Veganism is a secret that everyone should know about, you have more energy, you save the planet one person at a time, you have no joint pains, no gout, no cholesterol, no heart related diseases, no diabetes, no cancer, yet no one listens or takes the time to figure this stuff out... 😔
Why does no one think about the animal that is on your plate. That animal that you are about to eat also wanted to live, also wanted to feel loved, also would have liked to keep their children that are taken away from them (yes, they forcefully inject female cows to impregnate them so that they can produce milk, just like a human does)
Why eat another species that had to suffer with no voice, that does feel pain, just so we can have 5 minutes of pleasure for the taste of it. It is unnatural for humans to eat other species, we do not have the stomach acid or teeth like a lion.
Yes that is correct, animal agriculture is the worlds leading contributer to global warming and the extinction of our planets animals, not all this "take less showers to save water" doodie.
A cow can consume up to 1100 litres of water per day...

Fluffy yellow babies travel on conveyor belts at hatcheries dotted across the UK, half to their death, the other half to egg farms.
The males are immediately discarded and either gassed or thrown into macerating machines, which kill instantly.
All this while the public is indoctrinated with ‘happy’ animals on bright green pastures that listen to classical music and shit rainbows. Wake up! It’s time to put an end to this!
Do these look like ‘happy eggs’ to you? Please don't support the needless breeding, exploitation and death of sentient beings. If you're vegetarian, this is what you're supporting too. Please go vegan 👌😉🌱💚
🛑 STANDARD INDUSTRY APPROVED PRACTICES 🛑 .
Meat, dairy and eggs begin with the killing of little babies. Piglets who become sick in their filthy living conditions or who simple are not growing quickly enough to be profitable are either put into gassing boxes and painfully gassed to death with carbon dioxide or they are killed by blunt force trauma, lifted by their hind legs and slammed head first into concrete floors, left convulsing, slowly dying in agony. Male chicks in the egg industry are waste products because they will never produce eggs and will not grow fast enough for meat to be profitable, so they are either dropped into grinding machines and ground up alive or are thrown into garbage bags and suffocated, at just a day old. Male calves are also waste products, because they will never produce milk these babies are ripped from their mothers' side and are either killed immediately or sold to veal farmers. Sometimes at auction, barely able to stand and many with their umbilical cords still attached. They will spend the next 4-6 months in veal crates purposely designed to be so small that they are denied exercise and normal muscle growth so their meat will be tender. They are then hoisted upside down, commonly while conscious (as seen here) and their throats are cut. This baby isn't even dead before they start dismembering him. This is why vegetarian is not enough. Vegetarianism should only ever be a bus stop to Veganism. Don't pay for this. Please.
“We evolved from beings who killed & ate animals”, but why are we basing our morality on the actions of our ancestors, primitive beings that had no perception of modern day morality & did entirely unethical things such as murder & rape without consequence? Basing your ethics on cavemen is not going to take you very far.
It is common knowledge & widely accepted that we evolved from primates who survived on a diet comprised predominantly of fruits, nuts, leaves & the occasional insects, but our diets have changed & evolved as the environments we’ve lived in have too. There was a time when treating a woman as less than a man was all we’d ever done; would that make treating a woman as less than a man morally acceptable today? If non-vegans really want to live like our ancestors, then they would eat a predominantly vegan diet. They would also sleep outside, not use technology, & speak in primitive underdeveloped languages.
Whether or not eating meat helped us has no relevance to our society today as our brains are not developing every time we eat a chicken burger or steak. Eating animal products is a hinderance to our health & cannot be considered helpful to the evolution of our species. Most scientists agree that it wasn’t meat, but the fact that we began to eat cooked starchy foods, that made our brains evolve. This would explain why we’re the smartest animals & the only animals that cook, while other more carnivorous animals like cats are scientifically less intelligent. The hypothesis is that cooking allowed humans to get more energy from the same amount of food, & to spend less time chewing, which meant this extra energy helped fuel brain growth.
Eating animals helped us survive through times of food scarcity but just as the very foundations of much of our society was built upon slavery doesn’t justify slavery in today’s world, the fact that eating animals helped us get to this point or helped us survive in the past, doesn’t justify eating animals in today’s world. We no longer need to eat animals & in doing so we are shortening our lifespan, destroying our planet & causing unimaginable amounts of unnecessary harm to innocent, living beings.
The circle of life concept refers to two moments in our existence: our birth & our death. Anything that happens within those moments in time is completely irrelevant, & outside the jurisdiction of the #CircleOfLife
Animal Agriculture has nothing to do with the circle of life, in fact it is the circle of torture & death. What happens to these animals is so far from the natural order that we would see in the wild. When we buy animals products, we aren’t fulfilling some natural order because the products we’re purchasing come from a system that is entirely man-made & separate from the natural world.
This excuse is used by non-vegans who are trying to declare that humans are entitled to kill animals because of a pre-ordained natural order that is out of our control. They are essentially arguing that just because everything that lives must die, it therefore means we are morally justified to intentionally take life. This would theoretically mean then that we are justified to take any life that we want, in any manner that we choose because after all, it is the circle of life. So, by the logic that we are morally justified to slaughter animals because all life dies anyway, would it therefore be acceptable for us to slit the throat of a cat or a dog? How about another human? Wouldn’t that be morally excused as well? If we are to subscribe to the logic of this excuse then murder would not be a punishable offence because death is inevitable & for that very reason it is acceptable to take the life of anyone we wish.
When we hear about a shark or a crocodile killing a human we don’t sit back & say, “oh well, it’s the circle of life”. No, we get angry & we send hunters or fishermen to try & kill the animal in acts of vengeance & justice.
All these things defy any notion of the Circle of Life, because the Circle of Life claims that what we’re doing is essentially linked to nature but in reality, what we do couldn’t be further removed from the natural world. If we add to this the fact that 15 of our top 16 killers are caused by eating animal products it becomes apparent that it’s not only the circle of death for animals, but for us as well.
This is a very common excuse people use to justify their consumption of animal products. Scientists concluded* that “humans are similar to anchovy or pigs & cannot be considered apex predators” proving we are in fact not at the top of the food chain. The predator needs to kill the prey to survive but we don’t have to kill anyone to live.
The food chains that exist in nature are incredibly important they represent the natural order & help maintain a healthy population of animals. However, the things we do to animals when we selectively breed, artificially inseminate, mutilate & farm them.. when we exploit what is rightfully theirs’(milk&eggs) before driving them in trucks to slaughterhouse where we hang them upside down & cut their throats.. These actions couldn’t be further removed from nature. It has NOTHING to do with the food chain!
The food chain that we have created for ourselves is a human construct to try & conveniently justify an entirely unnecessary act. It is a misconception that overlooks our ability to make moral decisions. It allows us to slaughter trillions of animals every year under the illusion that it is a part of the natural world. We believe that because we have placed ourselves at the top of a hierarchical system we then have the right to exploit those below us.
If we look throughout history, all atrocities were committed by people that felt they were superior, & that their worth of life was higher than those that they were oppressing. Just because we have the physical ability to enslave & exploit others doesn’t make it morally justifiable to do so. All beings have the right to live. Animal exploitation isn’t part of the natural order, its detrimental to environments, habitats, & animal populations.
As humans, we have moral agency, we can make decisions based on a notion of right & wrong. We can be held accountable for the decisions that we make. Our actions are not predetermined for us by nature & we are obliged to make the decisions that cause the least amount of suffering to other beings. Being #vegan is the least we can do!〰️ *(http://www.pnas.org/content/110/51
Let’s biologically compare omnivore animals & humans. Omnivores have sharp claws & huge fangs while we have small hands & blunt ineffective canines. Omnivores also have short intestines which are ideal for digesting flesh, whilst humans have incredibly long intestines (which are useless at digesting flesh), hence the constipation & colon cancer! Furthermore, the digestive acid in omnivore & carnivore stomachs is very strong, ideal for digesting raw animal flesh. This explains why we are susceptible to food poisoning if we eat undercooked meat, considering that we have weak digestive acid in our stomachs. You don’t see a lion checking to make sure their dinner is half-cooked. You also don’t see a lion being picky about which part of an animal they should eat. But how often do we see stories in the newspaper of the shocking revelation that a piece of chicken brain has been found in a FastFood meal? These articles remind us of the reality that our meat comes from a living animal with feelings, forcing people to confront the abject reality of where their food comes from. 〰️
A real omnivore isn’t disgusted by the gore. Let’s consider this, if you were locked in a room with a live chicken & an apple, you would always eat the apple first. When we see a living being we don’t feel hungry, we wouldn’t want to ravage animals & tear them apart. However, when we see an apple we do feel hungry because it feels natural to eat it. 〰️
Let’s be real here, humans kill animals because we enjoy the way they taste. If people had to slaughter the animals themselves, they would stop eating meat altogether. We also shelter this truth from our children, since we consider the reality of slaughterhouses to be too disturbing for a child. Many of us oppose animal exploitation such as dog fighting or hunting as they are seen as cruel & only done for pleasure. Yet we eat animals which is also cruel & only done for pleasure. 〰️
Is there even a point in comparing animal and human behaviours? Wild animals kill each other, does that mean it is okay for humans to kill each other just because some wild animals do? You may see a pattern here, it’s called morality.
I’ve shared this before and I’ll share it again and again and again. I did Not know, I repeat did Not know that a cow (like us) had to have a baby to produce milk 🙈🤯you may laugh but I have since found out I’m not the only one 😳 So for a cow to produce milk - like us humans - she needs to have a baby first. Once the baby is born it is taken from its mother. If it’s a boy it’s chopped up for veal if it’s a girl it’s used as a dairy cow and the following process continues. The milk in which mummy cow makes is taken by us humans for milk, cheese and yogurt. I also recently discovered It is no more necessary for us to drink cows milk than it is to drink dogs milk, cats milk or baboon milk - on the contrary to what the industry has led us to believe. I have seriously enjoyed and have felt an awesome difference by weaning myself off the cows Titties for eg no more facial spots and almost zero lumpy breasts 😱
Also once mummy cow is completely exhausted from having usually 4-5 babies over the few years of her short life, she is then dragged to the slaughterhouse for our burgers, steaks etc. When you say oh I don’t have much meat nowadays but I can’t live without milk, cheese or yoghurt 🧀 please have a think about the journey it went through before getting to your cereal, cheeseboard or pizza 🍕 Going vegan for me and many others has proved we don’t need any of this for us to live a much happier and healthier life, and all of these products are now available in a vegan version so you don’t feel like you have to go without 🙌💓please save these poor mummas and their babies from going through such heartache and choose #plantbased#milk such as #almondmilk#soymilk#cashewmilk#coconutmilk#hempmilk etc etc there is also #vegancheese and tons of other vegan options available so we can stick to our morals and not pay for such cruelty and destruction 🙏💓💓💓🌱did you know the only time humans ever have to drink milk is as a baby from our their own mothers breast, or of course formulas which are made especially for human consumption.
Want more info or proof just google “dairy cows” - #dairyisscary 🙈 #dairyisfuckingscary
There is still a debate about whether or not we are omnivores. I personally think that vegans are omnivores just because we can digest meat, but that our preferred source of fuel is plants. However, having the ability to do something doesn’t mean it’s right to do so. Human beings can carry out many atrocities, & some do, but those that do face punishment because their actions are wrong. Having canine teeth or the ability to digest meat doesn’t justify eating animals in the same way having hands doesn’t justify choking someone to death.
Having canines is a commonly used justification for killing and eating animals. There is a couple of ways at looking at this argument. Many people nowadays believe that humans aren’t naturally omnivorous & that we are more closely related to herbivores or even frugivores. People point to some of our physical attributes like the fact that we have incredibly long intestines, significantly longer than natural omnivores & natural meat eaters. However, they forget that we also have very weak hydrochloric acid in our stomach. Our claws or our nails are incredibly blunt & not at all effective at tearing apart an animal. Furthermore, our jaws move from side to side & they grind the food rather than tear in & rip food apart like a natural animal eater does. While we’re talking about our teeth, it is important to mention our canines. Some people argue that humans have canines to bite meat, however our canines are incredibly blunt & rudimentary when compared to canines of lions for example. The reason we have our canines is to help us bite into hard crunchy fruits & vegetables such as apples. In fact, you may be shocked to learn that natural herbivores such as gorillas, the sabertooth deer, camels and hippos also have canines. Actually, the largest canines of any land animal on this planet belong to the hippo. The hippo’s canines are significantly larger than that of a lion, tiger, jaguar, panther or any other natural carnivore. These facts should really make us stop and think for a moment and reconsider this argument.
🛑🛑🛑 THIS IS WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND SUPPORT IF YOU ARE NOT VEGAN. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. PLEASE PEOPLE, PLEASE. 🛑🛑🛑
They have no food, no water, dead or dying on the road or stuck on top of each other inside a truck after an accident, likely in great agony, which probably is not much worse than what they would have endured if they reached their destination.
People say it's offensive to compare this to the holocaust, why? How do these pigs have it any better?
Sentient beings, with higher intelligence than dogs, treated like nothing but products, their suffering totally ignored. And if they arrive, they get gassed to death.
And this right here is a very small part of their suffering, their lives before this event are in most cases a living hell, crammed inside metal boxes on concrete floor, barely any space to move, no chance to enjoy even a second of their lives. And the only time they get to see sunlight is here, while dying on the road.
If all of these were dogs, would you care?
Why does a dog deserve to be free from suffering, but not a pig?
Because they look differently?
How is that any better than racism?
EMBRACE VEGANISM 🌱
Both The American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the British Dietetic Association (which are the two world's largest bodies of nutritionist professionals) have stated that a proper vegan diet would provide you with all the necessary nutrients for all stages of life including pregnancy, infancy, childhood and can even be adequate for athletes. They also have stated that vegans are at a reduced risk of certain health conditions such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, certain types of cancer and obesity. ❥
The largest study* ever done on vegan nutrient profiles has addressed concerns relating to vegan diets having low intakes of vitamin B12, calcium. omega-3 fatty acids, iron and zinc. The study concluded that the average intake of these nutrients was above the necessary requirements for vegans.
Based on the above, switching to a healthy vegan diet will undoubtedly be healthier than a "regular" diet. By becoming a vegan, you are also not eating any hormones and antibiotics that have been pumped into the animals during factory farming.
A healthy wholefood plant-based vegan diet is based around whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, fresh vegetables and fruits. This diet is low in fat, has no cholesterol, and provides plenty of protein, calcium, fibre, and other nutrients for optimal nutrition. Remember, healthy vegan diets are great for everyone! #BeVegan
Most people truly believe that animal products contain nutritional elements that cannot be found elsewhere. There is an idea that we need animal flesh for protein and cow’s milk for calcium, but the truth is that those can be obtained from plant sources.
Both the British & American Dietetic Associations (which are the largest bodies of diet & nutrition professionals in both countries) have stated that a vegan plant-based diet is nutritionally adequate, healthy and safe for all stages of life including pregnancy. This means that we can be assured that we can get all the nutrients we need without eating animals or their secretions.
Nutrients such as protein, iron, calcium, zinc, B12, omega-3, omega 6, fatty acids and every other nutrient that we associate animal products with, can be found abundantly in plants. They can also be easily obtained without the need of animal products.
In fact, animal consumption causes some of the most prevalent diseases affecting our society. Heart disease, cancer, Type II Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, strokes, hypertension & kidney failure have all been inextricably linked to the consumption of animals’ products. Many of those diseases can be prevented, treated or even reversed by simply switching to a plant-based lifestyle.
In conclusion, there is no reason for us to keep consuming animal products. The horrible pain that we’re currently inflicting on animals is entirely unnecessary and morally unjustifiable. Please help end their suffering, please #BeVegan .
𝘼𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧: someone who loves, respects and shows compassion to all animals. Who acknowledges that all animals are worthy, to live a life free of human oppression.
I used to wholeheartedly believe that I was an animal lover, that I’d never do anything to harm an innocent being, but yet I had their flesh on my plate. How could I shower my cat with unconditional love & continue to consume other animals? It always seemed culturally acceptable, but the more I dove into uncovering the facts of animal exploitation the more I felt like a hypocrite. We live in a society of animal lovers, yet how can this same society continue to pay for a system that slaughters a shocking 56 billion farmed animals & over 2.5 trillion marine animals every single year. Furthermore, we live in a society of pet lovers, who love & cherish the animals we have traditionally in our homes such as dogs, cats, hamsters, etc. These are the animals we love because of course it is impossible to love animals if you pay for them to be murdered.
If a parent beat their child, would we say that that parent loved their child? Of course not, because you can’t love someone if you inflict intentional pain onto them. It goes against the very foundations of love. This obviously also applies to animals, if someone were to beat a dog, we’d hardly call them a dog lover. There is a moral hypocrisy in this society of “animal lovers” who pay for cows, pigs, chicks, sheep, fish to be slaughtered for no necessary reason.
If you love someone the last thing you’d want is for pain to be inflicted upon them, for them to suffer, to be tortured & mutilated, to be put into a gas chamber or have their throat slit. You can’t love animals if their flesh is on your plate, their secretions in your cup (milk), or scrambled on your toast(eggs). You can’t if you wear their skin or feathers, you can’t if you buy cosmetics that were tested on them. You can’t truly love animals if you’re not vegan. To genuinely love animals means to show them all respect, love, compassion, dignity & kindness. To breed them into a system, of exploitation and suffering is the opposite of loving them. PLEASE #BeVegan ✌️💚
