Lupine is een plant waarvan de zaden gegeten kunnen worden. Deze zaden behoren tot de peulvruchtfamilie en bestaan voor 44 procent uit eiwitten. Lupine is daarmee het meest eiwitrijke gewas op de wereld. Nog een voordeel: lupine bevat alle essentiële aminozuren! 
De voordelen van Lupine
* Het bevat alle essentiële aminozuren, cysteïne en methionine, wel in een lage dosering. Het aminozuur dat er het meest in voorkomt is glutamine. Dit is belangrijk voor ons zuur/base evenwicht, onze energie aanmaak in spieren, de opbouw van onze darmslijmvliezen etc.

It has been a busy week with the 2 day summit I was lucky to be a part of; I'm glad to get back to a routine though. Late breakfast today after the barbershop. Made some chocolate coffee infused oats topped with banana, almond butter, and shredded coconut. These were decadent and filling! 🇧🇷 - Existem dias e dias. Tem dia que eu saio pra treinar e tudo encaixa, o treino sai lindo. Tem dia que eu saio pra treinar e não consigo correr 10min, com dor ou muito cansada. E isso se chama vida. Por que tudo tem altos e baixos e a gente não pode esperar estar bem o tempo todo, e colocar essa pressão na gente só faz a situação ficar pior. Não deu hoje? Tudo bem. Respira. Descansa o corpo e a mente, e amanhã tenta de novo. Ninguém disse que ia ser fácil, mas é gratificante ver quanta força a gente tem dentro da gente.

🇨🇦 - We have good days and bad days. Some days I go out for a training session feeling great and the training goes as planned. And then in other days I can’t even run 10min because I am exhausted. And that is life. Everything has it’s up’s and down’s and we can’t expect to be on our best 100% of the time. Couldn’t do your training today? Take a deep breath. Rest your mind and your body. And tomorrow we try again.No one said it was going to be easy, but it is so amazing to see how much strength we have inside us.

I burned 600 calories at the gym doing 15 min of cardio and the rest weights 😳 I was always a cardio girl but I want to try to lost weight through strength training. I love Christmas & have been battling the flu or some awful cold, so I need all of the vitamin C that I can get! Okay make this smoothie!

1 frozen banana
1 orange (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup vanilla cashew milk
1 date
1 tsp vanilla extra 
1/2 cup ice (optional)
Optional- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I used vegan vanilla from @kaizencanada)
Blend on high and top with vegan chocolate sauce! 🍊 🍫.

The Two main reasons I drink Coconut Oil Coffee ☕️

1. INCREASED ENERGY
Coffee usually just make you feel happier, and due to its stimulating properties, the caffeine gives you a pretty fast energy boost, while also creates a mental stimulation by blocking inhibitory neurotransmitters.

When you add in Coconut oil, it provides a boost of energy in a different way.

Coconut Oil is made up of MCT’s (Medium Chain Triglycerides), which are more rapidly absorbed by the body and are quickly metabolized as fuel (not stored as fat).

2. ASSISTS IN WEIGHT LOSS
For the most part, weight loss is all about ENERGY BALANCE. Calories in, calories out.

So if we can reduce our appetite, we can take in fewer calories, which is the effect that both coffee and coconut oil can have. It’ll assist with weight loss due to its satiating fat and consuming the oil helps to decrease appetite.

Essa é  minha primeira refeição do dia, mesmo que seja tardiamente. As vezes acordo e vou direto pra minha prática de yoga, em jejum, então acabo fazendo minha refeição matinal muito perto do horário do almoço.  Mas acho ela tão importante e vital que não pulo nunca, prefiro pular o almoço se for o caso. E muitas vezes pulo, porque este smothie é  muuuuito nutritivo e saciador. Quando a gente se alimenta com qualidade e riqueza nutricional não  sentimos fome. Se seu café da manhã é nutricionalmente pobre, de carboidrato vazio, o famoso pão com café, vc certamente vai estar faminto na hora do almoço. Seu corpo entende que esta desnutrido e vai pedir mais.

Made the thickest oats ever for breakfast the other day - soaked them overnight with maca powder, soya milk, flax & chia seeds, chopped pecans, frozen blueberries and raisins, then cooked them up in the morning with more milk/water and topped with more pecans which I toasted in a pan for a couple mins, more frozen blueberries and maple syrup post-photo🥣

Went to visit a really dear friend in hospital yesterday who is having a very scary time with her health right now, which was lovely but also so emotional and shocking to see someone I care about so weak and confused.
The last time I visited anyone in a hospital was quite a long time ago, so I had also completely forgotten what a different world it is. It hit me so hard how precious your health and freedom is, in terms of literally having the good fortune of a body which can move and walk wherever you want it to and wash itself and go to the toilet and put clothes on without assistance, though this health is fragile and sometimes unexpected things happen, which is scary but often uncontrollable. There were people (elderly) on her ward who may never experience this freedom ever again😞
It really made everything pale into insignificance! Like I’m complaining about having to cycle to babysitting after dance today, meaning I won’t get home until late before work early tomorrow, but at least I CAN and have the option to go where I want and work and I’m not literally stuck in bed hooked up to a machine!!!
Anyway sorry for the ramble, just some food for thought x

When you are looking for on-the-go energy, protein balls and energy balls are now all the rage. With our recipe below you can make your own delicious snacks that you can take with you and enjoy just about anywhere.

The ingredients list below should provide enough to make 8-10 protein balls and better still, there is no cooking required.

Ingredients required to make delicious chocolate and peanut butter protein balls

1 scoop of Chocolate Vegan Complete Protein
50g/½ cup rolled oats
3 tbsp peanut butter
½ tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tbsp flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seed
1 tbsp agave sweetener or maple syrup
1-2 tbsp non-dairy milk

Instructions

Place all of the ingredients into a bowl, then mix together really well.
You may need to add a little more non-dairy milk if your choice of peanut butter is a little dry - you should be able to easily squeeze the mixture into balls.
Try to divide the mixture into equal amounts to make around 8-10 balls.
Take each amount and slowly roll it around in your hands until you have created the size/shape you prefer.
Store in an airtight container for 5-7 days preferably in the fridge, until ready to use
Depending upon your choice of ingredients, each batch should provide in excess of 50g of vegan protein and around 600-700 calories (PLEASE NOTE: This can vary dramatically if you choose higher calorie ingredients).

Every morning after hydrating, I make my protein smoothie. This is my recipe and I swear by it! I’m satisfied for the entire morning, I know what it is doing for my health and it’s great before a workout. 
Here’s the recipe for you:
- 2 scoops of Arbonne Vegan Protein - 1 scoop of Arbonne Fibre
- 1 scoop of collagen
- 1 tsp of Maca
- 1 tsp of Tumeric
- 1/4 avocado

This is by far one of my new favorite recipes!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cauliflower heads
Oat flour (ground up raw oats)
5 oranges
Maple syrup
Tehina
Green onions
Ginger powder
Garlic powder
Chili powder
Salt

Method:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Cut cauliflower into large bite size florets.
Juice and zest all 5 oranges.
In a cup, mix 4 tbsp of tehina, 1/3 cup of orange juice, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tbsp orange zest, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp chili flakes and salt.
Dip cauliflower into the wet mixture and sprinkle the top of the floret with oat flour.
Place cauliflower in one even layer on a  pan over parchiament paper.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.

While the cauliflower is roasting, whisk together the remainder orange juice, orange zest, 1/3 cup of maple syrup, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp chili flakes.

Put mixture in a pan over a high flame and let the mixture reduce for ten minutes into a syrup like consistency.

Once the cauliflower is out of the oven (the cauliflower will still taste bland at this point so don't panic), add the cauliflower to the sauce and stir to coat well.

Add salt
.
Sprinkle with green onions and serve over brown rice.

It truly feels like I am living in a winter wonderland this morning.

Here in Toronto we had our first lasting snowfall of the season. The city is covered by a blanket of white fluff, and snowflakes as big as cotton balls are still dancing down from the sky. 
I spent my morning snuggled up with a warm cup of coffee, a cozy blanket, and a book (currently rereading Osho’s Love Letters To Life), and watched the snow continue to fall outside my bedroom window.

There is something so peaceful about snow, so pure. The first snowfall never fails to bring about a nostalgic sense of calm. My dad and pulled out our winter boots from the depths of the closet and shovelled the driveway together like we did when I was a kid. It was a perfectly Canadian morning.

This #paleo #seedbread was the perfect protein-packed snack for our post-shovelling adventures!

Sift together:
1 1/4 cup almond flour + 2 scoops @profiprohealth protein boost + 1/2 tsp salt + 1tbsp pumpkin pie spice + 3 tbsp tapioca flour + 1/4 cup ground chia + 1 tsp baking soda
In another bowl mix:
1/3 cup coconut oil + 1 tsp apple cider vinegar + 2 flax eggs
Mix wet & dry ingredients together and add your favourite seeds & dried fruit, then bake at 350 for 25 minutes!

As I don’t like protein shakes (that are optional anyway) I made these vegan protein balls with leftover almond butter in my vitamix. Got this great tip from @gkstories !! So after making almond butter I leave a little bit in my vitamix and use it for my energy balls.✨

Da ich Protein-Shakes noch nie so richtig mochte (sind sowieso kein muss) habe ich proteinreiche Energy Balls als Sport-Snack kreirt. Immer wenn ich Mandelmus mache, verwende ich den Rest im Behälter gleich weiter für die Energy Balls. Dieser tolle Tipp ist übrigens von @gkstories .

Nido di carote con cuore cremoso di cicerchie, scalogno e carote con fiocchi di nocciole.
Come vi ho comunicato più volte le mie ricette nascono spesso da idee in corso d'opera. Inizio a preparare e poi compongo. Questo piatto che mi ha emozionato e conquistato per il suo sapore particolare. Il gusto dolce delle carote è cicerchie ben equilibrato dalle spezie e le nocciole creano un equilibrio perfetto.
Ho spiralizzato le carote. Ho cotto le cicerchie decorticate in pentola a pressione, precedentemente messe in ammollo, ho aggiunto della curcuma,lo zenzero, dello scalogno, e le carote avanzate dallo sporalaizer. Ho poi composto il piatto formando il nido con le carote spiralizzate, dato forma al cuore con la crema di  cicerchie( cotte e ammorbidite e amalgamate con le carote e lo scalogno) , ho quindi frullato delle nocciole(anche queste messe in ammollo per eliminare l'acido fitico) che ho aggiunto alla preparazione.

Nido di carote con cuore cremoso di cicerchie, scalogno e carote con fiocchi di nocciole. Come vi ho comunicato più volte le mie ricette nascono spesso da idee in corso d'opera. Inizio a preparare e poi compongo. Questo piatto che mi ha emozionato e conquistato per il suo sapore particolare. Il gusto dolce delle carote è cicerchie ben equilibrato dalle spezie e le nocciole creano un equilibrio perfetto. Ho spiralizzato le carote. Ho cotto le cicerchie decorticate in pentola a pressione, precedentemente messe in ammollo, ho aggiunto della curcuma,lo zenzero, dello scalogno, e le carote avanzate dallo sporalaizer. Ho poi composto il piatto formando il nido con le carote spiralizzate, dato forma al cuore con la crema di cicerchie( cotte e ammorbidite e amalgamate con le carote e lo scalogno) , ho quindi frullato delle nocciole(anche queste messe in ammollo per eliminare l'acido fitico) che ho aggiunto alla preparazione. Having a good mix of nutrients is the best way to ensure your body is fuelled to the maximum. -
Steer away from supplements or meal replacements. Social media is filled up with adverts trying to sell you man made nonsense that you just don’t need! -
No food magically burns 🔥 FAT! -
No BCAA supplement actually does anything to protect your muscles! 👎 -
Stop ✋ wasting your time and money on this relentless poppy cock! -
Consistently under taking physical activity! ✅ -
Fruits, vegetables, meats, fish or beans and pulses, wholesome and unrefined and unprocessed foods are what you need! ✅ -
Plenty of rest & sleep! 💤 -
Keep hydrated! 💦 -
I use whey protein or vegan protein powder if real food is not available or I am super busy! 🏃‍♂️ -
Often I’ll make a shake from oats with whey and making some fruit! 🍉 -
I also do add protein powder to some meal to top my protein up but that’s it! -
NOT as a meal replacement! -
Real food all the way! -
