the meat, dairy, and egg industries embody an inherently flawed system rooted in culture and tradition that thrive on public doubt. the companies are inherently flawed because they market off of murder. there is no logical explanation for why they should succeed in selling their products. it goes against our biological intuition to demonstrate compassion. we flinch when we witness roadkill, we intervene if one were to hunt a lion or zebra. most people can’t even bear to watch a footage of a slaughterhouse for they love animals too much (oh the irony🙄). but by some sickening miracle, these companies flourish because of the story that has been passed down from generation to generation: we need protein from meat, calcium from milk, and omega-3 from eggs. from the moment of birth, we have been told that we should play with 🐶 + 🐱, but eat 🐣 +🐮 + 🐷 + 🐟. the story is perpetuated to this day because this type of murder is not only government sanctioned, but government funded. the secrets they so heavily suppressed are just beginning to surface because they designed a tactic so cunning it protects them even if a few raise questions or disagree: they introduced doubt. if you disguise cold hard lies by covering them in confusion, those who discover the truth will be seen as merely one (disbelieved) side of the controversial debate, rather than heroes. and that may be the most heartbreaking, disturbing part of it all.

I just booked my first nights in Denpensar Bali and things are getting real 😍✈️ On a related note: I know that working out while traveling can be challenging especially when you’re in a more isolated region of the country. Access to gyms can be hard and even very expensive from my own experience. 😩Obviously I’m a bit afraid of loosing some progress during my one year travel but the last couple of weeks I started incorporating more calisthenics and body weight exercises to experiment how they feel. So here’s a rough workout routine inspiration for when you’re on vacation/ traveling or for everyone who has no access to a gym:
💦Running (as far and as fast as you desire and as your stamina allows you to)
💦walking a lot as a side effect of visiting towns/walking by the beach, etc
💦short but sweet 15 Minute ab workouts (15 different exercises for a minute each without rest in between)
💦resistant band workouts for the lower body (such as squats, kick backs, single leg glute bridges, side steps, jumping jacks, etc)
💦push ups/pull ups/planks for the upper body
Obviously I don’t do everything in one workout but I like to warm up with a run and then focus on either abs/upper or lower body. Everything you need is a good pair of running shoes (!), a yoga mat (optional) or a soft surface, resistance bands (optional) and maybe even a heavy backpack to put on whilst squatting and stuff (we have to get creative here 😛)
Hope this gave you some #workoutinspiration
Veganism, the plant-based diet which shuns meat and dairy, is having its time in the sun. Since 2008, there has been a 350% increase in the number of self-described vegans in the UK alone. Where this motivation stems from is varied, but includes concerns about animal welfare, worries about the environment and religious reasons.
The first thing that someone starting a vegan diet might notice is an energy boost with the removal of the processed meat that is found in many omnivorous diets, in favour of fruit, vegetables and nuts. These foods will boost your vitamin, mineral and fibre levels and thinking ahead about your meals and snacks rather than relying on convenience foods can help sustain consistent energy levels.
Several months into a vegan diet and some people may find that the increase in fruit and vegetables and reduced processed food can help acne to clear up. By this point however, your stores of vitamin D might be dropping as key sources of it in our diet come from meat, fish and dairy, and it isn't always noticeable until it's too late. Vitamin D isn't well understood but it's essential in keeping bones, teeth and muscles healthy and deficiency has been linked with cancer, heart disease, migraines and depression.
When contemplating the years ahead on a vegan diet, balance is key. Well-balanced vegan diets may have major health benefits. Many of those benefits can be offset by deficiencies if the diet isn't managed carefully, but supermarkets and food outlets are making it easier than ever to enjoy a varied and exciting vegan diet and our appetite for meat overall is declining. With the right preparation, a vegan diet can be good for human health.

I can confirm that French's Fish Shop in Wells-Next-the-Sea do a cracking vegan lunch 👍 Linda McCartney sausages in a vegan friendly batter 🤤 I've missed these! They do use palm oil though which I know is a big no-no for a lot of people, just to make you aware if you're planning on visiting.
