Everything looks super great in this photo, and it wasn’t all bad. I mean, that view was amazing. But I was so sick with a cold (like miserable level 100) and hiking up a mountain in the blazing sun with a bajillion percent humidity really took a toll on me 😅 Totally wasn’t prepared for the humidity levels in Maine. Usually I’m unfazed by stuff like that but dang 🔥 About an hour after this I had to take my shirt off and wrap it around my shoulders because I was paranoid I was gonna get sunburnt real bad 😬  It did the trick though and no burning happened here. But the bad equaled out with the good because I got to see a very majestic German Shepherd plus dip my toes in the very very ice cold ocean and eat a really good salad in the sand 😎 I love hearing stories behind pretty photos because most of the time there’s a lot of variety of experiences that have lead to that one picture perfect moment 📸

Mi recomendación en estos casos es simplemente empezar. Cualquier tipo de movimiento es mejor que nada, y no menospreciemos la importancia del movimiento básico, caminar.🚶🏻‍♀️ En un mundo obsesionado con las calorías, cuántas quemas por hora suele ser el criterio de decisión principal de muchas personas a la hora de seleccionar su actividad física.😣 Esta limitada visión  del Fitness🤓 es la que aprovecha la industria para vender productos 💊💉que prometen quemar calorías sin esfuerzo, y es el motivo por el que muchos se autocastigan con ejercicio aeróbico durante horas pensando que es el camino más corto hacia su cuerpo soñado. Yay, I did it!😎 Headstand with my legs in control straight up instead of kicking the wall down💪. And no..... I can't achieve it everytime.

Each time I do handstands, I feel that I've worked out my triceps like crazy. Who knows if my technique is correct but I certainly get a good workout out of it😁. #transformationtuesday because i was scrolling through my old facebook pictures and i came across this. i don't have a lot of pictures of my body pre "brooke n burritos" and that's mainly because i never liked how i looked. i found veganism in december of 2015 and went cold turkey right away. i did it all wrong, instead of eating a healthy amount while still remaining plant based- i was plant based and eating nearly NOTHING. i'm talking like 1,000 cals less a day people on top of dance and excessive cardio. i moved to florida that following summer and with all the stress, hot working conditions, and busy schedule i was losing more weight and having less concentration on my diet than before. i lost so much weight my first few months in florida, it was insane. in the photo on the left, i had just started my Disney College Program and i went through a lot of changes. i could bet i looked at the picture on the left and could say i still wasn't "skinny enough". and man am i SO glad i don't have that mindset anymore. i love food, i get my cals in, i don't care if i'm "skinny enough", i'm not afraid to pick up weights and gain muscle, and i'm LIVING. that girl on the right may not be 93 lbs anymore but i'm eating on a flexible, comfortable diet/lifestyle and hittin the gym in a healthy way now. it may not look that different physically in those pictures but mentally, those are two different people. yes it's important to grow those muscles but you can't forget to grow your mind! your mindset can change everything 💪🏼

Getting to your goal is all about MINDSET, less about specifics. You have to quiet the noise and stay focused. For me and in my opinion, getting caught up in details - in exact “grams”, exact amounts of reps, in exact minutes of cardio is really difficult to sustain and might set you up for failure (in the long term)🤔Listening to your body and doing workouts you LOVE💖 is crucial for sticking to any workout plan. If you’re really not feeling it, stick on your fave playlist and just do what feels good, for me that’s usually going back to basic compound movements (but it’s whatever YOU enjoy, that’s the key!)
