🌱200 g Tempeh
🌱3 große, reife Tomaten
🌱frischer Basilikum
🌱3 EL Olivenöl
🌱2 EL Balsamicoessig

➡ Tempeh und Tomaten in Scheiben schneiden und mit Basilikum anrichten ➡ mit Öl,Essig und den Gewürzen beträufeln und 15 Minuten ziehen lassen

Looking to get a little leaner? Here are a few tips that I live by when I want to shift some body fat in a healthy, sustainable way.

1) Diversify your training with a mixture of weights and cardio. For fat loss I’ll focus on intensity and volume during weight sessions. This means maximising the amount of reps you complete during a session and minimising rest periods to 30-45secs (depending on fitness level). There’s no magic formula, but i find that 5 sets of 10-15 reps of an exercise works well which I’ll often combine with a superset e.g. 5x12 Incline DB Press with a superset of 5x10 push ups. This volume of training will help you build muscle which actually increases your metabolism to help burn more fat naturally. For cardio I swear by HIIT. You burn the most calories through running, so the treadmill is best. I’ll often add 7-12 rounds of HIIT on to the end of a weight session, it’s over quickly (10-15 mins) so you’ll be done in no time. 
2) Gain a rough understanding on your nutritional needs. How many calories do should you eat to lose weight? How much protein, carbs and fats are ideal for you to reach your goals? If you’re not sure about the answers then you’ll be guessing and probably not making progress. I’ve written a short, simple eBook on this which you can download for free (link in my bio). 3) Hydrate. One of the best habits I’ve formed is downing a glass of water when I wake up and drinking around 8 big cups per day. It curbs your hunger, keeps you energised (being dehydrated makes you tired 😴) 4) Aim to eat as clean as possible. By that I mean limiting processed foods, foods with refined sugar (this includes bread, pasta and other non whole foods that people have come to know as ‘staples’ in their diet.) Instead, go for a whole food plant based diet. Your energy will soar, your recovery will be magnified and your weight will be a lot more manageable. You can still treat yourself though!

One mistake people make when trying to lose weight is being fixated on calorie counting rather than nutrients. A handful of nuts is processed differently in the body in comparison to a scoop of ice cream despite it perhaps being the same about of calories.

The hormonal response is different. A body that is fueled by nutrients is the one who will run optimally and more likely be at their healthy weight.  I talk about being undernourished a lot because I see it. We are overfed but undernourished. Count NUTRIENTS if you must count anything.

The researchers found that intrahepatic triglyceride, a marker of fatty liver disease, increased by 55 percent in the saturated fat group. By comparison, the increase was only 15 percent for the unsaturated fat group, and 33 percent in the sugar sample.

Did you know that $1 trillion per year is spent in healthcare responding to mental health-associated situations and ailments? These can include heart disease, cancer, lung issues, cirrhoses and suicide, which are all linked to chronic stress according to the American Psychological Association. Stress also plays quite the role in immunity, such as decreased levels of killer T cells and increased catecholamines, which fits into this equation between stress and disease. 
What can you do!?
There has been some evidence to support a strong connection between the heart and the brain. Being aware of emotions and positive thinking has the ability to impact heart rhythm patterns and improve heart rate variability, which makes it easier for individuals to adapt, and leads to overall better health.
Mindful thinking and meditation can improve heart rate variability and generally reduce stress. Other methods of reducing stress can include solution-focused methods, such as time management and planning ahead, as well as exercising and many different breathing techniques. 
However,  it is important to note that we are all uniques, so it may take some time to find the most effective way to cope for you and your lifestyle. 👍🏻

A strange but delish dinner - trying to clear out the freezer before I move house on Saturday! 😁

Homemade lasagna from aaaaall ago (no idea on syns, will estimate 6 for oil, cheese and flour), @quorn_uk vegan Cumberland (2syns), spinach (speed), sweetcorn and peas (both free). I also had a cracker earlier for 1syn and a rice cake for 4.5syns. I think that puts me slightly over my syns for the day, buuuut it's a weigh-day treat plus I ran 5 miles today (and it avoids wasting some lovely food!)

🌿MI COMIDA🌿
Hoy he preparado en casa de mis abuelos una paella de verduras. Y como buena mallorquina, a mi abuela le encanta la sobrasada, por lo que le picaba michisimo la curiosidad de saber a qué sabría la sobrasada vegana.
🌱El resultado ha sido más que positivo. No solo a mi abuela le ha encantado, sino que mi abuelo se ha asegurado de que hubiera apuntado la receta.
🌙🌿La receta de la sobrasada vegana es un poco diferente a mi original. Creo que con esta el sabor se acerca aún más. Necesitamos: 🌱12 tomates secos + 2-3 cdita. de aceite de oliva + 70g de almendras hervidas durante 30' o remojadas durante 8 horas + 25g semillas de calabaza + 1 cdita. de pimentón dulce y 1/2 cdita. de pimentón picante. Pimienta y sal.
🌱Trituramos todo muy bien hasta tener una pasta relativamente homogenea. Conservar en la nevera hasta 1-2 semanas.
🌙🌿Para hacer la paella simplemente elegimos verduras, las pochamos con cebolla y ajo y añadimos tomate triturado. Le añadimos el condumento de paellas y caldo hasta cubrir el borde. Echamos la cantidad de arroz que queramos. Un truco que me dieron para eso es crear una diagonal que sobresalga un poco con el arroz de punta a punta de la paella para obtener la cantidad exacta. Dejamos que absorba bien el agua

Necesitamos: 🌱12 tomates secos + 2-3 cdita. de aceite de oliva + 70g de almendras hervidas durante 30' o remojadas durante 8 horas + 25g semillas de calabaza + 1 cdita. de pimentón dulce y 1/2 cdita. de pimentón picante. Pimienta y sal. 🌱Trituramos todo muy bien hasta tener una pasta relativamente homogenea. Conservar en la nevera hasta 1-2 semanas. 🌙🌿Para hacer la paella simplemente elegimos verduras, las pochamos con cebolla y ajo y añadimos tomate triturado. Le añadimos el condumento de paellas y caldo hasta cubrir el borde. Echamos la cantidad de arroz que queramos. Un truco que me dieron para eso es crear una diagonal que sobresalga un poco con el arroz de punta a punta de la paella para obtener la cantidad exacta. If you want to reduce your calories for this, nix the extra slice of bread and peanut butter on top as well as only use a half of a small banana. If you want to add more, keep the extra slice and peanut butter and pair it with a small protein smoothie.

Leer las etiquetas con tantos aditivos es un reto en estos tiempos 🙃, pero si sabemos en que fijarnos seremos unos expertos en cuestión de días.

Por ley los ingredientes deben colocarse de mayor a menor, entonces si ves que entre los primeros hay ingredientes de origen animal definitivamente no es vegano. 👁 Ojo si el primer ingrediente es azúcar o algo similar,  también deberías evitarlo.

Aunque haya ingredientes que sabemos de forma obvia que provienen de origen animal, ha algunos que probablemente no imaginabas que lo son, como la vitamina D3, que se extrae de la lanolina (el aceite de la lana de oveja o del aceite de hígado de pescado) otro ejemplo es el colorante E120 o carmín que se obtiene machacando un tipo de insectos.

Otra cosa importante es que entre menos ingredientes tenga,  es más natural el producto lo que lo hace más saludable 🌱.

Got my blood drawn for a doctor visit and it showed I’m very low in vitamin D and B12.
I’ve always been low in these but when I’d take supplements it never helped the levels so I stopped taking anything. 🙄
Turns out that if you have a deficiency, you need to take much higher than the recommended daily dose to make up for you being abnormally low. 🤔
So my thoughtful mom sent these over to me from Amazon to take daily. 😊
They are vegan, non-gmo, gluten-free, etc. 🙌🏻
They offer different kinds for all different needs! 👍🏻
