"I don't support that, I eat grass fed meat" said a passerby at the Cube of Truth tonight in San Jose. This woman didn't stop so I didn't have an opportunity to talk to her, and to help her realize that ALL animals end up at the slaughterhouse no matter how the are raised. It is the truth. And it's traumatizing and scary and it shakes us to our core, so much so that we don't want to face the reality. I spoke to another young woman who was on the verge of crying, saying she loves animals and she can't watch the footage. If it's not good for our eyes, how can it be good for our stomachs? And if we can't even stand to watch it, how do the animals feel when their entire life is suffering and ends in a horrible death? It's an incredibly harsh reality to acknowledge, and it doesn't have to continue. A man I spoke to said that if aliens came down and did to humans, what we do to animals, it would be terrifying and barbaric. I couldn't agree more, and tragically a life that ends in terror is all these animals know. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to speak for the animals and share the truth, and I will always continue speaking for the animals. Animals want and deserve to live, just like us.
I've been a bit absent lately with my son starting daycare, fighting a cold, entering a cake competition, and dealing with my never ending to do list. Selling my truck has been so difficult! Everyone wants a great truck for 1000 and there's no way lol. Anyway here's the cake i entered! I have to say nothing went correctly however I made the best of what I had and it still came out looking appealing and tasting great 🤗
Not gonna lie, I really want some avocado toast right now. But I’m super excited for the pickle festival I’m going to today!! Just got to find something for breakfast in Pittsburgh I guess? Any suggestions??
Stuffs about to get real up in here!! Hey instafamily! My instagram account is about to change drastically and I wanted to know what y’all thought.... It’s no longer going to be about pic of vegan food (although super yum) but about myself, my journey and my struggles. My struggles with, loss, anger, addiction, depression, loneliness, being a single, 47yr old woman. My journey with veganism, (and how passionate I am about it and animal rights) wellness, meditation, the power of attraction, positive affirmations, yoga, holistic healing, essential oils, weight loss + exercise and a whole bunch more.
Just so ya’ know. This is SCARY AF. Putting yourself out there. My goal, my wish, my purpose is to help just one other person out there who can relate to my story. That would make me sooooooo happy.
I promise to be as real and authentic as I possibly can...sometimes that may not be pretty but it’ll be real. The ONLY reason I feel like I’m able to do this at this point in my life is because of the people that have inspired me. These people are real, and honest and spiritual and kind and loving and inspiring to me so thank you. I have tagged them all so that they know they’ve HELPED ME and hopefully will inspire some of you.
Okay guys...stay tuned. Love you all! 😘❤️

After hearing these facts about the conditions that animals are forced to endure on factory farms you might be displeased to learn that 99% of all of the meat that is sold, comes from factory farms, something to keep in mind.
I know that these can be very hard to look at. However, if this is what it takes for people to wake up and realize exactly what they are contributing to, then I am all for it, as it needs to be done. I know a number of people who have gone completely Vegan after watching the graphic film “Earthlings,” which exposes the inner workings of factory farms. People are simply unaware of what has been going on behind closed doors, the intent is to open some eyes and open the doors to this tragedy that has been taking place for far too long.
🔷The term that comes across, as ethical “free range” isn’t at all, and in some cases is worse for the overall well being of the chickens than being kept in cages. 🔷Newborn calves are taken away from their mothers almost immediately after birth.
🔷More than 80 percent of the antibiotics used in the United States were fed to livestock.
🔷Calves that are bred for veal are kept in tiny very dark containers called veal crates for their entire short lives.
🙏82% of cows used for dairy production have their tails cut off.
🔷Pregnant sows are kept in disgustingly small cages and are unable to even turn around.
🔷65% Of Hogs tested from factory farms had pneumonia.
🔷Almost all of the cattle raised on factory farms for the purpose of consumption are fed a diet that consists of GMO corn. Cows are naturally meant to eat grass.
After reading this a lot of people will think, yes this is terrible, but what can I actually do to stop this? This is just how the world is. I want you to understand that you can make a difference. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret MeadAfter reading this a lot of people will think, yes this is terrible, but what can I actually do to stop this? Once in a blue moon I'll get VeganBurg, it's not as good as beyond burger patties in my opinion, but it's still a great vegan option to have locally. The best part is they have soft serve ice cream with rainbow 🌈 sprinkles!!
