm training techniques to avoid plateaus
I’ve finally put together my ARM BUILDING program for those who want to build some sleeve splitting arms. It’s currently only available via @veganfitnesscom as an optional add on to our full 8 week challenge.
Enrollment for the challenge closes on Sunday so be sure to secure your spot! Link is in my bio!
Well that was a nice 20 minutes of summer..😭
Well at least it's back to #bulking 🕺
But that don't mean it's time to stuff your face with food until you can't see.
Here's a few tips to help with your bulk:
-Stick to a Small Calorie Surplus:
Aim for a 250 calorie surplus a day at the start of your bulk and slowing increase from there as you see fit. If you are gaining more than 1 lb of body weight a week you are probably just getting fat.
-Eat Plenty of Protein to Bulk Up:
Aim for at least your body weight in grams per day.
Eat your calories around your workout window. For example a 180 lb guy should be eating a 600 calorie meal before his workout and a 500 call meal after his workout. Then the rest of the days meals should be made up of smaller 250-300 cal meals.
-Do Cardio While You Bulk:
Just because your bulking don't mean you should give your heart a rest. That's a muscle too remember. Doing cardio will help with muscular endurance and stamina which translates to better training sessions, more gains and less bodyfat.

Second picture is of my beautiful friend who was recognized as blue diamond 💎 This means thousands of people were introduced to the power of essential oils through her, just one person. She’s a hard worker and her hard work was recognized last night. It was her blue diamond award I was holding lol. I gave it back 😂
